We started using our home made cannabis extract about 2 years ago. My mother who is 70 recently had blood tests done and the doctor was proud to tell her that the medication he gave her was lowering her colesterol. She didn't have the heart to tell him she never used the stuff and never filled the prescription. She had been using the cannabis for severe back pain and it treates two issues at the same time. Cannabis all the way baby.
I was working for a lady a few years back her mother had been told by the hospital that there was nothing they could do for her . cancer in her stomach and spine . three tubes later and you guessed it she's partying at family gatherings now at 73 .... if you know you know ..... peace and ❤️ not £s
A three part stainless steel double boiler works very well too, you reclaim about 75%. Pairing it with an induction stove to prevent sparks is also a good idea. To be certain to purge the solvent I like to place the reduction in an oven safe dish and bake at 230F for 3 hours. When the oil stops producing bubbles it's both purged and decarboxylate.
This video was taken shortly before harvest, so broken now or later, all our plants end up harvested to use for our wonderful oils. No plant dies in vain at Endoca :)

I been doing this for 40 years, Everclear Ch4 is what to use. We called it either Hash oil, or as he made it out of weed it's Weed oil. Don't evaporate over a gas stove as Ch4 fumes are extremely flammable. Mix oil when it's hot off of the evaporation method you choose, with more weed and putting the weed in the oil vessel and stir, then smoke in your pipe or rolled into joints, which we called "Oilers" or not and smoke it in an oil pipe which we didn't have back when. Use a Pyrex measuring vessel for all the stages. Beginning to end where you are heating the "Product"
He's using a CBD strain. The point of decarb is to activate THC but he's not using a THC strain. So no point. But I think you would do it at the very beginning of the process for THC and then follow his steps.

