- Here's a pristine soundboard recording of Danish double bass virtuoso Niels Henning Ørsted Pedersen( often referred to simply with the abbreviation "NHØP") taking an amazing solo over the tune "That's Earl Brother" during a concert with the Ira Sullivan group that took place on August the 7th in 1977 at The Laren Jazz festival in Holland. I've included Ira's stating of part the theme before the bass solo and the outro statement of the theme by the entire band for context.

Yes, NHØP was a beast for sure. My parents saw him live in Lillehammer during the winter olympics of 1994. Too bad he died at such a young age in 2005.
