- The most incredible transformation I've ever seen. All she needed was a chance. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't witness it with my own eyes.
Thank you for trusting us with her, Tacoma Humane!

Finding herself in a home full of happy & friendly dogs, who trust the big human, must have made a huge difference to her. She saw how they were around Lee & decided he was safe
We have a rescue, Aussie/BC mix, who came out of a hoarding situation @ 5 years old. She was fearful & shut-down like this also, according to her foster. The foster had 3 dogs + also a doggy daycare. Yes, the other dogs helped this hoarder girl become comfortable, learn to be a real dog, and start to trust the foster. The other dogs truly do help the fearful dogs to learn & trust more. (Our little rescue is pretty much the boss of the home now, and enjoys her status, entirely!)
I was thinking the same thing. Seeing the other dogs trust him has got to make it easier to build a level of trust.
Lee you continue to amazing things that would be impossible for others with these beautiful animals!!!
I will never ever ever understand how anyone could hurt an animal. Check out animals in your local area to make sure they're ok.
Thank you Lee. 💙💙💙
Omg. Unbelievable. !In such a short time. There has to be something very magical and mysterious going on at the Asher House. If only there were a few hundred Lee,s for all the traumatised humans out there. Just imagine ! 😇🐶♥️
I didn't expect less. She feels your positive energy, and from the other dogs. They told her you're the best dad she will ever have ❤
You can tell the other dogs were like “welcome to the best place ever . Lee is our Daddy and he loves us more than anything “ … they were reassuring her
Agree 100%!! I want to be a dog and live there! :)
I agree she does feel Lee Asher 's positive energy and love for her and safety is.
Surrounded by Vibes of Love, Happy Dogs, and ideal doggy heaven on Earth, healing happens!💚🕊️
❤❤❤
Seriously, Lee Asher needs to absolutely receive a Nobel Peace Prize award for his outstanding contributions to animal awareness and animal community care! 👏
I agree, to dedicate your entire life to saving these beautiful animals is nothing short of heroic and angelic. Lee, you are doing God's work.
@@terryperry4160 Right, because God didn't.
Maybe something a little more serious than the Nobel Peace prize. After all, it was given to Obama, and he ordered more than 500 drones strikes that killed almost 4000 people including almost 500 innocent civilians. Sooo, yeah, the Nobel Peace Prize is a joke
Hi lee 💋 💋 💋 ❤❤❤tnk u so very much for all ur do for these poor animals 😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤💔💔💔🙏🙏🙏🙏God bless u once again ❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💔💔
Да нет же! Просто Бог поставил человека над всем Своим творением, но большинство из нас не оправдали доверия Бога к себе...
You can almost see how the other dogs are telling her it’s ok, we’ve all been through some stuff… You’re safe here. It’s amazing every time I see it. Great job Lee!
You're so right. That the pack is relaxed, well-behaved, and happy has enabled Lady to be her true self.
Awww very true ❤️
Animals are duch Great....non verbal...communicators.....WHEN......humans are truely ready to ...LISTEN
A dog that young should never have been so afraid, poor baby, thank you Lee for all you do ❤
“A dog that young should never have been so afraid, I agree poor baby.” 7:35
The look in her eyes at the beginning of the video was so heartbreaking, so good that she is doing better
I had to come back to this video now, months later, because I wanted to remind myself of Lady's first days at the sanctuary. Last week, Lee said that due to the mysterious pneumonia strain contracted by some dogs in Oregon, Lady had 20% of her lung removed. Sending special prayers for this beautiful Lady ♡
I just did the same thing. Sitting here feeling quite helpless so I thought I'd just check back to see if she was one of the dogs that came from Texas.
Same here.
I’m just now seeing this video of lady too & was so happy she was doing so well but then I realized she was the one that had part of her lung removed 😢 That’s just not fair. Praying she’s still able to get back to playing & enjoying life❤
How is Lady doing now?
Praying
This is a highly intelligent breed that is able to problem solve on its own. So, Lady was able to "talk" to all the other dogs, who couldn't "say" enough nice things about you, Lee, which made her conclude that you are worth knowing as a trustworthy human. Its as simple as that! 'Loving thoughts to you all at Asher House!
This is true. She may not trust humans but she did trust the word of the dogs. And now she will trust Lee. I'm always amazed at how quickly the pack can turn a dog around.
@@francescaa8331 it's all about the energy - lee's and the pack - and the handlers.
@@jayerscios you are right.
That's what I meant by the dogs tell her that Lee is okay - and also Lee's own behavior is part of it.
The dogs have relaxed energy and happy body language... Lady gets right away that the dogs are comfortable and it's a safe space. So she relaxes. Lee reinforces that with his calm loving behavior.

