I was at this in the front row. The first question he answers was mine. Really cool time. :-) 13 years later in Vermont, I was able to give him a copy of my first published book.
was it a successful book? what was it about?
It was a quartet of short stories, VICTORIA'S PLACE AND OTHER TALES OF TERROR. Those stories, along with a half-dozen others, were later compiled into my e-book, TALES FROM DARK 7. The latter is available via my links above. If you'd like a (print) copy of the former title, please feel free to contact me at my Facebook author's page above. Thank you for asking about it, BTW. :-)
how beautiful

@@CinematicMaj No need to prove anything. I did it.
I watched this on c-span in 1996 while sitting in my first apartment in Greenville NC. I’ve been looking for it ever since. Thank you so much for posting this.
2020 here. I’m 29 and I started reading king in 4th grade. Favorite writer x1000000000. Love this guy and hope he never stops writing
I first found Stephen King in the 6th grade. I had a free period so my Teacher told me to take a couple of books out to entertain myself with, so I found “Christine” by Stephen King & “The Walton Experience “ by Travis Walton, a true life tale of a logger who was abducted by aliens & disappeared for a week. I think due to the topics, my mind opened quicker to these topics then my peers did, looking back on it.
what a wonderful speaker. So amazing that listening to him speak is as wonderful as reading his writing!
I was there too! The other day my son mentioned Stephen King, and when I told him that I got to "meet" him once, he didn't believe me at first! So grateful to be able to watch this again so many years later. Thanks for sharing it!
I’ve seen a bunch of kings talks and I found this one a real treat.
Thank you!
Content here is very valuable, but, um, what a humming sound this video has. Dreaming of Google installing an equaliser to their platform, since it's musical too.
Hey, thank you so much for uploading this stuff! By chance, do you remember at what minute does Steve reads a bit of The Dark Tower? At the begining he said he brought some new dark tower stuff to read, but I can find it :( Thanks!
He starts at around 42:00 I think
Thank you!

WHY is the volume in nearly every one of these so low that they're barely audible? My volume on my phone is turned up completely.. it's quiet, yet I can't hear half of what he's saying. 😭
Thank you!

Wow. What a timely subject all these years later. Lookin' at you, Florida.