Hello, great video btw. Can I buy any water distiller? I just buy the water distiller and follow your instructions? What about the decarboxylation? I thought this process was important and achieved with high temperatures?
I was going to ask the same question. decarboxylation is not mentioned in the video and to my understanding is a key to convert THC A into THC. I've seen 110° c would be the right temperature for about 1hr ?.
Abhishek N not really. Ethanol is just home made moonshine. Ever clear alcohol works great too. It’s a 180 percent alcohol also which makes it better to use.
I enjoyed this video very much, you seem very professional in what you do. What is the best way to make oil for a vaporizer? Do you have a video for that? Thank you.
This was very helpful. Sadly my bulldog has gotten to the age where he is suffering from joint pain from old age and I can't take him to the vet everytime as it's really expensive, leaving me with no option but to look at CBD oil for him, at a safe low dosage. THANKS !!!
Very informative video. I like the idea of recapturing the alcohol with the distiller... but doesn't the distiller heat at a temperature that would damage the turpenes, and other desirable materials? I'd read that you should remove the alcohol at as low a temperature as possible. In researching the distillers, their temperature shutoff is quite high. Thanks.
Most turpenes vaporize at the same temp as the THC around 347F. Water distills at 212F so the turpenes should be safe. And since the coffe maker's burner doesnt get above 212 you wont have to worry about losing anything good when youre burning off the remaining alcohol😉
One thing everyone seems to skip is how to effectively transfer your end product (RSO or what have you..) from bowl/pan/etc to something a little more viable for dosing etc (e.g. syringe). Obviously the end product is super concentrated and I find there is a fair amount that gets wasted as it "sticks" to surfaces etc. Anyone have an idea on how to do this? I am thinking some sort of syringe that is heat resistance that you could evaporate the ethanol off in and then you would be left with your concentrate all ready to go in the syringe.
Good question, there would be some that would remain in the container at the end that you would have to use from there, but using a syringe it would be relatively easy to suck up majority of the end result for easier dosing
you can pull it up in a syringe. And what is stuck to the bowl itself, if you add coconut fat you can use it in that format or scrape it on to a smoking paper, assuming you smoke it at some point.
I have a very small bottlesystem with a pull-up syringe, I got it from a vet when my cat needed medication. It works perfectly. I keep filling it fromout a bigger bottle. When it's done yes there is some 'waste' sticking to the inside of the bottles and the filling syringe but I use that for making tea. just pour or pull-up small amounts of hot-not-boiling water in until the bottle is clean, mix with fat milk or some butter and eventually some other tea.
I think As long as the temp stays below a certain level, the thc doesn't burn off. That's what I've deduced so far. I'm sure this guy could correct me.
Cannabis that is less than 0.3% THC is considered to be industrial hemp and will have a higher concentration of CBD instead. It's not from a recreational or medical marijuana strain. I'm looking into a license for hemp and want to produce my own CBD oil from it.
decarb your bud before doing this process. Grind spread on foil and put in at 220 for about 50-70 don't allow it to get overly browned. Allow it to cool before moving to the next step.
Thanks for the video :) why can one only stir for 3 minutes? Is it not beneficial to let it seep in the alcohol for a longer time? And what concentration does the ethanol you use have?
Looks like 60% it said in the video. Also if you let it seep you get resin and other stuff extracted as well which probably won't matter if you are eating it but it will matter if you vape it
In the first 90 seconds you get almost 80 to 90% of cannabinoids, if you let it sit more time, as alcohol loses its polarity while getting closer to ambient temperature it will extract other stuff like chlorophyll that will make your extraction dark and bitter.
Ever clear contains some sugars and other additives, like many alcoholic drinks so ideally you would want something as pure as possible for extraction.
You should buy hemp. In Switzerland there is a product called Sweed which is only CBD And tastes like the good stuff in the states. but if you’re in the states you should be buying hemp or going to a dispensary.
Thank you for the great video! Questions: in the video it states I can use the distilled ethanol over and over. How many times is the reuse of the distilled ethanol recommended? Also, how do I know when the ethanol/cannabis mixture is at 80% inside the distiller? I have done this twice and I accidentally allowed the distiller to go to long resulting in slightly burning the oil or in burning off almost 100% of the alcohol. Thanks in advance!
Because ethanol is actually the safest, and its for human consumption. You need to use food grade materials. While isopropyl is LESS dangerous than for example methanol but it is still not for human consumption
I can buy the following ethanol cheaply. Is this fine to use or does the acetate make it unfit for use to make the oil extract? Ethanol 95E5 (Ethyl alcohol of 99.99% purity. denatured with 5% (volume) ethyl acetate). Can be used for Biofires.
"Denatured alcohol, is ethanol that has additives to make it poisonous, bad tasting, foul smelling or nauseating, to discourage recreational consumption" - use Everclear or other high proof drinking alcohol
Why can't you just take the cannabis leaves and flower and soak it in oil for about 5 weeks , Strain it , Get some more cannabis leaves & flowers soak it for another 5 weeks in the previous oil that you just used . Will that not work? I Can't see why not , you can do this with comfrey leaves and once you're finished you will have nice strong soothing oil for cuts bruises broken bones excetera excetera. I'm really curious to see if this would work
It would work, but you will have a lot more plant material inside so the taste would be stronger. Also, it would be less concentrated, but many people make extracts this way
I think you are on to something I think this would be alot easier ,if not a better way. The same way you make alot of essential oils with a carrier oil.
Hi Henry. Thank you for the great information! My question refers to the light the herb is grown with. Does natural sunlight improve the effectiveness of the healing oil or does artificial light also produce a high grade oil?
Does the alcohol decarb the CBD-A into CBD? (EDIT: No it does not). Cannabis used to make oil, tinctures as well as other edible cannabis products requires decarboxylation. The product you made is CBD-A and not CBD, unless you think the 24hrs on the coffee machine provided enough heat to decarb it, but no. At least mention decarboxylation. If the cannabis is heated too much, we run the risk of vaporizing and losing some of the important cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids which have medicinal properties. At the same time we want remove the CO2 as quickly and effectively as possible.
It'll decarboxylate at room temperature in open air. This natural aging process (e.g. "curing") is rapidly accelerated by heating. They have both raw hemp extract (CBD + CBDa) or not (CBD only) available. As was mentioned repeatedly in the video the point of the 24 hrs on the coffee burner is not to decarboxylate the extract it's to remove the solvent.
Im not saying not to remove the solvent over 24hrs on a coffee burner, thats important. Im saying that patients watching this video will be making CBDA which wont help them medically and they may depend on it. Heres whats missing : Put the herb in the oven for 25 minutes at 220 degrees Fahrenheit, now the CBDA has become CBD and you are ready to mix it with alcohol in a bowl and carry on as shown in the video. The title of the video is CBD oil not CBDA oil. In the rare case that a patient actually needs CBDA, they should consider consuming the herb raw instead of spending money and time making oil. Of course, respect to endoca for helping people make their own medicine.
24 hours at 160 degF is useless, but 20 minutes at 220 degF is all it takes! Alrighty then glad you've got the curve all figured out due to your many years of experience. Maybe you should upload a video showcasing your CBD oil along with some lab verified proof of results? If not, then where's the randomized, double blind, placebo controlled studies on raw hemp oil vs cooked hemp oil? I"m all eyeballs.
Yes 160F is very suboptimal, you are freeing so little CBD that it not medical or economical. And room temperature you mentioned earlier made me laugh. Endoca products are of course top quality CBD as they use CO2 extraction with pressured air, its just their demonstration in this video that is incomplete.
160 degrees is also speculation. A carafe burner might be 200+ degrees. Room temperature shouldn't make you laugh when that's how buds are cured. And wild hemp has time to age a lot longer than the freshly harvested buds grown in the "How To" guides you've probably read where this 220 degrees in the oven optimal business makes more sense. One can grow buds faster, fatter and more potent than what they're going to get outdoors which is subject to the weather. So if our case is the optimal, there's all kinds of ways to make the case here. That's not the point of the video obviously. How much CBDa is in this final product is speculation at best. Again unless you have evidence showing otherwise which you haven't provided yet so I assume you don't.
The reason is so expensive is due to insane initial costs (machinery costs around 400 000€ for co2 extraction, per machine, and they have small turnaround), then there's running costs, as these use a lot of power, require a factory, test lab facilities, etc. also many countries have ridiculous requirements such as PhD in farmaceuticals, PhD in botanics, and PhD in production process that needs to be on a constant payroll, in order for the company to "be of medical standards" The real reason is so that everyday ppl don't start producing it, because, well you are supposed to be a slave, not a businessman. That's why I strongly suggest to follow this man's advice , and make your own. There's plenty farmers who legally grow commercial cannabis wich on average contains 2-6 % CBD, and the flowers are a waste byproduct for them, so you can get kilos for very little money or free depending on your social skills. There's also strains available which contain 18% cbd and 0.2% thc, so if grown illegally do not make you a drug criminal, but a felon for growing cannabis without a permit. Just my 2 cents good folks.
@@bdaxxx2427 I know CBD oil have many health benefits,I'm interested in it and if CBD oil can sell in China, my CBD oil filling machine will be more hot sell ☺

