I find the aspect of imbuing metals especially fascinating, especially because it brings up an idea for me. We know that the Sith could imbue metals with the Force and for example forge swords that were not only equal to lightsabers in terms of destructive prowess but also served as a sort of focus for the Force. With this in mind, may it have been possible to imbue the cybernetics of of a Sith with the Force as well? We know that many Sith more often than not suffered grievous injuries (no pun intended) and were often reduced in their Force potential for it. While I still personally believe that this is mostly tied to the psychological issues that such injuries bring with them, the loss of limbs for example severely limits ones ability to use Force Lightning, as is the case with Vader. Having to use cybernetics in and on itself however does apparently not automatically mean that someone's Force potential is lessened, as seen with Darth Gean, according to Plagueis. It's apparently more about the physical aspects of lightning interacting with sensitive electronics. Might it have been possible to craft prosthetic limbs for Vader via Alchemy to actually allow him to use Force Lightning without the danger of shorting out his own breathing apparatus? Or allow Force Users with cybernetics hands or arms in general to conduct Force Lightning through those altered limbs?
I would almost say that a Jedi could be an alchemist but instead of using the Dark Side they would use the Light Side to create vaccines and cures for plagues and poisons by pouring the Light Side into certain chemicals to create them. Like the Rakoul Plague could be defeated by using a cure and vaccine that is made for a Light Side imbued chemical serum that reverts the victims back to their original state and the vaccine part prevents any future infection thus defeating the disease once and for all. After all what the Dark Side mutates the Light Side should be able to heal and undo. As it’s stated when the Dark grows the Light will rise to meet it. The only problem it is that when alchemical beasts are unleashed the Jedi don’t have enough time to properly research a way to undo it and have to deal with the problem immediately or risk the destruction of millions. Sadly this means they often have to put the monster out of its misery rather than capture it, isolate it from any population and then work on trying to cure it. So I wouldn’t write off Force Alchemy as completely evil, because in this context I’d say that it has potential to help innocent people and creatures by using the Light Side instead of the Dark Side it’s just that no one bothered to think of it.
i may use it but never on living(sentient) things the risk of the force itself meddling with it and making it backfire would be too high. My focus would be with more neutral/light side alter abilities like art of the small or imbue item. if i was FULL sith id imagine id try to use it to make artificial or a new strain of midichlorians that i can increase my own power with.
I’d personally like to see more explored into the different sides of the Force abilities. Such as we see Merrin in Fallen Order and we see that yes, she is of the Nightsisters but she uses their magic for good. Though it is of the Dark Side, Merrin uses it to do good. It would be nice to see this explored in other areas, such as an alchemy form that was started by a past Jedi but was never completed before their death, though their findings prove that alchemy can be used for good. As well as magic, a magic that stems directly from the Light Side and is inherently good in nature. It would give more depth to the 2 orders and their desire to be the complete opposites from each other, but also give more depth to the Force itself showing that the Force follows the saying, “Where there is good, so shall evil be present; but while evil lives, good shall never rest.” I would, as a Jedi, attempt to study these forbidden areas to bring a greater understanding to them and prove that they can be good as well, just as some of the past Jedi have challenged the order and overturned an idea that was long held as wrong. If knowledge is pursued in the purpose of peace, kindness, and protection then why should these arts be banned if there is the possibility for good to be wrought from what is considered evil, to ensure a new dawn that will be beneficial and good for all? The Jedi are wary of change and accepting new things, but the value that alchemy and magic could bring if it’s potential light counterpart was found could do so much for the order and the galaxy.
Fighting Terentatek, and Storm Beasts in Star Wars KOTOR games we really challenging. I can only imagine how Leviathans were strong in this ancient battles.
Same here. I would probably use Sith Alchemy in a lot of experiments involving electronic devices, bacteria, viruses, and armor. Maybe create something similar to the Berserker-Armor from Berserk or even something more like the half-yoma warriors from Claymore.
I could see someone who was *EXTREMELY* Light Side aligned and *REALLY* knew what they were doing could possibly borrow some (though not all) of the Dark Side's Force Alchemy techniques, and use them to enhance and augment a being's best qualities, similar to the power behind Shazam and Greyskull.