What is your problem Julia?
After watching your videos I'm convinced that the pack's energy plays a big role in reinforcing a feeling of safety with new rescues. They turn around so quickly. The Asher House team does a great job.
I’m seeing that, too! Kudos to to the whole team along with their amazing leader at the helm.
She made progress so quickly because she had no fear of other dogs, it was people she was afraid of. To be surrounded by other happy dogs made her feel safe.
The packs trust for Lee is palpably accelerating the healing these traumatized dogs are experiencing in the Asher house. It’s special ❤
❤
It's absolutely amazing to witness!
Years ago, after surviving a trauma, I was basically a “shut down lady who had given up on life”. After a year of wallowing in grief I started working with refugees overseas, and when I returned to the states, I started fostering as I had a lifetime of experience of dogs.
Volunteering in foster showed me that animals that have been neglected or abused can come back, and therefore I can. It wasn’t that I/we healed the dogs… It was that the dogs healed me!❤ 🐾
That is both sad and beautiful at the same time. But I will focus on beautiful 😊
So glad to hear you chose a fighter path and that you help those in need, and by doing that, you help yourself ❤️❤️❤️
I agree I am so happy for you! God heals people when we trust in him I am a perfect example maybe God used these dogs to heal you he works in mysterious ways and his love is unconditional...A new journey was started many blessings...
I was similar to you after surviving my worst trauma. I walled myself inside and was basically unresponsive for 2 years. Slowly started crawling out of the depths and I am so shocked by how far I’ve came now 5 years later after I started to heal!
❤ xxx
Awesome story. 👌
May the House of Asher stand forever.
So many broken souls needing saved. Thank you for being there to save Lady and helping to show her that there is good people and a life without fear. You rock!
You really are the rock star of the rescue world and I am just your biggest fan and your groupie.
Clearly Ive been taking a stroll down memory lane with the Cure, bowie and green day. They all have one thing that drove me to them and their music. They al were offering hope and the belief that things could be better if we were just kinder and gentler
I had this same experience with my dog Bella. I adopted her at 5-months old and she was so afraid of everyone except for ONE lady at the rescue. She had been surrendered twice in her short life, both times because "she has no manners or self-control and she's destructive." I adopted her, held her paw and sang to her the whole drive home and now we're inseparable. I can relate to Lady so much, and I KNOW she's exactly where she needs to be. You're an angel, Lee. Thank you for EVERYTHING you do for these little angels ❤️❤️❤️
❤
I love no shirt rescues! Definitely my favorite kind of rescue! I was so happy to see Lady running around with the other pups! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you do for these amazing animals!! 😘😍🤩
Hey Sarah back up ....I saw him first..lol. Just teasing you. I know we both love how much he loves his babies. Any man that gives as much as he does has to be a great guy. Ro
We both share genuine admiration not only for his Dog rescue and rehabilitation, but for his wonderful physique - he is such a hunk of burning love.
Lee, you are the best doggo daddy ever heard of, thank you for saving the babies and god bless 🙏 Many prayers 🙏
Now Lady knows she can be a dog...how horrible it must have been for her to be afraid of life...I still believe the dogs talk to the newcomers and tell them that they're safe and they're now living on earth side of Rainbow Bridge...thank you once again Lee for being that stand up man who fights for and loves those furbabies in need...much love from 🇨🇦
Agree totally Holly.
❤❤❤
This is not Rainbow bridge, this is more than that, it is Heaven Bridge with a Rainbow life forever and a day! I loved your comment...💞🇬🇧🇭🇺
Dear Holly, I can see you live in Canada....You must have heard about Takaya, the lonely wolf...my English husband's first cousin's wife made a documentary about this lonely wolf living across from their house on an island in British Columbia. She also wrote a book about Takaya, after following his life for many years. Her name is Cheryl Alexander...you can Google it, just by typing in Takaya.... it was a very lovely emotional documentary shown on one of our UK TV channels a few years back.
We have been living in Hungary in the past 10 years because our grandchildren were born here. We love animals, always did...I thought as a Canadian, you may want to know. All the best. 🇬🇧🇭🇺
Cruelty is rampant there’s most definitely no shortage of it in this life so I’m glad she was able to make it into Asher house ❤
Breaks my heart to think of an abused animal. Or child. So many don't get out alive. We need an Asher house in every state and city!! :)💚
Please can you look into the yulin dog and cat meat festival and the dog meat farms then, Humane Society International they are trying to end the evil cruelty thank you 🙏 😢
@@marley7659 you are truly an idiot. Your comment is an abomination.
I have seen so many videos. It seems to me like when there are packs of dogs at a sanctuary, a dog like Lady is happy and relaxed right away. We see it when there are 2 other dogs but every time when there is a pack. I wonder if the dog thinks well this is a good guy because he likes dogs and these dogs are happy so I can be happy too. My other thought is that it goes deeper than that. So I wonder if dogs have some language amongst themselves where they tell this dog she will be ok and this is a good guy?