0:33 you actually don’t need to dry it out to make an extract. Live resin is a very common thing days. Just flash frozen right off the stock and then you know the rest.
if you do the decarboxylation you will not get the high , but it works brilliant for pain my son had a back opperation that did not work and he suffered a lot with pain now his joined a gym and does body building that combats back pain too
thank you for this video. your method of ethanol extraction has some advantages in that you can reuse your solvents.but adding heat from the cofee maker heat pad makes the extract dark. one could skip the heater part and use vacume. but if you dont have a vacume you can skip the heat and put a small fan on it and your extract will stay nice and pale and not get dark. i use only ethanol extraction now. i used to like a butane extraction with ethonal to crash out the lipids and terpys. but anymore i just soak with everclear that ill put in a stainless steel beaker that goes in a cooler with dry ice. sub zero temps of your solvent make super clear and a very pretty color of oil..
Duane Eikleberry, my husband and I are very new to this. Our first batch turned out like tar and we don't know what to do with it. (we followed instructions from another site, cooking the alcohol off) If we were to try your dry ice method, does the dry ice evaporate the alcohol?
Mind me asking what the reason for using ice cold ethanol instead of just room temperature or even slightly above, I would have thought a slightly warmer ethanol would help leach the oils out much better and quicker? I’m not a pro so please excuse me if this is a stupid question.. 😷
This is great, but if you want a very pure CBD sample you will need to do some type of distillation to separate the CBD from the THC and other cannaboids like CGD or whatever

Lick it out of the bowl…problem solved.

This CBD Oil is really interesting. Where can I buy CBD?
what's the benefits of this plant?
Thanks a lot was a great article enjoyed the read.
Why don't you use gin or volka be used instead of ethanol? The first two are also alcohol.
Amy Hoang because ethanol is a much purer stronger alcohol, yo can use grain alcohol too but never ipa
Where can one buy the cannabis????
i know someone doing this and there was an accidental spark and it blew his whole kitchen apart, do this OUTDOORS
Is there still going to be THC in the oil?even tho you didn't initially decarb the buds there is still a heating process, does the release THC?
@@SirLoboBellaco can you decarb like you mentioned, then put the bud into the freezer ? I see some people keep the bud frozen
The best cannabis company in the world!!:)) !I love what you do!
Can i use Ever clear as my ethanol ?
Ever clear contains some sugars and other additives, like many alcoholic drinks so ideally you would want something as pure as possible for extraction.
@@EndocaCBD Use what kind ? Where would you buy it ?
If I use this method, is there still THC in the oil? I am interested in using the oil for anxiety but don't want the psychotropic effects
You should buy hemp. In Switzerland there is a product called Sweed which is only CBD And tastes like the good stuff in the states. but if you’re in the states you should be buying hemp or going to a dispensary.

