- A little experiment for you, can the Boss Digital Delay DD-200 analogue mode sound better than the all analogue DM-2w? I put them side by side and let YOU decide! Let me know in the comments if you think it sounds as good!
#boss #bosspedal #delay #dd200 #wazacraft
This video came at the exact right time for me. I was debating these two pedals or even a DD-8. Great comparison.
You can’t go wrong with either option to be fair but the DD-200 is super versatile, built in tap tempo, presets and loads of algorithms to play with.
Great video mate! You can't really go wrong with Boss in my opinion. Unrelated note, where can I get some of those patch cables you've got there? They look super low profile
Thanks mate! Search for EBS on Andertons and you’ll find them!
Still have my old DM-2 from 1982 ! Cheers from France.
Nice, I’d love to build a collection of vintage Boss pedals! Also, that’s the year I was born 😂.
@harton82Lucky man, I'm almost 62 ! I still have my SD-1 from the same year too.
@strat0871 awesome!
I’ve got the DM2w and it’s brilliant. Might get the DD200 for tap tempo and modulation on the fly
Can’t go wrong with either really!
DD-200 Has so much but no ping pong, which is mind blowing to me...
Does the 500 series have ping pong? Maybe it’s a way for them to differentiate and get you to buy the more expensive unit?
@@JasonWharton82 I think that's it... bummer, though. The 500 has (I think) so many extra features that it doesn't warrant the absence of PP in the 200. Alas...
They sound VERY similar... but i think i preferred the red one.
It’s a fine choice my friend!
I use the Boss dd-200 as a wide range utility delay, along with a JAM pedals Delay Llama when I want a 'pure' analog bucket brigade sound. I'm very happy with this combo.
Yeah I like having both as an option
Cant beat an analogue delay. Even though digital certainly has its important sound for some
Yeah I like how they just get out of your way, adds some nice ambience without overtaking what you are playing.
There’s no “better” between these two but imo the analog mode on the DD-200 is better. At least for what I play. It sounds more analog than analog if you want it to.
There’s no better but the DD-200 is better? 😂 I get what you mean though, that fact that you can dirty up the repeats even more on the DD and also add modulation makes it a little more interesting than the DM.
@@JasonWharton82 yeah it makes no sense but I’m glad you know what I mean.
Sometimes I think we have to overdo certain vintage effects for them to sound the way we remember them.
