I'm encouraged by the organization inside your shipping storage container. Very impressed on how you have organized it! However I do think you still have a few too many things inside the main house still got to pull some more of that stuff out of there into your shipping container so you can walk around with safety in the main house.

I like alot of your ideas on how a person can live more on less.... If you already have a comfortable living space in the garage. I wouldn't stress out or be in any big hurry to get the house done.....Heck for $5000 you could do nothing to the house. Live in the garage, use the house for storage & be able to sell it for $5000 if you wanted to move. Especially if the garage was converted into a nice normal looking efficiency apt. or guest sleeping area. You could probably sell the house for more than the $5000 u paid for it. Someone else might wanna live in the garage while they finsh remodeling it....Also by taking your time, if you wanna keep it, you can wait until you find great deals on new, used & free building materials to stock up on then use.......I seen a news story about a guy hiding from cops in central Wisconsin (sadly he was a pedophile, so it's good he was caught ) But the cool part was he built a partially underground hidden/camouflage off grid cabin in woods. Had a little hidden solar system & generator. He'd get most of everything he needed for free by sneaking into local junkyard & landfill.....I think he siphoned gas for generator from landfill vehicles. Cabin stayed cool in summer & warm in winter since it was partially underground. Had his door been more camouflaged, he might not have ever been discovered by the curious hunter in the area. Everything was very well hidden except the front door that could have been easily hidden. I'd actually love to (if I get un sick) buy an acre of land in wooded area outside of a nearby small city and build an earthship type house that doesn't cost much to heat & cool. With indoor greenhouse area, water recycling, enough solar, wind, backup generator to live dirt cheap when I get old & on low income. If I was in your shoes, (not saying u should or shouldn't) I'd probably look for acre of cheap land to buy near a small city & collect things like free wood pallets, old windows, corrugated metal,etc.... & build cheap underground or partially underground cabin with skylights & south facing front windows out of mostly free materials. Then sell that house in town at a little profit.....There was a guy in New Zealand who built an awesome looking home for next to nothing from mostly free & cheap parts. He used lots of metal he bought from junkyards scrapyards for cheap. If land had lots of trees you could buy a chain saw portable sawmill for couple hundred $$ and use trees on the land.....The land/real estate scam around here in west central Illinois is. Realtors buy wooded land with many trees near main roads for development. For say $5000, Harvest the trees on land, sell the lumber for say $10, 000. Then resell now empty lot ready to build on. Claiming they saved the new land buyer/home builder a lot of money by already removing the trees and creating an empty lot they can build on 😂 😂 😂

Yeah you really get it right. I have been pretty good ever since I finished my little living space. Pacing it out now. No loans for me. :). Well said.