We use hemp in this extraction and also in our CBD products, therefore very low THC :)

I agree! Every coffeemaker I know, turns off automatically after about 20 minutes.
Use a adjustable temp griddle or hot plate

You can just blow a fan on the mix no heat and let it evaporate. The water distill is a nice touch to reuse 👍
Glad you enjoyed!
Around 3 or 4 times should be fine, and the only way to check is to carefully open the distiller, and check on the process

Can you use this oil to make blunts? Asking for a friend.
Oil into blunts? Lord.
We don't suggest using extract like this in anything to be smoked :)
Simple, smart, easy. Thanks
Why do you choose ethanol against any other solvents?
what are the advantage of Ethanol why not Spirit/isopropyl etc. ?
Because ethanol is actually the safest, and its for human consumption. You need to use food grade materials. While isopropyl is LESS dangerous than for example methanol but it is still not for human consumption
I can buy the following ethanol cheaply. Is this fine to use or does the acetate make it unfit for use to make the oil extract?
Ethanol 95E5 (Ethyl alcohol of 99.99% purity. denatured with 5% (volume) ethyl acetate).
Can be used for Biofires.
"Denatured alcohol, is ethanol that has additives to make it poisonous, bad tasting, foul smelling or nauseating, to discourage recreational consumption" - use Everclear or other high proof drinking alcohol
ethanol is not only safe it extracts much better than iso..iso is really not the right thing to use, damages the liver in tiny amounts
@@EndocaCBD Hi, the water distiller which you used, is it just a standard water distillery or is it a certain model for the making of essential oils?
How do you do it in a pot on the stove? I don't have a distiller and don't want to buy one.
Be carful because I read that you can initiate fire at home of you make it at your stove because alcohol can be accumulated during the evaporation
so why did this come out grainy???
Did not sift/strain enough? To much heat?

Why can't you just take the cannabis leaves and flower and soak it in oil for about 5 weeks , Strain it , Get some more cannabis leaves & flowers soak it for another 5 weeks in the previous oil that you just used . Will that not work? I Can't see why not , you can do this with comfrey leaves and once you're finished you will have nice strong soothing oil for cuts bruises broken bones excetera excetera.
I'm really curious to see if this would work
It would work, but you will have a lot more plant material inside so the taste would be stronger. Also, it would be less concentrated, but many people make extracts this way
O ok thanks for your reply 🙂
@@EndocaCBD thankyou for your reply 🙂
I think you are on to something
I think this would be alot easier ,if not a better way. The same way you make alot of essential oils with a carrier oil.
Hi Henry. Thank you for the great information! My question refers to the light the herb is grown with. Does natural sunlight improve the effectiveness of the healing oil or does artificial light also produce a high grade oil?
Both work fine as long as your plants are well looked after and have the right breeding :)
I’ve never seen that step before.. you distilled the product after filtration then heated it.. very interesting 🧐
Liked and subbed.
Awesome Gary!
Landed here to Gary, did you try it?
Africa 🌍 needs your knowledge. Cannabis is growing wild in my village, we need your brain n knowledge.
Again unless you have evidence showing otherwise which you haven't provided yet so I assume you don't.
;-) Big Thksss
Excellent video explaining how to make oil!
I just wanted to cry at the beginning when i saw you breaking a branch with a immature flower
I cant trust u if u wear uspa
The thumbnail looks like ggg
The reason is so expensive is due to insane initial costs (machinery costs around 400 000€ for co2 extraction, per machine, and they have small turnaround), then there's running costs, as these use a lot of power, require a factory, test lab facilities, etc. also many countries have ridiculous requirements such as PhD in farmaceuticals, PhD in botanics, and PhD in production process that needs to be on a constant payroll, in order for the company to "be of medical standards"
The real reason is so that everyday ppl don't start producing it, because, well you are supposed to be a slave, not a businessman.
We dream of a world where everyone can extract their own oils!

if you do the decarboxylation you will not get the high , but it works brilliant for pain my son had a back opperation that did not work and he suffered a lot with pain now his joined a gym and does body building that combats back pain too
the coffee heater to finish is brilliant!
Might have to go a pinch the old 80s coffee machine from my Mum's house....
Lol

thank you for this video.
your method of ethanol extraction has some advantages in that you can reuse your solvents.but adding heat from the cofee maker heat pad makes the extract dark.
one could skip the heater part and use vacume.
but if you dont have a vacume you can skip the heat and put a small fan on it and your extract will stay nice and pale and not get dark.
i use only ethanol extraction now. i used to like a butane extraction with ethonal to crash out the lipids and terpys. but anymore i just soak with everclear that ill put in a stainless steel beaker that goes in a cooler with dry ice.
sub zero temps of your solvent make super clear and a very pretty color of oil..
Duane Eikleberry, my husband and I are very new to this. Our first batch turned out like tar and we don't know what to do with it. (we followed instructions from another site, cooking the alcohol off) If we were to try your dry ice method, does the dry ice evaporate the alcohol?

@@EndocaCBD I think I found it early last year so I think about 100x by now... 10x this past week
Very good presentation thank you.
Though should have done a close up on the burn test, to show the viewer how the quality fail test looks like...
Well, the fail test is simply if there is a spark, it needs to be heated longer to evaporate the remaining alcohol :)
