My all time favourite chant is from my rivals towards one of my players. Andy Goram ex rangers player was diagnosed with schizophrenia & the Celtic fans started chanting there's only 2 Andy Goram's 😂😂😂. I can't even be mad that is some funny stuff 😂

Has to be up there mainly because it was originally sung by Swansea city fans but then Bristol City adopted it and took it over.

As a Shrewsbury fan, we get the mickey taken out of us for being Welsh everywhere else we go in England. I usually point out the glaring inaccuracy, it's not sheep that have to be careful round 'ere, it's cows.
Love Wales, Shropshire looks and feels much more like mid Wales than the West Midlands to me.

When I was at Uni, it shocked the students from other nations how quickly those from the 'home' nations started to take the piss out of each other. If you don't care about someone, you can't insult them!

I remember back in the days when unfortunately hooliganism was rife, chants aimed at opposition fans such as" You're going home in an ambulance!" and " You'll never make the station!".
I remember wolves fans chanting to Leeds United fans "he's one of your own, he's one of your owwowown, Jimmy Savile he's one of your own". Savile is Leeds born and bred

Literally every team leeds play sing it, we always reply with "Jimmy Saville, he's fingered your mum" or "he's probably your dad" with certain exceptions for specific teams where we say he's shagged *insert opposition legend here*

My team Sunderland had a player called Lee Howey .His brother played for Sunderlands biggest rivals Newcastle .The Sunderland supporters used to chant " Lee Howey Lee Howey your brother is a c*** ".
Steve Howey years later was in Africa working for F.I.F.A. and as he got out of a minibus to go into the British embassy he was serenaded with the chant by a Sunderland supporter who was out there working .No hiding place .Lee Howey probably did think that about his brother as well .
The Lee Howey chant is part and parcel of a Sunderland away day. Needs to be sung at least once
His mam sung it when Steve was there - he told the story in the last 12 months or so to a couple of football podcasts 😂 (toon fan btw 😉)

I remember a North London derby at Highbury, days after Tony Woodcock had received a driving ban. The Arsenal get an early corner at the clock end, which is where the Spurs away fans were. Woodcock is at the near post and the Spurs fans came out with " You came all this way, on the bus. " Woodcock could only laugh and give them a thumbs up, which was obviously greeted by mass wanker signs. Even though I'm Arsenal, it made me laugh.

One I always enjoy hearing is "we forgot, we forgot, we forgot that you were here". Best deployed by an away crowd when the home crowd suddenly make some noise after being quiet for ages 😅

I think if your team loses regularly you get used to it and relax - my ice hockey team were bottom of the league for years and after a while as long as they tried you were happy! All the best for Mrs and baby Boomer

My favourite chant. Manchester Utd used to have a football player called “Nani” who just so happened to resemble Michael Jackson. The fans chant was “your just a shit Michael Jackson, your just a shit Michael Jackson”.
I visited Minute Maid Park (Houston Astros) the other week, very impressive (baseball) stadium and the food / drink was far better than the dog food we get at football grounds. No chants though, which felt very different and caught me out when expecting them. Did enjoy the national anthem being sung and removed my hat out of respect, we don't really do that in domestic football. Totally different experience and very enjoyable!
The "USA" chant was for Auston Trusty playing for Birmingham City FC on loan from Arsenal

When I was in Las Vegas we went to see the college football & the chants from the Las Vegas Rebels fans were shockingly bad 😂

The USA chant was a Birmingham City chant, Im a fan who supports Birmingham and we had a player on loan from Arsenal called Auston Trusty and he was amazing ans we now have American Owners so we regularly start chanting USA 😂

Your team remains at bottom for next season. Ours gets relegated, loses lots of money and has to try coming up next year. You should watch Welcome to Wrexham about a Welsh club who literally just go back into football league after a catastrophic fall through 4 leagues

The guy at the end about the chip shops is my kind of guy (I'm guessing that was another of the chants from a Midlands team, the Midlands being my region).
The Rangers chant set to 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' is right up there though.
Bristolian here. Never heard that chant before. That was classic!
Good Reaction,as always and with only one or two exceptions,these were all from the lower leagues of The 4 League:92 Clubs, Football League structure, especially Cheltenham Town where our friend is from.
Walsall is quite possibly the most run down town out of all the different clubs featured on this yet it's definitely the most creative song out of all

