Thats a time warp for me, my first car was a red mini S 1976, I bought it in 1991 and rebuilt it with my father, I lived in Mount Riverview. 1994ish I remember when we fitted a sports exhaust to the 998 I could hold second gear up the long step straight section of Old Bathurst Rd instead of needing to shift to 1st gear. I reasonable street motor mod back in those days was expensive to do, for a young bloke anyhow!