Lady stole my ♥ Her transformation is AMAZING!!
This one, this one right here should be used across the country at all shelters and sanctuary's as a learning tool. The transformation that took place is ONLY because of the freedom you gave her to move at her own pace. The fact that you slowly allowed her to meet the pack and get used to the sounds, the smells and the way they interact with you. This is absolutely amazing Lee, you and the pack are amazing. To God be the glory.
I couldn't agree more Linda so well put, breaks my heart for all the overlooked dogs at shelters that don't interact how humans want them to do they get over looked..or worse put to sleep as "un saveable " that decision is with God and God only. Our dog was traumatised when we rescued her. It took time and kindness..nothing more. No big quick fix just trust. She is now the happiest goofiest girl who we adore ❤
TOTALLY AGREE 🥰🐶❣️
Lady with those first frightened looks got to me. 😢 I’m SO happy to see precious Lady getting acclimated to the pack and, of course, to you Lee! 😊 You are truly Mr. Wonderful in all you do, Lee! 💙🩵💙
@@makeyourlifebeautiful1652 I agree too. I fostered an 18 month old boxer cross and he was shut down when he arrived. He was so overwhelmed he hid for two days. I just talked to him gently and left food for him, and left the back door open so he could go potty when he thought I wasn't about. A few days later he came out and played with my resident dog and she was so gentle with him. He came and put his head on my lap and accepted head scratches, then I was able to take him out on a lead to the field behind my house. I think we did ten walkies that day, he loved it. He's now been here 6 years and I adopted him, it was obvious he loved me and I couldn't bear the thought of tearing him away from the place he was used to. He's now so chilled and friendly. He loves people and just wants to be everyone's friend. He's hyper focussed on me, and always has to know where I am. Even if there are other people in the house giving him fuss as soon as I get up he has to follow me. He's awesome.
@Ade Lucas what a beautiful story. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. Your dogs are so lucky to have such an amazing Daddy and we have so lucky to have them in our lives
There is no better healing power than love and a harmonious pack! Lovely to see her being a dog again!
You are an amazing man for all the dedicating work you do I always watch you I'm from Australia and I know it's heartache when your dog died I will b the same
No one is going to hurt you again. That is Lee’s famous words. May God shower you with blessings for all the love and care you have provided these animals throughout the years.
What she witnessed was a pack of happy dogs; dogs who had no fear, and that fact caused her to not fear. At a shelter fear is in the air. She witnessed ogs enjoying their life to the fullest, and then she witnessed who their pack leader was and knew she too could trust him 100%. She looked so happy romping around the dogs. What a glorious thing to witness. I would have loved to be in the room with the shelter workers when they watched the video.
That's an insightful comment - "at a shelter, fear is in the air'. It explains a lot about why dogs are often reactive when they first come out after all the panic, anxiety, and lonely barking and seeing some dogs get taken out while others remain. I am so happy i got a rescue dog and gave him time to find calmness outside and around other dogs altho he has always been calm in the home and slept on my bed since the first night.😍🥰
I bet there were tears in their eyes.
My first rescue dog was very much like that, she was terrified of everything, everyone and also very young, just like Lady. I was drawn to her, I couldn't explain it, but I felt like she was meant to be my dog. A couple weeks in, she had not changed much and I began to wonder if maybe I had been wrong and my home wasn't the right place for her. I will never forget the day I was trying to play fetch with her, she was scared and coward away. I stopped and went to work on my garden, really down because I didn't know how to help her. A few minutes later, I looked down and she had brought the ball back to me and left it next to me. You wanna play girl?! She seemed excited for the first time, so I tossed the ball across the yard, she chased it and brought it back to me. From that moment on she was a totally different dog, my protector and my constant companion for many long years, and the best dog I ever had :)
That's so wonderful! Thank you for sharing :)
🥲that got me with a happy tear!
What an amazing story. I wonder if she felt your disappointment in the transition, and knew she wanted you to be her mom, so she had to show you. Love this sweet story
We need more people like you. I love watching all your rescue stories ❤
it’s your positive energy that overcomes fear and Lady is a beautiful example of this
Lady is a true beauty. Her eyes told so many horrific tales when you first met her but after a few days with you and the pack you could see such a difference. She came alive !!!!
It is Jan 2024, I remember Lady’s rescue. Poor baby. Yes, cried on her rescue day and today, for some reason she showed up today and I love her. I often ask where’s Lady? I do know that she was out for adoption. I thank you Lee and your staff for the love Lady and all animals receive. Thank you. I hope her lungs have healed❤❤❤❤gloriahightower.
It makes my blood boil to think that anyone would hurt a helpless, defenceless and innocent animal. Look at that face! How could anyone not want to love and take care of her? Thank you, Lee Asher. You are God’s gift to these precious doggies!
So you are vegan? If you are not vegan, you support animal cruelty.