What you wil find is the "better" chants are usually by the lower league clubs as the fans that go there are still the fans both passionate about the team and the game. As you move up the league and the premier league, a lot of the "fans" have been priced out of attending games so theyre more sedate affairs when it comes to fan atmospshere
And we also become more self-deprecating when things go badly. Forget anger and annoyance. If those muppets on the pitch think they can destroy our Saturdays every week by being hopeless then we will just create our own fun (plus tell them they’re clueless and they don’t deserve us, our club, or the money they earn).
It’s the British way - when things go crap, laugh.
Im an aberdeen fan here in scotland, were known as the sheep shaggers!! And even to make it worse one of our mascots a sheep!! Now try explaining that one to my gandchildren!! Lol

I think with football 99% of teams are never going to see or experience glory, I've had it drilled into me you support the team where you are from, and I'm happy to have been born literally under the old floodlights of Elland Road, Leeds. (tallest in Europe at the time) I have been lucky to see my team win the league, something very few fans can say these days, but there has been a lot of terrible times since then, you can't choose your family and you can't choose the team you love as a real fan. We make the best of the bad times and embrace the good times, whether that be a trophy or just battering a rival team.

Yes agree, how I was 'raised' too in this regard. Whenever a WC or Euro's came round, I always asked "who are you supporting?" to those I knew who followed big teams from afar.
"England of course" came the puzzled reply. I then asked why because they never win anything, so why don't they support Spain/Germany/Brazil etc. The penny drops eventually!

A lot of the self depricating ones are from lower league teams and they're more used to losing, so can joke about it.

A number of these were my hometown club, Cheltenham Town, small club playing at a higher level than we should be really, always funny chants
I remember many years ago chanting "we know where your car is" to a referee we felt was biased against us

Love this video , one of my funniest experiences was a away day with man city , and our rivals man united back in the day had a player called Bobby Charlton, and we have a chant about one of our players that goes to the tune of voulez vous " bernardooo silva running down the wing silva makes the blue boys sing silva we are going Istanbul"(Or wherever the final is) , and we're all singing and towards the end of the song it goes quiet , and instead of we are going Istanbul some drunk fella goes " BOOOOBBY CHARLTON TOUCHES K*DDDDSSS" and everyone just died laughing , and that stuck for the rest of the night 😂😂😂😂

@@jimb9063 Yup, the match against Wimbledon Saturday was the worst yet. We came out shit, conceded goals, get a player sent off and the players just seemed like they wanted the game to end rather than fight.

@@pegaz6529 That's the thing when you don't follow a giant club. You don't necessarily or even often expect to win, but you do expect your players to give it their all.
It's the manner of the defeat that hurts, if the opposition is just better than you it's easier to take.
Miss the days of Hairyford, the Train Spotters, Chester Shitty, you and us in the same division like it often was back in the day. Even those from across the border who shall remain nameless. We need local rivalries, as long as it stays fun. Feel like I've got much more in common with you than the plastic TV fans who live in my hometown.
@@jimb9063 I agree. We had a preseason friendly with Aston Villa and we were winning 1-0, which shocked us even more. We were chanting things like "Premiere league? You're having a laugh!" cuz nobody expects a team 3 leagues below them to win lol. It ended 1-1 cuz the ref gave them a pen on a dive.

I've probably said this before, but the "if you're watching on the telly you're a c..." is Millwall fans away at the might Oakwell (Barnsley FC). The match was live on Sky TV. I was at the match, so not sure how Sky handled it, but they probably turned the microphones down at that end of the ground.

Birmingham City had a decent American defender last season called Auston Trusty on loan from Arsenal. Plenty of USA chants thrown about and now even more with Tom Brady owning a minority share. KRO fellow brummies.

i suggest you go to a lower league football match because most of the grounds are old and traditional and have good atmosphere. if you wanted to go to a really nice stadium then you should check out Tottenham’s new stadium.
