    In this video, I explain how I afford to travel full-time as a single mom.
    🤗Hey! I am Amoya (Trippin' Momma). I am a single mom of 3 who got rid of all of my possessions to travel the world full-time. After traveling through the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Italy, Albania, and Kosovo, we decided to move to Mexico and have a home base. Subscribe to our channel to see what it is really like to be a digital nomad single mom.🌍🛬

    Single mum of 5 here taking a leap into the unknown, no savings, no guaranteed income, just a whole lot of faith in herself that that this will work and the time is NOW! We leave the UK in 5 weeks for Gran Canaria, staying in an Air Bnb by the beach for 90 days, then who knows what's next! Love your attitude and your spirit, so glad I found you. xxx

    Yes. Yes. Yes. Travel is cheaper than full-time living in the USA. Sub-$1,000 is the budget my daughter and I live on in Asia, and we have a lovely life :)

      I am single (divorced), four adult children, I am older with debt and can not wait 10 years to get rid of debt to travel. not with an Uber income. Currently selling my things to take a bold step with the help and guidance of God. Signed my letter of termination from renting my house (4 months to go). Landed a job transporting RV with the help of Ms. J Travel, she is a UA-camr and nomadic. I am HUNGRY to not sit still! Thanks for sharing.

    I'm a FL single Mom of 3 (2 and 3 boys, and 9 yr daughter) as well. Being a traveler was always my dream. I want to do international or even moving to a new state. My daughter has a great family here. I think id feel guilty if I took her or left her. I'm basically working just to pay bills and barley experiencing life with my kids. This is very inspiring.

There are alot of companies that sponsor youtubers! ALSO start a Patreon account!!! That is a great way to make some extra money and give you viewers a "behind the scenes" look!

    For the unmarried mothers, if there is no court order and father has been absent for years.... it seems impossible to ever travel out of the country. Even if you succeed in getting your child a passport, I've read that most countries want you to have a notarized letter from the other parent giving you permission to visit outside of the US. Do you know of any mothers navigating this?

    • @AmoyaShante
      @AmoyaShante  6 років тому

      jasmine kjar I have only showed my court order once and that was crossing into Canada.

    • @AmoyaShante
      @AmoyaShante  6 років тому +5

      jasmine kjar Also, if father is not listed on the birth certificate, then you will not need a letter. If he is, then I would suggest going to court and getting a court order. We have been to Mexico, Ireland, and Italy so far without being asked for a birth certificate.

    • @AmoyaShante
      @AmoyaShante  6 років тому

      @Devability it is supposed to be signed and notarized with an ID.

      Expect Canada to be careful. When I was married, I drove my daughter up there. They asked her “when is the last time you saw your father?” She said “I’m going to see him on Wednesday “

      Amoya Shante if I get a passport while my son is 2 and dad is not on the birth certificate, will I need to ever renew the passport? Will that passport b good for life? Like if I put his dad on the certificate later I won’t need a letter ever in the future?

    Great show. I'm Subscribed and Notified. Obviously I'm not a Single Mother, BUT I am Single (Widowed) and Retired, Blessed with a decent monthly income. Seems the value of a dollar could be more appreciated THERE than HERE in expensive NY, and with an adult daughter and 2 little Dogs in Tow I think I could learn to like it. If I were to estimate our monthly living expenses (and I mean everything) I'd say we're living comfortably on about $1,800. It appears I could do much more with that where you are? Hoping your show can shed some light towards future possibilities. God Bless, and Thank You so much for sharing.

