I absolutely love your stories!! I have wanted to write and this session has inspired me to take a creative writing course. I'm 62 years young and have had a story in mind for years!
I'm going through personal hell and these one and a half hours made me feel good for once. Lovely conversation :) 11.22.63 is among my all time favourite books
I'm so grateful that I'm not a writer in my 70s and people asking me questions about a short story that I wrote 50 years ago. I can barely remember what I did yesterday...
I agree. The best first line ever written, if not the best line in general, is "the man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed..."
The long walk was the most disturbing story I have ever read. I agree with Steve that the story is about the journey and what ever the ending is doesn’t matter nearly as much. Enjoy the read.
I love that King does all these interviews. I feel like their great for fans and fellow writers. However, I've watched so many of them since COVID started that I'm starting to recognize things in the back. Like that fish tank. I haven't started the video yet, but that tank looks pretty dark. Where all the fish at?
Someone needs to tell Stephen that audio dramas are still a a thing, and more of a thing these days because of the internet. It feels like he's unaware of the technology around him but that's ok. Great guy. Also whats up with the tanks? A commenter says it's a fish tank? If so, why is it so dark? I've never seen such a thing. Reminds me of oil. Is it an oil canister? I'm joking but seriously what is it? But yeah it looks like he's in some warehouse garage or something but he's in his actual house.
Not a fan of Lisey's Story unfortunately. The weakest King story I've read to date in my opinion. The terms he uses are way overused and gets annoying at times. I read it to get through it before the series came out, because of my dislike of it, I don't particularly want to watch the series now. I'm about a third the way through his writings and have not been reading in order. Lisey's Story is the only one I don't like so far.
@@leilakamel8425 yeah, I Think This one is 12 years old and he has written some great stuff since. Hope he still has many years left. Unfortunately not everyone will like everything, though I'm happy he is still with us
@@rustyrelicsfarm2406 I did enjoy The Institute, not his best ever work but I did like it. I'm looking forwards to Billy Summers next month. Got Later when that came out earlier this year, enjoyed that too.
His books are absolutely brilliant and not demonic, The Green Mile is massively Christian as John Coffey. His initials are JC Jesus Christ and was executed for his righteousness. Heals the sick and comforting the lost. It's like saying Lord of the Rings is demonic when in fact Tolkien was a devote Christian.
Lots of patience and generosity on the master's part. Thank you for leading the way.
Love how King makes the mundane everyday person interesting, their deep inner thoughts and dynamic sub plots without information dumping.
I've read everything that King has written. I wait for his newest book like a kid waiting for Christmas!! 😊
Annie Wilkes vibes
What’d you think of a Fairy Tale?

How's it going!?
Best king interview I’ve seen. Great questions.
6:24 King first talks. You’re welcome
Thanks for the interview :)

king is like a force of nature when he writes something good it ripples through society til it slows down to become the norm
@Evan Hodge How was it lousy?

Love his interviews, but so many spoilers in this one from a lot of books!
I'm reading The Outsider now.🤗
Love that he shouted out The Vast of Night.
Thanks and greattings for Mendoza, Argentina

Good heavens. I didn't know it was a fish tank until I read the comment above. I thought it was some kind of spirit showing up. *laughs*
You're sensing something fishy. I made that lame joke...for the halibut.
She said "our lie-berry" my Library Technician's soul rebels!!!
54:03 absolutely ppl made love w masks on ..they drove cars
So what did the doctor professor write and publish?
In Christine, when Arnie appears in front of the Duster where Dennis and Leigh are parked behind KFC, that was a damn good startle.
Duma Key was great! So was The Institute
Stephen King is my favorite contemporary author. He's fascinating, even when faced with an annoyingly pretentious interviewer.
SPOILER ALERTS WOULD'VE BEEN NICE (just saying...)
Spoiler city! Had to shut it off

Still, it's extremely impressive that King wrote Lisey's story at his age.

I used to live and breath stephen king books until I found the Lord . Now I realize how demonic they really are.
