I love the fact that with so much of this early art, they had no way to know that their paintings would last for millennia; they were really just doing what they could and hoping for the best.
"We set off to the ancient egypt, or as the ancients called it - Egypt." God damn, why does this hit my humor so hard, I had to pause the video to laugh 😅
I love pretty much every video that comes out of this channel, but I actually especially enjoyed this one. It was informative and fun, and I love hearing from an art professional where he thinks technology will take us in the future in terms of our creativity as humans. Would love to see more like this.
So, I’m down to watch an actual in debt 60 minute video or a series where Jazza talks about the history of art and the mediums used in those art pieces. Like he did with the Chinese way of making paint. Why? Because Jazza brings it such a good way. Explaining it very good for everyone to understand and use humor like for example Da Vinci being not allowed to get in or the Oil bit. I love history and love art. Let one of the funniest artists of UA-cam explain it and teach us why we do what we with the mediums we have right now. What were the original thoughts behind the medium, where and why were they invented, who were the once that invented it, how old approximately the medium is and if we still use it in the same way or did it get an evolution throughout the decades. If it would be a series, it maybe would be cool to show the way our ancestors would’ve used it and create a piece that everyone understands by viewing it of how that medium maybe changed over the years by the way we use it today. Jazza, if you read this what probably wouldn’t be the case but if you do maybe it would be something for you to do. It’s a big project I know but young and old could enjoy this. I really love this 10 minute video, hopefully you are willing to make a series about it. Education about these art forms, art works and art mediums is what I really would love to see. Maybe I’m the only one but I hope more people feel the same way about this. And the fact that children these days are on their phones and tablets all the time they could actually learn something while watching you.
Art History was my all time fave course in college. I wasn't even majoring in art but I took both levels. It was that fascinating. I think professor Jazza would be amazing.
I too came away with a new sense of aww. Our robot overlords towards the end look so darn cuddly. You just want to hug the tread of their boots as they crush the last glimmers of life from your broken body. Sweet.
When Jazza teaches you more about the hostory of Art in less than 10 minutes than the Art Department at the school I went to could have in several years xD I'm pretty sure, Egypt, Greece and Venice are also in Vegas :D
This is Jazza's version of the two videos Safiya Nygaard just released >< using the vegas hotels to show art styles. which is honestly pretty fucking cool if you ask me
If anyone has a further interest in art history, I recommend The Story of Art by Ernst Gombrich. I had to read that in my first semester, it's a fairly easy to read (at least in German, idk about the translations) introduction to art history starting in prehistoric times and ending in the 20th century. It is focused on Europe tho, Islamic and Chinese art for example is only mentioned in a chapter or two iirc
im just imagining archaeologists in 20,000 years finding homer simpson on a cave wall and trying to decipher some kind of deeper meaning or potentially extinct animal from it
The editing in this video is crazy good! And that laptop looks amazing!(hope i'll be able to one day afford something like that) Thank you for the great video, Jazza!
Ah Las Vegas, the only place where you can go from ancient egypt, to renaissance venice, then take a jaunt to medieval england, and finish off with a view from the eiffel tower, all in a day. I love my town. Hope you enjoyed your trip Jazza
Agreed, when the background is still I really don't know whether it's a museum he actually went to or a picture of a place! The video backgrounds are just different enough to be more obvious but it's still really well integrated.
Hi Jazza ! This was a nice little documentary about the History of Art, too bad we didn't get to see much of the Renaissance painting which are in my opinion worth the watch :) I believe you are doing a great service by making this kind of video, it can make people be curious about this timeless thing that got Humanity through the ages : Art. The one that gets curious will find his answers, so thank you for that ! Also I wanted to ask something... And I know it's really strange, but... What's the music playing during the Asus ad? I make music during my free time and I freakin' love Techno, I would love to listen to this one :)
Now I want to find a cave somewhere that no one else has been in and cover the walls with memes, block it off and spend years of laughter imagining what people will think of it if it ever discovered hundreds of years from now. It doesn't matter that the cave might collapse or never even be uncovered, it's the fun of the joke.
I really enjoyed this video Jazza. Felt inbetween newschool jazza with a mix of old school jazza. I would love more of these types of vids please in the mix. :)
You should have included art conservation and restoration. The invention of archival and reversible pigments for retouching old paintings. Baumgartner Restoration is a great channel to learn about this.
I love the fact that with so much of this early art, they had no way to know that their paintings would last for millennia; they were really just doing what they could and hoping for the best.
isnt that what we all do
I was so expecting the title to be a gag, and was pleasantly surprised when it wasn’t! This was really cool, I enjoyed every minute of it!!
The only gag part is that all of that was filmed in Vagas XD. Took me a while to catch on until I saw the venice recreation
I honestly would love more videos like this, kinda like art history with professor jazza
I 100% agree!!
"We set off to the ancient egypt, or as the ancients called it - Egypt." God damn, why does this hit my humor so hard, I had to pause the video to laugh 😅

That was a great long-form ad. I laughed, I cried, I came away with a new sense of awe. Good work Jazza from cave to cave. 😊
I too came away with a new sense of aww. Our robot overlords towards the end look so darn cuddly. You just want to hug the tread of their boots as they crush the last glimmers of life from your broken body. Sweet.
He forgot to mention one of the best forms of art, Doctor Who.
I clicked because of the sonic screwdriver, love doctor who ♥️
Can we just appreciate the editing and the gags of this video.. It's amazing💕😍
When Jazza teaches you more about the hostory of Art in less than 10 minutes than the Art Department at the school I went to could have in several years xD
I'm pretty sure, Egypt, Greece and Venice are also in Vegas :D
Yep
Kudos to you and your team on SUCH GOOD LIGHTING

This is amazing, you're able to make the most boring things interesting ✨
this was a fun watch

What a great vid I love history, and your storytelling was on point. Like everyone else, I would love to see more of Proff Jaza.
This is Jazza's version of the two videos Safiya Nygaard just released >< using the vegas hotels to show art styles. which is honestly pretty fucking cool if you ask me
The sonic screwdriver had me laughing, and questioning how the Eleventh Doctor was an artist.

Jazza this is one of the best video you've ever made. We love youuuu
Some of the green screen work was quite good. With some shots, I'm really not sure if Jazza went there or if its a green screen
Agreed, when the background is still I really don't know whether it's a museum he actually went to or a picture of a place! The video backgrounds are just different enough to be more obvious but it's still really well integrated.
same lmao
The bodybuilder/adult model featured at the start of the 'Oil' part is Carl hardwick AKA Rusty jeffers.
Göbekli Tepe is older than Egypt's monuments, There are several civilisations that made mammoth structurers before the Egyptians.
I just wanted to say that i love youre videos ive been tuned since 2019 and youve been entertaining ever since

Now I want to find a cave somewhere that no one else has been in and cover the walls with memes, block it off and spend years of laughter imagining what people will think of it if it ever discovered hundreds of years from now.