@@freddiebinthaplace2be634 Very true, but I didn't say "Jedi", did I. Also, this augmentation is never permanent. It is only ever granted to those who are willing to give the power up when a task that needed it is complete, those who truly and deeply understand what being a Real Hero is.
it's a shame that the ancient Jeda'ii order abandoned such power, they could have achieved great things, maybe have someone mentally strong and in the clear using such power could've done some good to them
couldn't you technically use alchemy for good, such as creating a sort-of force healing in a bottle, that's better than kolto ? admittedly, we've never seen this as most wounds are combat related and need urgent treatment, but some creative applications may be found. alchemy doesn't strike me as inherently evil
I remember hearing an audio version of the Death Trooper story and it was the scariest thing I’ve listened to in a long time. It makes perfect sense to me that the cause of it all was a version of the most sinister way to use the force.
I absolutely would dip my toes into alchemy going so far as to use it upon myself to achieve the immortality that all sith seek in addition to increasing my power.
@@Mark-in8ju No idea what those are, but I am talking more ever lasting life with high grade regeneration rather than full on immortality. Basically, really really hard to kill me, and you can't just wait for me to get old.
I think there’s a fine line between selfish n selfless depending on the situation regardless if the individual is pure of heart that line can be very thin or very wide. For example: revan n anakin but certain applications can be very damaging but it’s still good to be knowledgeable of all aspects instead of being ignorant & naive or held back by your training or doctrine by both orders & their many iterations over the milenias.
Sith alchemy is inherently dark side because the light side is to go with the will of the force, but the dark side is to bend it to your will, so normally the force goes into objects and being it’s chooses, forcing it into something is by definition bending it to your will and so dark side.
I would have loved if the movies had gone into Dark Side Alchemy and other uses of the Force. I hope they use it in a future SW project. There is just so much they can use and, if feels like, they've barely scratched the surface.
I say this to the claim that the Force itself despises Alchemy. If it hates Alchemy so much, then why are all the beasts created using it able to reproduce? Surely the Force would render such "abominations" sterile in order to keep them from propagating on their own. No. The claim that the Force itself hates Alchemy is little more than another piece of Jedi propaganda.
The most repulsive part of this video is that the jedi , the same jedi that not only disgrace the force itself but strive to destroy whatever parts of the force that they don't agree with . But go out of their way to disrespect their own forebearers .
I would definitely go into alchemy, not sure, which one, items seems to be innocent enough for me, but I would probably wanted to go into life side to create new ecosystem and help with Terraformation on inhabitable planets, how increase my own or others force sensitivity and how give normal people talent for it. Just worried about how much immoral would experiments for it needs to be.
Objections to using the force on beings if it causes damage make sense but some jedi do healing which is in the same vein as alchemy so for those and enchanting inanimate objects I fail to see the issue unless its something in the process
Good video. Though, you did not mention the coolest creature ever altered with force alchemy. Giant, winged flying rancors that some ancient force users used as mounts.
Interestingly, in the FFG Star Wars RPG, you actually can use force-alchemy with the light side, from things like talismans that protect you from the environment to healing potions, even ones strong enough to revive the recently dead, as in 'within the past few turns' kind of dead, but still. There's also talents that do things like, in the Alchemist specialization, to boost the stats of an ally by imbuing a stimpack with force energies or allow you to use your force points, even light-sided ones, on crafting checks.
In the FFG SW ttRPG the Alchemy tree was awesome, and I highly recommend it! It was great for making Force traditions that don't fit in the same molds of Jedi and Sith.
Every Force ability has both dark and light aspects to it. Using sorcery or imbuing objects with an essence is only dark side of the object itself is forced to go against its nature especially if it is a living being. Let’s say you imbue a sword with light side energy, the sword will be stronger during combat as long as it is being used to defend and protect but if it is then used to oppress, it will just become a normal sword or worse become brittle and fragile. The dark side is only concerned with material things.
Oh yeah. I'd totally be on board with trying alchemy. It would be extremely difficult to resist the temptation to achieve power and glory versus only using alchemy for good. And even though it is considered a gateway to the dark side, I'd be willing to try it.
I personally believe Force Alchemy would be a great asset, but it would also be very risky. Think of it as great power at the cost of a great doom. Therefore, not worth it in the end.
Despite the downfalls, the utilities of such a power seem too good to pass up. Sadly, don't think I would have the drive to become a sith if I were force sensitive. Wonder if there were cases of dark jedi messing around with alchemy?
