obviously, the intent of GoPro is to force you to purchase subscription in order to use the product. That never seems to be known until you try to transfer your files. I never like being forced to purchase an on going subscription in order to use a product that i purchased. I would not have purchased the product if i knew that fact.... I even asked all questions like this from best buy and this information is not disclosed....
I totally get your frustration about the lack of clarity on the subscription, it's frustrating not knowing until you start using it. The worst part is, every time you want to download the footage, you have to take the device out of the mod (media mod for me majority of the time), remove the battery, remove the SD card, download it to your computer, then reinstall every time you want to upload your content. It's not 'that big of a deal', just annoying having to repeat the process and put unnecessary strain on components daily compared to previous models that were simply plug and play. Thanks for your feedback to mate, glad I'm not the only one that feels this way!
Sorry to hear that - Best wishes. Good to see that you are looking after yourself. The best choice.

@@stevegnome correct. It wasn’t until I did another one I realized there was more brackets for it. I’ve got another episode lined up in the future to do this job as Grace has some unexpected rust in the boot floor 😒
Nice overview cheers buddy
i'll be doing all 4 tires this weekend. i mostly have no idea what i'm doing so i'm going to be referring to your expertise on this. :D
it was halfway a failure. gonna have to take it to the shop to do the back onesm unfortunately. could not get the rotar screws free whatsoever, and ended up completely grinding out the philips slot on them trying, and then could not get the caliper piston pushed back whatsoever with the tool, it was locked hard in place. so couldnt even get the new pads on. front was simple. back was stupid. ended up putting the old worn pads back on it, and then when i went to re-assemble the caliper, one of the screws wouldnt line up with the bracket. nothing i tried would get these to line up. it was off by about probably 4 mm.
This is the best video on this subject on UA-cam. No waffle , clear concise instructions. I’m tackling this at the weekend . Thanks from snowy Northern Ireland 😎
@@ryanmcneill7492 I appreciate your feedback mate! If u get stuck, send me a dm on Instagram. It seems complicated but once you wrap your head ahead it, it’s fairly straight forward. Cheers, Tomo

Just in case you are not aware, don't ever tow with a Hilux in overdrive
@@kingkire1556 due to its abnormally low towing capacity and lack of power? Mine being the first generation of N70, it only has 3 gear plus overdrive, whereas the later models had 4 gears plus overdrive
@@Tomostuneups I knew you had it in overdrive as soon as you mentioned "Overheating". Overdrive gears are not designed for towing, stated in every owners manual. Quickest way to overheat and cook a transmission in pretty much all vehicles. Plenty information online.
@ legit did NOT know that, thanks so much for the information mate. Given my vehicle doesn’t have an owners manual, I figured it would be fine having set to “D” (drive), clearly not by the sounds of things. I’ll be doing some towing later this week, funny enough another mini so I’ll see how it goes and report back (even though it’s a fairly short trip). Thanks again for the info mate 👌🏼

@Tomostuneups absolutely!! So grateful you upload videos like this! You can read all the books In the world but to see someone practically do it, is worth it's weight in gold!
Are you running 10.3:1 compression
@@dcattewell unsure tbh, I didn’t do the calculations when I had it apart 😒

@Tomostuneups thank you man. I did it and it's gone. I inherited my mums holden... I can't get the radio to go yet after it was sitting for months with no battery. Any ideas? I also find the steering a bit heavy compared to my Ford. 😂
@ no sweat mate. Does the radio turn on at all and does it have anything displayed on the screen? I’d try factory reset, disconnect the battery for half hour then reconnect, see if it works. If not, pull the radio out and check for power supply. Best chance is just to upgrade the complete radio as that model is fairly common for upgrading and easily obtained. Haha I don’t drive fords so I wouldn’t know 😂😂😂
@@Tomostuneups nothing comes up at all. I've tried putting in the codes and I've driven an xr6 for the last 20 years 🤣

Just got my first Mini this week so this is a huge help. Mine bounces like crazy. 1997 JDM car.
Can a malpassi fuel pressure become faulty? Just changed my fuel pump and the pressure gauge stays 0 psi no matter which way i turn the screw. Ignition on, the fuel fills the bowl. Even when the engine is started, pressure still reads 0 psi.
@@alvindeleon4410 100% it can. Amy gauge, regardless of what it is can have an internal fault deeming it to be useless. Best to swap out the gauge with a known working gauge to confirm that’s the fault. Reach out on Instagram if u need further assistance mate

