By far the biggest problem i have with the new dlc is the Italian balance of power, because of the mechanic where losing non-core sates reduce support by 5% I've had too many times where I've been forced into a civil war after losing something like Romania even though I've already taken over half the world. They need to put more effort into making it so you can regain power as Mussolini because there are only about 5 decisions and 2 or 3 focusses then after that you cant get anymore support for him making extremely difficult not to get couped in a major war. Especially against someone like the soviets where states are constantly exchanged and there by you constantly lose support that by that point in the game you can never get back.
Btw I think it’s better to go the left side of decolonization tree to get cores in Africa - it’s really easy to get them voting yes on it, just do colonial development focuses and build up compliance.

Agree Communist path is a bit underdeveloped. I still like it just because the old communist strategy of "Build up power, then attack Germany while the USSR has their attention" still works. But I do wish they gave them something special, even if it's just Germany attacking you after taking care of France.
Honestly 'Sieze the Old Equipment' is genius. Part of the problem with playing alt history paths is that the civil war kills you, but if youre defying the duce you should come out if not stronger at least comparable to what Fascist Italy would be had their been no civil war.

Just play Japan, lose early, and only then try to do all the Japan-stuff. Might be a weird challenge.