I feel like Sith alchemy is defined by commanding the Force to change the subject to your will. That's pretty much the definition of the Dark Side, so obviously it's going to be wicked and dangerous. I would want to experiment more with the Jedi method of enchantment through meditation. See if I could create items and places where the Force was strong, with properties that either arose naturally, or that the Force led me to sculpt.
I'd do it. If the ancient Jedi managed to do it on inanimate objects with the intent of good, surely it's possible to create tools of good through it. With a good balance of the dark side and light, one could theoretically keep one's mind intact after and while doing so
As some one who reads real world alchemy, it has greatly interested me to extreme amounts; force alchemy. The lack of information interests me even more, maybe due to my interest in cosmic horror as well. Much like animal alchemy though, I don't think I'd touch force alchemy out of fear of my own hubris. What counts as a beginning step? What should be avoided, while others focused on? What step is truly too far? Plant, and mineral alchemy is all I trust myself with.
What about when force alchemy was used to save Shae koda in into the void? She used her own dna to grow living tissue that was closer to a flesh plant than a sentient being
Soa the Infernal One (A Rakatan Warlord who rules 1000 worlds independent from the Infinite Empire) supposedly perfected force alchemy to create Gharj.
The only moral argument for alchemy is for the discovery of cures to help sick or ill individuals. The process would have to be at the consent of the being having the alchemy conducted on them.
The original sith, the species, not the order, had their own form of force-neutral Alchemy, neither Light nor Dark. They used it to create 'enchanted' objects and create tools that would act like advanced machines, serving purposes for which normal machines hadn't been invented yet. It also split the original Red-Skinned Sith species into four distinct castes. The leaders, the warriors (massassi), the builders (Zuguruk), the priests (Kissai). These were distinct subspecies, but not naturally occurring ones. The species used alchemy to divide itself and optimize each caste for their roles. Massassi were made larger, stronger, and tougher. Zuguruk more dextrous and mechanically clever. Kissai actually had a genetic predisposition towards selflessness and community-building implanted in their genes. Also, Alchemy is far from the most evil thing a Sith could do. Look up the exact details of Mechu-Deru-Vitae.
I disagree with the Jedi. I think that everything has a dark side and a light side. The fact that Jedi can imbue things with the force using alchemy or even meditation proves it. It doesn't have to be a dark side ability.
I think the light side of the force can be used to transform things that are non-living such as armor, robots, and maybe military tanks. Imagine powerful metal Jedi armor that works as if it's alive due to the force and it's will being fused into it. This living Jedi alchemy armor makes whoever wears it almost unstoppable and billions of times more powerful than Yoda.
I think that totally makes sense that the Jed’ai experimented with alchemy. Being some of the first to use the force I can see them pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Like getting on a sport bike and opening up the throttle just to ‘see what she can do’.
I would use it, but as a means to help. I'll explain below. In actual medicine, there are things that aren't harmful to us in moderation, but can be if taken to an extreme. There are some really weird ones, but know that leeches are one of a few examples. In terms of body modifications, you can have the creature's consent, especially with talking through the force. Perhaps the creature is curious, or humanoid, for either science or seeking to eliminate stuff like cancer or developing an immunity to it. Perhaps changing the rapid growth into an advantage. Biology is weird. As you stated with the staff example, bringing up inner life hidden in it, it can be used for good. It can be used justly. In your example of poisons, there is a type of poison to harmful to bacteria but not people: antibiotics. You could also change the properties of bad things, and gear it to eliminating certain diseases that harm society. You could use the staff example but on people, bringing some mental expansion and clarity. And of course, there's also a legal punishment route to administer proper judgement on criminals and eliminate or handicap certain abilities that dangerous people would use to harm others. You can use a weapon to save a person's life, or end a life to save many. You can use nuclear energy as a means to power entire cities, despite its history in warfare. You can use life forms to protect and help other life forms, and with a form of consent, like mutual advantage. You can make poisons that kill certain deadly bacteria, but not humans. So yes, I'd likely use it, for a variety of reasons.
There was a je'daii who had a natural talent for alchemy, who used her own cells to create a completely non-sentient, but still living being. She eventually used it to heal a gaping hole in her chest caused by being shot at point blank range from her brother, whom sought existence without the force, either dark or light, and to travel the unknown galaxy at the time.
on the converse the second to the most divine thing in SW is is on the level that the lightful energies that brings life and creation of the bright stuff.