WHO would hurt this precious girl?!?!?!?! Whoever did that to her deserves the worse, most horrible punishment possible!!!! How can ANYONE look into those eyes and want to hurt her? Some people are just monsters! THANK GOD for Lee and his pack that they can help her feel happy and safe 🥰
I hear you! This the one thing that really bothers me about humans..that there are people that are capable of cruelty to animals..We must stamp this out with laws, education and speaking up!
At 4:24 I love how the bigger dog interacted with her. Seemed like they were trying not to overwhelm her by initiating play from a laid down position. So sweet. Let her "win" the wrestling. What sweethearts!
that is actually the three legged dog.
Poor sweet baby! Sent to Asher House by God!
Amen!! ❤️🙏
💯 Agree!
Lady is a great name for her! Bless her heart, things might have looked hopeless, but she had a divine appointment with Asher House!!❤

Holy crap! That traumatized look in her eyes reminded me of my dog that I rescued off the streets. She was beaten terribly. She gave me that same terrified look many times. It was so uncannily similar. When you said that you named her Lady, my jaw dropped.
My baby is named Lady. I rescued her 8 years ago this summer.
You are a good person...
It's such a good thing you did. We have to put in the effort but we get it back in love 100 fold.
That brought tears to my eyes. I’ve got my dog on my lap. And to think people beat these angels. Just monsters. 🥲🥲🥲🥲

This is almost exactly how one of my dogs was when I first adopted her and she also made an amazing turnaround. Dogs are so resilient. It's amazing how they can learn to trust after some of the things they have been through. So beautiful to see what you do with all of these dogs, Lee!
I love how every time a new dog is introduced to the pack they really around them as if to say welcome, you're safe and loved here. God bless you, Lee.
The dogs told her everything she needed to know!! So cool to see the 3-legged pupper as one of the first to play with her🐾❤️ Love these vignettes🙏🏽
That's it, the other dogs told her she was all good!
Such a beautiful man. His love for dogs is just so heartwarming❣
You gave Lady something she never had before. A safe place, Love and freedom. She's home. ❤
Lee must radiate gentleness and love for Lady to warm up to him and the pack. Makes me love Lee a bit more.
I thank the lord for people like you that have such compassion for those who are weaker
I Absolutely LOVE why you named her Lady! Yes, sometimes we need to be taken out to dinner and shown that this person will not hurt us before we can show others who us really are. Yes - dogs/animals are people too. They show us humans our own true feelings and it is necessary to acknowledge them before any of us, and "creature" can start to heal. We can learn so much from you, your team, and all your blessed prior victims.

Every video brings tears to my eyes, partly painful due to the maltreatment of these most loyal friends, and part joy for their lives couldn't have turned out in a better way. All thanks to Lee Asher and those in support and cooperation with him.

