It just hit me how much of a fever dream this feels like. Even a couple years ago, cooking show -esque videos speaking of entertaining guests with low-dose gummies would have sounded like something you'd have to be on a high dose to even consider. But here we are. Man, how fast things have changed. (For what it's worth, that's a compliment -- I'm not mocking the video.)
@@AtHomewithHouseofPuff Hello Trans girl here! (And loud & proud) my boyfriend And I are going to try this next Date! we are both potheads lol def gonna enjoy them once we are done!
lol, was lookijng for just regular gummies and was in for a shock here, wasnt expecting the extras..lol ... Thanks anyhow very entertaining..greets from Finland..
Our pleasure! We got it from our local dispensary. You can totally make your own. But, for gummies, we especially like to buy it already made. And the kind we use for our gummies has very little flavor or aroma. That way, the gummies taste like watermelon (or whatever flavor you use), instead of weed.
Do you think its a good idea to put the pot on the scale and then keep assembling the gummies? Its still on and all the pushing down as you stir, the numbers are going crazy. And since its a pot right from the stove on your "metal" scale, by keeping it there you are transferring the pots heat to the scale. How does electronics work at 212° F/ 100° C? It should be weighed and moved to counter. Scales are expensive...just my thoughts.
I stand corrected. In the recipe download page, you state items needed: "kitchen scale (preferably metal so you can weigh a hot pan right on it)". I apologize. Maybe a quick reminder of using/moving hot items during the cook. You do remind us not to touch the thermometer... and I do like the video. Gelatin sheets and Glucose arrived yesterday. Cooking today!
That’s a great question! TBH, we haven’t tried it because, with things like candy, sugar substitutes can really change the texture. If you want to try it, your best bet is probably erythritol. If you do, please let us know how they turn out!
@@AtHomewithHouseofPuff no i’ts not… if you boiled out water…. You wouldn’t be able to make those gummy’s!! Are you telling me you boil off all the water you put in gelatin? Also water in the coloring? Can you just explain how you come to this idea of evaporation goes with oil/water bonding together?
@@peppertime1 Huge apologies! I was answering you quickly before & thought you were asking about cannabis butter, instead of our gummy recipe. I'm not sure of the chemistry here, but, since you add the oil as the last step-after the gelatin-we haven't experienced any separation issues and we've made them multiple times. Give the recipe a try and let us know what you think.
Oh, also, just by vigorously shaking the bottle to mix the cannabis oil thruout, our dosing has come out as evenly as you can get with homemade edibles.
Umm, not sure exactly what you’re asking. But if you’re wondering if you get all the same effects without the terpenes, you might not. We’re firm believers in the entourage effect-and terpenes are a critical factor in that. But, with the concentrates we’ve used, we’ve gotten really satisfactory sleep, pain relief, and relaxation. So, while we might be missing something, it wasn’t enough to make us dissatisfied. Also, one of the best things about gummies is that they’re a great way for newbies to get comfortable with cannabis. So, with that in mind, we feel like sacrificing the terpenes is worth it. Hope that helps!
@@AtHomewithHouseofPuff thanks for the reply. What I mean is if you used the strain say girl scout cookies then say sour diesel would the effects vary or are you just extracting the thc . Would the effects be the same as if you smoked it.
@@david69funk sorry for the lag in responding! No matter the form factor (flower, edibles, etc), the effects will definitely vary by strain. And vice versa, so if you're inhaling or eating a strain, the effects would generally be the same. BUT, the way that our digestive systems process cannabis multiplies its effects. So, edibles will always take longer to hit but will also be stronger.
Absolutely! Just use our edibles dosing calculator to get the right dosing. You can find it here: www.thedrawingroom.blog/make-cannabutter-in-9-easy-steps/
Haha! Not scary though! I HATED weed sooo much and it wasn’t because I was being health conscious. I just always smoked rolled weed when I was already drinking. No wonder it was a bad idea. Then, my son, who thinks he knows and I need to be educated, he said he he was against weed, but later he comes in to tell me that he grabbed one of my candy. Well, these were double strength!!! Ha I would say do what I did. Take a gummy or lollipop and just suck on it and then put it down.
Too much work,,,I make better chocolate and cakes,,brownies,,,than I can make with these ingredients,,,my ingredients are powder weed and melted chocolate,,,step one and step two,,,,melt and mix,,,put into never never land,,,to much work ,,,and my stuff will knock you out, 28 grams per 28 disks. Can't wake up in the ma na na 😅,,,and no sugar added,,,just the sugar from the chocolate,,,nothing more ,very potent on the the side, with no sugar high

how do you prevent oil-water separation and having unequal distribution of thc ? since oil and water does not blend.... how do you manage this part?
The water boils off and the THC disperses fairly evenly. Butter does have some water in it.

@pepperttime1 you need to add an emulsifier after you add oil. Either lecithin or guar gum.

Hi, where do I find the exact amounts for the ingredients?
Check out the link to our editorial site, The Drawing Room below. You can find a written list of the ingredients and recipe there. Enjoy!

Can you use canna butter or is it only oil??
Great question! For gummies, cannabutter would change the texture & the flavor too much. So, stick with oil for this one.
Can you make thegummies with RSO oil?
Absolutely! Just use our edibles dosing calculator to get the right dosing. You can find it here: www.thedrawingroom.blog/make-cannabutter-in-9-easy-steps/
I think you should make poltent one
Make them however you like them.
alternative for gelatine?
We’ll research & work on a vegan recipe. But the consistency will be different.
Does this work out to be less expensive than just buying gummy edibles?

Yep!

Weed thc tetrohidrocanabidol

They're psychotropic, but not psychoactive, cause the definition has no axiomatic connection to what is being talked about