This seems to be another power that exists on a spectrum. Telekenesis can be good or evil in Star Wars, moving objects or choking the life out of people, it's up to the user. Using alchemy to imbue weapons and armor with power doesnt seem evil to me, but corrupting living beings into mutated monsters definitely is. I don't think alchemy should have been banned in the Jedi Order, i think there just needs to be rules about it. Force Imbued armor, weapons or other useful tools just seems like a benefit to the Jedi as long as there are established limits. Obviously no flying rancors allowed..
Isn’t the general idea of succumbing too the dark side make you extremely self centred in theory you could be a Sith and be part of the Jedi council however 1 disagreement would cause a cascade effect.
if the alchemy making the weapons like he Je dai did then its mostly nuteral but some of the sith alchemy like the techno beasts, rashgul plauge etc? 100% evil
If Alchemy was like this. Then I get why the Jedi revile it so. But still if it was used in total moderation and only on objects. Then it might have some good results.
I agree with the Dark Jedi that Alchemy has its own uses plus the fact that the exact processes are so vague only adds to the lure of the practice. Personally, I'd only use alchemy to forge weapons for classic may lay combat.
There always has to be a mystery in great written work. If you solve everything it becomes boring. So here we have the concept of Force Alchemy. As you said across many the TV series and books were given tantalising little glimpses but nothing is explained. That being the point. I believe that the Sith began as explorers in what else the Force can do, as you said many of the things they twisted or perverted, if you will, were practised in the past by the Jedai. Scroll forward several thousand years of one-upmanship and you get the Sith.
I think the alchemy wouldn't be branded as evil as it is today, if one's intention to use it would be pure. I think alchemy could be used to for eg heal limbs and mental diseases if used properly and with only pure intentions behind it. With that school of thought: you can use a gun to end a mortally wounded animal or kill someone to have them removed. Same tool, different outcome, different motive. With that being said, alchemy might just be the one thing a force sensitive being able to create greatness or disaster.
Sith alchemy is fascinating. And completely horrible. Disgusting! Especially Leviathans. And other creatures. It's horrible. Glad it's banned. I wouldnt do this. Like I said. Glad The Force rebelled against Plageous.. We will be wary. May The Force be with you too :)
If I had access to the force you may as well call me Vectivus. Catch me outer rim, In my palace just experimenting, Without a care for the rest of the universe.

Gotta love the MTG easter egg, Groteque Mutation has saved my ass on more than one occasion 😂 Also, didn't the Nightsisters use Alchemy? I believe that's how Talzin materialized Maul's cybernetic legs and mutated Savage's body

it is a way of creativity, to express one's own feelings into a creature, like giving a fox wings, or making an anvil a lightweight.

It would give more depth to the 2 orders and their desire to be the complete opposites from each other, but also give more depth to the Force itself showing that the Force follows the saying, “Where there is good, so shall evil be present; but while evil lives, good shall never rest.”
I would, as a Jedi, attempt to study these forbidden areas to bring a greater understanding to them and prove that they can be good as well, just as some of the past Jedi have challenged the order and overturned an idea that was long held as wrong.
If I could use the force, I would 100% definitely use it for things like alchemy and other dark side taboos abilities.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Yes but that very sentiment goes against everything a Jedi is taught
@@freddiebinthaplace2be634 Very true, but I didn't say "Jedi", did I.
Also, this augmentation is never permanent. It is only ever granted to those who are willing to give the power up when a task that needed it is complete, those who truly and deeply understand what being a Real Hero is.
@@Thaumh exactly my point a Jedi could never
@Moshin Rafsanjani exactly
it's a shame that the ancient Jeda'ii order abandoned such power, they could have achieved great things, maybe have someone mentally strong and in the clear using such power could've done some good to them
They should have only banned alchemy on life forms. Alchemy on inanimate objects was perfectly fine.
Imagine if Anakin was made as the Kwisatz Haderach
couldn't you technically use alchemy for good, such as creating a sort-of force healing in a bottle, that's better than kolto ? admittedly, we've never seen this as most wounds are combat related and need urgent treatment, but some creative applications may be found. alchemy doesn't strike me as inherently evil
I remember hearing an audio version of the Death Trooper story and it was the scariest thing I’ve listened to in a long time.
It makes perfect sense to me that the cause of it all was a version of the most sinister way to use the force.