She actually looks ASTOUNDED to me that she gets to have all these siblings, this amazing man caring for and loving her and a paradise to runnnnnn...which is VITALLL for this breed. I love how playful Roo is with her! Great job, as always, Lee! xo
She really does! She connects, then runs around like, "I don't understand! This can't be real!" Then connects again.💗
❤
It just goes to show Lee what a loving, safe environment with other animals can do. She saw how well your other babies were cared for, and decided she had nothing to lose from trying to get some love and attention herself.
And she didn't.
I always say to the new doggies I see you get, "you have the best daddy, the best family now. It's gonna be ok."
I'm unforesure if she will ever trust another home or be able to leave yours but one thing is for sure:
She needed you and the pack.
GOD bless!!
It just breaks your heart, but hope knowing she's in the right place with the right person.
I saw a very similar situation on another channel called The Farm. This Australian Evans family have been taking in dogs who had many different problems from health to behavior issues but the extreme case of Faith was so sad. She is a boxer and was used as a breeder and only new a kennel to live in and abuse. She and her mother (Hope) came to their farm so frightened that they crawled on the ground. It was the pack of happy and loved dogs that began the process to heal and it has worked. Unfortunately Hope didn't live long due to an aggressive cancer. Faith has attached herself to Sam Evans (the mom and wife). They have a special bond. This show "The Farm" has the same energy and love just like the Asher House. I love dogs so much and wish I could do what these good people are doing on a large scale. I have rescued and loved 12 dogs of my own and I am hoping there will be a few more before I am done. I hear dogs go to heaven and if I am lucky I will be able to see my babies again.
HAHAHAH the clap on trunk oh Lee you are too funny and such a sweet soul! Thank goodness Lady found the Asher house 💕
I hollered at that
Lady is the perfect name for her, I just knew when she looked into your eyes I just knew she would be able to know with the love of the other dogs right away that she could trust and truly she would be able to be loved by you.❤❤
The Rescue is the perfect place for animals with PTSD, from all the other animals telling newbies how great it is to Lee giving as much space and time as is necessary to heal. Just a perfect retreat.
To see her play and run with the other dogs and to see her happy smile is priceless. Just kind of a little miracle.
Absolutely beautiful! That poor girl needed love and patience, and you gave just that. Bravo! So awesome.
Just one more example of the healing of Lee and the Asher House. Bless you all, you are heroes 💜
Just amazing how well adjusted dogs can help a dog like Lady. She’s living the dream 🌈
I believe that Lady responded to your energy, even when still so skittish, because she’s not only super smart, but she can read nothing but love in you. When she meets the dogs and understands how THEY trust you, it helps her release that fear so much more quickly. She’s going to have such an amazing life and deserves every bit of it! ❤️❤️❤️
So happy that Lee realized his dream of an Animal Sanctuary & created such a beautiful Pack. Thank God Lee was there to love & rescue Lady & all the other animals. Honestly, I think the way you went about it is something that a lot of people need to take a note of. My cat was traumatized and very skittish and I bonded with her just like that, letting her be in charge of her own space, make her own choices, etc. No forcing her into anything. Animals really appreciate that sort of kindness and they will turn it right back around on you at the first opportunity they have because they know you're safe. Honestly how that Dog reacted to you tells me so much about you as a person. A lot of people get dogs and then just constantly invade their space without any consideration of what the animal wants. That sort of trust has to be earned. Good job earning it and I'm so happy shes turning around!
Lady is the perfect name for her! You are so I tune with these dogs by letting them be themselves and come to you when they are ready! 😮
This is why Lee ends up with so many "purebred" dogs. Look at her. Terrified! He goes for the scared ones. He likes to go to the most scared dogs in a shelter or the ones that have been there a long time.
Aweee, Miss Lady is absolutely beautiful! I’m sure that all of us that watch you Lee knew Miss Lady would come bouncing out of that traumatic shell once she knew she was safe. She’s safe, she’s loved, and best of all, she is home! God bless you Lee and all of you at the Asher House for saving another 4 legged soul who deserves love! 💜🙏🏻✝️💜

That poor sweet baby! So glad she found you! LOL I love that you thought the trunk was a clapper close! You are the sweetest human and Lady is the sweetest! When she was trying to be so brave and coming out before running back in, you could feel the fear! It was so great to see her confidence build and so quick! So awesome to see her playing with the other dogs!
Amazing how quick it took for her to feel safe. Thank you for your dedication to help all these pups and other animals. ❤
Lee, what an absolutely awesome human being. May you receive and continue to receive a bounty of love and joy in your life. Anyone who gives to animals, particularly in the manner you do, is a remarkable human being. The eotld could use many more like you. Bless you, sir 😍
As the proud papa of an Australian Shephard, I can tell you that Lady will devote her entire life to you. Just yesterday, I took my Molly on a long walk in the mountains. She jumped a creek and turned, made direct eye contact and waited. I had some kidney surgery last week and was struggling. She waited, nervous for me, until I made it across. The second my feet touched the opposite bank, she changed to very happy, made eye contact like "Let's Go Dad!"! They are highly intelligent, sensitive, athletic snuggle bugs.
Blessings on your recovery!

The fear in her eyes broke my heart. Then I just loved seeing her little tail wagging. You really know how to reach your dogs. This was a special little girl and a real success story for Lady.❤
You are such a saint for what you do for these dogs/animals!! God bless you always 🙏🏻🐶👍❤️
Lee is a genius at rescue. He just feels exactly the path forward with each dog should be.
I have tears in my eyes. She’s getting kisses from the other dogs. Her little tail wagging… Lee’s videos always make my heart happy.
