@@GeorgiaandDavid- Question for you… what size photo did you both bring to the Raleigh Consulate? Was it a standard USA Passport photo or a Mexican Visa size which is smaller?
Our meeting in Raleigh is June 15th. Ours so far is a little different, Edith did not ask us to email any documents. What was the amount for TR? I know they vary.
I put in a screenshot of the requirements I received from the consulate via email at the very end of the video. Those were the requirements as of the end of 2021. They changed in 2022.
Yes, unfortunately with Mexico things can be very inconsistent. I would always recommend calling or emailing over trying to use the website. If you can get ahold of a person they are usually very helpful.
We head to Raleigh for a TR appointment at the end of August. We got passport photos at Walgreens but I've seen conflicting info that they need to be formatted (sized) for a Mexican passport. Did you do this or just get U.S. sized passport photos? We made our appointment by email and Tanya at the consulate sent the Visa requirements but did not ask us to email copies of our documents ahead of time. It was impossible to get an appointment at the DC consulate which sadly is a 25 minute drive for us so we are going to Raleigh, a 5-hour drive. Want to make sure we have everything to a T since it's a hike.
We used US sized photos. They didn't even use them though, they took their own photos. I'd still bring them just in case. Make sure that every one of your financial statements has a stamp from your bank, or a business card attached.
Hello it's me again 2 questions about the actual application page 2- where it says place and date- what did you put or what are they actually asking? On page 1 - purpose of visit- ultimately to move there??
Page 2 we signed and dated at the consulate and listed the location of the consulate when we were there. Purpose - to improve my fluency in Espanol and immerse myself in the culture.
Because Mexico has beautiful cities, beaches, towns, and nature. We enjoy it's rich culture, delicious food, and friendly people. I am sad for you since you are so ignorant you will never have the amazing experiences we have enjoyed.
we have near 2 million americans living in our country legally or illegally, since US has converted to very unaffordable and expensive place to live, and where wages don't match expenses anymore
My husband and I have just initiated the process for our TR this week. I will follow your future progress very closely. 😁
Spoiler* we now have our 1yr TR cards in hand. We will post a video about it in a couple of weeks. Good luck with yours!
Great info !
I am in Texas and the consulates over here are booked for months !
When Mexico stopped automatically giving 180 days upon entry, I think a lot more people than usual decided to apply for residency.
but Brandon said the economy is best ever..........why would they want to leave all that?

Fingers crossed it goes smoothly for you too!
@@GeorgiaandDavid thanks I have 1 more question- had you highlighted any areas on your bank statement to show your deposits per month??
@@moniqueaftertrucking We used investment balances not income to qualify and we didn't make any markings on our statements.
@@GeorgiaandDavid thank you so much for responding

I'm not sure about the amount. We qualified for permanent so I didn't ask specifics.

I'm trying to schedule an appointment and nothing seems to be straight forward.

Why in holy hell would you want to live in Mexico ???
Though so many of them over here, there may be fewer of them in Mexico now....