The other thing that should have been mentioned here is that Luke Skywalker used alchemy to create his saber crystal.
I agree with the Sith but also it’s another form of controlling the force a more potent way I guess
I’ve watched practically every video. Love the work. Keep it up man
I appreciate it!
Sith-modified rancors is at the top of my nightmare list
Starkiller's second trip to Felucia will be featuring soon
I absolutely would dip my toes into alchemy going so far as to use it upon myself to achieve the immortality that all sith seek in addition to increasing my power.
Atium compounders from Scadrial are immortal.
@@Mark-in8ju No idea what those are, but I am talking more ever lasting life with high grade regeneration rather than full on immortality. Basically, really really hard to kill me, and you can't just wait for me to get old.
@@NobodyDungeons Read the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. Some people can achieve eternal youth.
Some of the force abilities are even more horrifying than before.
2:13 bro that is a Magic the Gathering card
I wish I could be a Sith Alchemist in real life.
I would use it for so many cool experiments.
Sounds like whoever outlawed alchemy in living things was also probably the first Vegan.
Only a few more hours mandalorian trailer so excited 😁🔥🔥
Can't help but notice the use of several Magic the Gathering pieces in this video :)
he uses it in others aswell
What about when force alchemy was used to save Shae koda in into the void? She used her own dna to grow living tissue that was closer to a flesh plant than a sentient being
Soa the Infernal One (A Rakatan Warlord who rules 1000 worlds independent from the Infinite Empire) supposedly perfected force alchemy to create Gharj.
The only moral argument for alchemy is for the discovery of cures to help sick or ill individuals. The process would have to be at the consent of the being having the alchemy conducted on them.
I’d say that I’d definitely desire Sith Alchemy and Sith Sorcery if I was within that universe…
Make me an unstoppable army or mutated Gizka.
Ohhh you got that big brain
I love the fact that you added death troopers
I avoid the issue by installing "Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul" for Skyrim.
Noticed the use of some Magic cards it would be really awesome if WOTC did a secret lair of Star Wars
I think that totally makes sense that the Jed’ai experimented with alchemy. Being some of the first to use the force I can see them pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Like getting on a sport bike and opening up the throttle just to ‘see what she can do’.
They should write lightside alchemy into the lore...Alchemy is used for good in the real world too.
I love finding out more about this universe ❤️
In Star wars Dawn of the Jedi into the void has at least 2 instances of alchemy being performed and I believe both are from a jedi.
Bruh Sith Alchemy would be fucking awesome
Alchemy was used to save lives too
on the converse the second to the most divine thing in SW is is on the level that the lightful energies that brings life and creation of the bright stuff.
This is one of your best videos dude
The blackwing story needs to be a horror survival game!
Wow this really Stars my Wars.
With that being said, alchemy might just be the one thing a force sensitive being able to create greatness or disaster.
always thought sith alchemy and the night sister magic were the same
funny thing is the jedi invented Alchemy.
When you said alchemy can backfire it reminded me of Skyrim's alchemy, fortify restoration glitch, powerful but could crash the game at any moment.
Most Grey use Alchemy and Chemistry, but there are Grey that use Alchemy and Sorority. (some call them Dark Sith/Jedi) G.M. (PEO ll, Esq)
Best video
so alchemy is adding something unnatural to something, why not simply improve what is already inherent in the subject.
True power comes only within one’s self
I probably not touch it. I might just mutate myself.
I would be making creatures all the time. Sounds fun.
If Anakin was created by ... Magic... It almost makes him sound like the SW Harry Potter now... Only WAY cooler an with the coolest magic wand of all...the way was narrated. Or was I the only one getting them kinda vibes here at times
When I hear the word "alchemy" I always think about Fullmetal Alchemist
Banes apprentice was an alchemist. Specifically sorcery.
Think it's like the Rakata?
What about the novel “into the void” and je’di lanoree Brock? She dabbled in alchemy. Was her creation good or evil?
Between Force Alchemy and the Unifying Force, I'd get kicked out of the Jedi order so fast.
Gotta love the MTG easter egg, Groteque Mutation has saved my ass on more than one occasion 😂
Also, didn't the Nightsisters use Alchemy? I believe that's how Talzin materialized Maul's cybernetic legs and mutated Savage's body
Mother Talzin most likely used force alchemy on Savage Opress too