Do you still need to do adjustments to mixture after installing the rockers?
@@alvindeleon4410 it certainly wouldn’t be a bad idea. Unsure if it would affect it, but definitely notice the extra torque through the engine
Very informative video. Probably nothing I'd ever get around to doing but you never know. Good job!
Definitely a job you should attempt at least once whilst owning a classic mini, then get it tuned for the best performance. What a difference it makes 👌🏼 Thanks for the feedback mate, glad you enjoyed the video mate
I have a turn signal lamp out error on 2010 compass and I have replaced the lamp and it works but the error still goes on when I use it... Any idea how to get rid of that one?
@@steveharvey2845 hey mate, do all the globes work in the car? What type of globe did you replace it with, a standard halogen globe or LED?
@@Tomostuneups all the lights work It's specifically says left turn signal lamp out but since I replaced it I can visually see it's on. Was just wondering if there's a way to remove all errors
@ I’m unsure if you can scan the vehicle and clear the codes. Most systems like that run on resistance and it sends a signal to each light upon startup. If the value returns any different from what it should be, it’ll then flag the light on the dash notifying its blown. Have you got a scan tool at all?
@@Tomostuneups no I don't but it doesn't bother me all that much I know the flasher is on so that's all that matters really. Next time I go for an oil change I'll have them reset it thanks anyway
@ no probs mate. Let me know how you go and if it stored a code. Most vehicles don’t, however it might be different for your model. Best of luck
Good video, but please get some soft jaws for the vice and correct spanner’s, and ditch the mutligrips. Old school mechanic.
@@riskybiz123 I’ll have a look for the soft jaws for the vice, that’s a good idea. They’re the small L shape plastic inserts that sit inside the vice yeah? From memory Minisport sell the correct tools for the job, but you’re right, scrap the multi grips for the right tools 👌🏼
@@Tomostuneups You can just use some aluminium angle plate, they are on my vise all the time. I’m enjoying watching all your videos.

Is that fan the wrong way around? Rough side to rad, smooth side to engine. Loving the build series
@@dominiccooper810 really really dumb question, is there a difference? I’ve seen this question pop up over the years on forums etc but was under the impression it didn’t matter…am I wrong?
Hey Tomo, the fans have engine stamped on the smooth side ( some of them). Also I’ve read that if fitted the wrong way around the can lose 15 -20% of cooling air flow. It’ll still work but not efficiently as it should. It’s to do with the curvature of the blades. Hope that helps.
@ thanks for clearing that up mate. I’ll be sure to inspect the fan when I take it off and make note of it in the next video for sure. I run the two single blades on Grace but I don’t recall seeing any writing on it but probably worthwhile inspecting for sure. Thanks again mate

Actually thought of putting red dots on mine coz i saw a video saying that it's actually more comfortable and linear over various different bumps and forums even say that, but i heard there's actually two different red dots, but is there tho? Is red spot an entirely different cone from red dot? Not sure which one to get.
@@Elijah-cy9do Hey mate, so Grace runs a little firm due to having the red dot cones fitted, but she’s also running adjustable lowered shocks. I’ve not heard of the red spot cones, as they’re usually just a small red dot on the cone done with paint. Unsure if there’s any actually difference or if they’ve just been marked wrong. These are a good option to run to upgrade the suspension, but as I stated, it does compromise ride comfort if you’re used to the standard classic mini handling of either wet suspension or the EVO cones. Hope this helps mate, Tomo

there was still coolant in your filler bowl. Car was at operating temps. How did you remove the bowl without spilling coolant? also, how did you replace the cap while the system was hot? I;ve seen other methods where you put the cap in and run the engine at 2500 rpm for 5 minutes. Then let it idle and repeat 3 more times. Always keeping an eye on your temp gauge.
@@pwrshots hey mate, great questions there. Okay so the tool has a plug in it which you can refit to remove the coolant filling tool. The excess coolant in the tool isn’t an issue as it ensures that’s the highest point of the cooling system, allowing any air pockets to be replaced with coolant. Any excess can be then used in the expansion tank. If the system isn’t pressurized, you can refit the cap safely. As the filling tool was fitted, there was no pressure in the system as it wasn’t a sealed system. I haven’t heard that technique before, but it could work. So long as the thermofan is cycling, heater is hot and temperature gauge operates normally, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Just be sure to check the level once completely cold again, in both the radiator and expansion tank
@@Tomostuneups thanks for clearing that up for me. 👍
Hello mate. I have a 21 T60 Pro. It doesn’t have a service option on the dash but it has a BAD reading on the 10inch screen in the middle when on home page. Do you know how to clear or reset this mate?

The selector fork bolt will more than likely be 3/8, which is about 9.5 mm . The closest imperial to 9mm is 23/64, but I never saw a socket or spanner with that on. But maybe ? I dont think they'd heard of mm's in the good old days. The only actual tear down video I could find. Cheers mate.
