Colin Farrell shows his fangs in the new horror film "Fright Night." The original 1985 comedy/horror film gets an update with Anton Yelchin playing a high school senior who discovers that the charismatic stranger (Farrell) who's moved in next door is actually a vampire preying on the neighborhood.
Bonnie Laufer from www.tribute.ca sits down with Colin (who's having a banner year between "Fright Night," "Horrible Bosses" and a slate of upcoming projects that includes Len Wiseman's remake of "Total Recall") to talk about finding his inner vampire, how his character differs from the original and filling Arnold Schwarzennegger's shoes in "Total Recall."

this guy is a very underrated actor. He is really good!
after seeing him in batman compared to fright night i was surprised cause i was like aint no way thats the same guy, and his accent control is always on point idc, like there's actors who have their native accent slip out but he gets it locked down. if i didn't know what accent he naturally had irl i wouldn't even know which accent was his original and that's one thing i really admire about actors is their ability to control their accent all the way through when filming a movie w a different accent
this movie is what a proper vampire movie is, I suggest watching it if you haven't already.

im basically just talking a lot at this point but this movie is honestly so so soooo underrated!!
it frustrates me that i can't really talk to anyone about this movie since not as much people have watched it as i thought, not even the one from the 80s😭 but me and my twin watched it and we loved it. honestly one of my favorite halloween movies now.
usually i dont like the remakes of old movies but i literally watched hell raiser right before fright night and that one was kinda good too! lowkey scared me and i don't usually get scared for horror movies unless the jumpscare gets me off guard but fright night was top teir. besides the cgi when jerry died at the end it was good.
i even loved ed as a vampire. his confidence is very idk, attractive or interesting? i grew up watching movies with him in it so it's nice seeing a familiar face when i watch movies but im always into discovering new actors. even in kick ass he was eating that role up chile😩... that movie was a whole vibe fr...i just wish they gave chris more roles with more range in the film industry other than nerdy characters or villains cause he has so much potential. and he's still young he's only like 30 rn!! like come awn bruhh.
david tennant!? i been knew this mf was an icon he just radiates that energy and i be seeing him in shows like good omens(he really devoured that role) like this mf put his whole coochie into that role cause he really was selling it and i was buying fr😩 from then on i was not gonna skip anything he is involved in unless it looks real dumb but i haven't gotten there yet so imma keep watching his stuff🤷🏾♀️
talking about selling and buying, colin really put his whole colussy into almost everything he does and that's fucking admirable honestly. im buying what he's selling!!! cause he knows what he's doing and i'm pretty sure he was locked in for this role cause he ATE this role up. idc what anyone says, everyone did good in this movie.
and it's amazing to see even the mom, toni go on to be in such a good film like hereditary she can fucking ACT yo😭 she blew my mind with that, and that was before i saw fright nights too😭 that movie actually made me feel afraid and concerned and honestly a movie is good if they succeed to make the audience feel a n intended or interesting way: scared, intrigued, nervous, shocked, strong emotions like that.

ESPECIALLY THE MOVIES W JESSE E.??? someone wants to watch it w me(usually my twin bro) SIGN ME TF UP. i like her character in this movie, she's not just charley's hot gf that is just there to be hot, but she is real, she has personality, she even has her iconic vampire moment i wish lasted a bit longer cause her and ed would've stole jerry's spotlight at that point if they lasted as vampires for long enough.
and the guy who played charley, im so sad that anton passed away. when i watched fright night, i thought "why isn't this guy a popular actor rn?? where is he? something is wrong like he is really selling this rn" then i find out, im just so angry thinking of how powerful he probably could've been in the film industry rn if he was still here, he would've been iconic imo....it just upsets me, and when i find out things like that it's hard for me to watch movies with them in it cause i end up trying to imagine what movies they would be in if they were here...:(
im making myself sad rn lol so i'm just gonna end this by saying this movie was a 10/10 from me besides the cgi cause honestly ik that shit is hard asf they did their best tho so i won't count that💀
+with chris, even tho i'm pretty sure he would get tired of doing similar roles all the time, he still but his whole coochie into every role and i admire that, they should give him more chances from now before it's too late😩

one thing i really also liked about this movie, i also haven't seen the OG one but i'm gonna maybe tomorrow, cause i finally got to watch this one properly for the first time since the last time i tried to watch it was on cable and i only saw a little bit of it, but i didnt forget that lil part of it i saw cause it was interesting. anywho, i really liked the way his character moved. that one scene with the beers you could see while talking to charley, jerry looks around constantly like a crazy person like was tryna make sure no one's there n people say it was to tease charley cause jerry knew that charley knew what was going on and he wanted to have fun with it cause jerry was bored asf understandably! i want to watch it again so i can find out things i didn't notice before. that's what i love about watching good movies is that when you watch it again you start to realize things in the movie that are interesting and maybe even make the movie better in a subtle way, just all the little elements complimenting each other yk? but i dont like watching the same movie again more than once within a short period of time cause there's so many other good movies to watch too! maybe later on like a month from now or next year im gonna watch this movie again and find reasons to love it more!