    Hi i stumbled across your video I think it's so cool to be able to do that.as a single dad I constantly think about this with my two children I live in the Bay Area San Jose California it's crazy because I make around $11,000 a month and I feel broke cuz of the price I have to pay to live here I make so much money yet I don't get to travel and you don't make $ and you do travel. this is exactly why I want to drop everything and travel, good luck to you and I hope you continue to live life

    May I ask if not too personal. What about flights? That has to be expensive with luggage with a family of 5 right? Do you all travel light? What did you do with your personal sentimental things like your kids baby stuff? Just curious! Love your outlook on life btw! 🖤

    • @AmoyaShante
      @AmoyaShante  5 років тому +6

      That is not too personal. Flights can be very expensive. I slow travel. We just spent 5 months in Albania. We are now based in Mexico and we will fly for cheap around Mexico to explore or take buses. I use Skyscanner a lot to find flights. I just downloaded airfordable where you can actually make payment plans on flights. Here is the link www.airfordable.com/referred?referrer=5c599bb046783d002b1b9946
      I always recommend slow travel so you are not buying flights all the time. My youngest was not 2 for the first year so she flew free. Now, I need to get 4 tickets each time.

    But what about how you work around a parenting plan? Are the children always with you? Does your ex pay child support?

    • @AmoyaShante
      @AmoyaShante  5 років тому +7

      That is a good question. I am pretty transparent. My girls do not have the same dad. The older two have no dad involved. I have full custody of them. For my youngest, I also have sole custody but her dad has rights. I had a travel and living abroad section put into my divorce decree. My youngest comes from an abusive marriage so he is not really in our life. I receive child support for one child but I never recommend on relying on child support. It is not a guarantee.

      Deidra Johnson It all depends on the country. Take Mexico for example. You can stay for up to 6 months on a tourist visa. You just fill out the visa paperwork on the plane. It is super easy. Good luck! You can totally do this.

It will be best for us. I've done the math work and I could save roughly $1,000 a month. But my mom is freaking out a bit on thus big change. This will work best to relieve my stress. This video was very interesting.....I ticked a little at the Air B N B comment Air B & B service varies per country. Air B N B in France is not as good service wise last year we got an incredibly dirty stinky loging, this was during the pandemic and you do not want to stay in something that had obviously not been cleaned in months. Hairs in the bed etc... Air b n b said we will call you back - they never did! I called over and over and everytime they would say we are looking into it (they had photos and video proofs). 1 year later still not heard from them. We ended up sleeping in a car because the stench was so bad my child was vomiting. Luckily I knew the country pretty well as it is where I am from but I would have felt scared in an unknown country in this situation as a single mom with young child.

      @@AmoyaShante Trippin' Momma Yes. I'm scared-xcited as my baby would say lol. Fellow Texan here, Longhorn, was stationed at LAFB yearrrrrs ago lol. Have a girl, a narcissistic, philandering ex, a few other things I won't mention so I don't inadvertently tell on myself. Basically I was so devastated by the betrayalllllssss I went into a level of depression that I did not know existed. I felt like I was drowning and everybody was watching completely unbothered. The further I sank I kept moving my daughter up my body to keep her from drowning with me. One day after a series of unfortunate events related to our split and finances I just decided that I needed to save myself and my daughter and it couldn't be done in an ideal way because I didn't have ideal support. We did a few test day trips and I was sold. I had to accept that it will be discreet for awhile. I don't care to live life full incognito, but I have to for now. • @AmoyaShante
      @AmoyaShante  5 років тому +1

      I started off with traveling just in the USA and it was great. Of course it is more expensive traveling through the USA but we still had a good time. We traveled by car and stayed in Airbnbs and Armed Forces Lodgings along the way. I knew how much I could spend each week on accommodations so I stuck to that. I truly think traveling by camper is a whole lot more expensive than by car even with having to pay for Airbnbs. Check out my friend, Bionca Smith's, UA-cam channel Off The Grid With A Kid.

    You are so right about Austin. I've lived in Austin in recent years and it got more insanely expensive every year - and less pleasant to live in, too, because all the cool, artistic people that the world associates with the city were driven out by the unaffordable housing and by the new dominant group: wealthy white people. I saw more road rage my last few years in Austin than I had in almost two decades of previous time there, always from entitled grown white children in BMWs and Range Rovers, like just crazy stuff. And the city got physically uglier, with huge office buildings replacing the trees and the humble old houses that used to give the city such a relaxed feel. No more.
