I have this exact model color everything. Had it six weeks now and love it. Been a ford guy my whole life and this won me over in style and engine performance towing etc......
I got one of these about 2 months ago(company truck) and it’s even better than I expected. Installed an additional 2” lift. It looks and feels so premium inside and out. The turbo4 engine smokes the 5.3 V8 in driveability and responsiveness. The low-end torque is just so good! It will cruise north of 80 without hardly touching the gas pedal and will get 25mpg highway if driven correctly. My only real complaints are lack of interior storage and the mirrors are too small.
Thanks for the review and I do not mean to argue with you but I find it hard to believe you can get anywhere near 25mpg on these trucks. The sticker says 18-22 which is typically a generous number. Most reviews I've read are critical of the mpg on these pickups. Looks nice and all but to me the mileage is a deal breaker. Now you're using it as a work truck so you can deduct the cost of fuel etc. but I cannot so it is important.
You can definitely get 23-25mpg driving conservatively on flat highway. I average 20 overall and I definitely don’t baby the truck at all. I get where you’re coming from, but 2mpg is what, maybe $200 a year?
@@Holden-McGroin OK I'll take your word for it. I have an older Nissan pickup and that is about what I get on it which to me isn't good mileage which is why I also have a Honda Accord that gets 32-35mpg. I would like to go to one vehicle but the mileage is just the road block I face. Thanks for your feedback!!!
I bought one a few days ago. $50k gets you all the bells and whistles for this model. This truck is amazing. I test drove a Tacoma 2024 TRD sport and the canyon drives much more smooth and significantly nicer interior.
I don’t agree with that at all. I test drove every midsize truck before I purchased my AT4. It was by far the nicest looking and preforming truck for the price. If you want cheap, buy Nissan they are not giving them away because they are reliable or comfortable..
Great looking truck, best looking in this class for sure. Bang for the buck, I would go with the Colorado Trail Boss. I keep vehicles for a long time so realiability would be a concern.
My local GMC dealer offers lifetime power train warranty on the AT4. I paid $48k and mine is fully loaded. I spend a lot of time in my truck and the comfort in this truck was worth the extra money IMO. Drove 8hrs and didn’t have to shift my ass one time during the trip.. only my 94 300zx has better seats than this truck…
Drove one yesterday, same color , no blind spot monitor?? No HD radio , no heated steering wheel ? And Engine super loud …interior noise … My Ford F150 Ecoboost got 22.8 mpg.. 4 cylinder 17/20 !!! Way low …
Just to let you guys know after that purchase you had to go back to the dealer to replace the entire headlights that takes between 3-4 weeks this trucks comes with lights issues that happen to me two weeks ago
I bought mine end of august 2024 and it has the Intermittent flicker or flash from the front headlamps or the DRL (daytime running light) problem. The GM TSB (Technical service bulletin) is TSB PIT6203A. Other than that I love the truck. Anyone else's front headlights flicker?
Yes, he doesn’t like many GM SUV’s. If you can find one way back with the 3800 V6 in it, he strongly recommends those engines. Mostly Buicks and Oldsmobiles.
And that’s why I stopped watching both of them. There’s more to cars than Toyota. I get really annoyed when mechanics just do nothing but beat that drum. I nearly had to declare a lemon law on my 2016 Tacoma. My wife’s 2012 Camry is a complete turd, still runs but is falling apart and an awful driving experience. Those are the top two, and some are crap, just like every other brand.
It’s a hot truck for sure. My local dealer had one of these same equipment in yellow and it didn’t sell so they dealer traded it. I was close to buying, but the color just didn’t fit. Great video!
Knock about $20,000.00 off the price tag and I might be interested. No? Oh well, I guess I'll just hang onto my high mileage '05 Chevy Colorado 4X4 with its five-cylinder engine and much higher MPG.
@@revnation_auto Found mine by pure dumb luck and, believe it or not, an honest used car dealer who keeps a few "beater" pickups on his lot. They tend to have rather high mileage, but they are good knock around trucks.
Yeah that’s how it works sometimes. I found my Ranger on FB. I looked at like 10 before I bought one. They were all in terrible shape. I knew I could fix this one easily so I pulled the trigger. Keep that truck for as long as possible.
I know they are expensive, but compared to all the other midsized trucks it was the best looking and way cheaper than a new taco(my old truck). They have the best seats in the market IMO, I did get mine fully loaded for $48k but included from my dealer was a lifetime power train warranty. Added the 100k bumper to bumper warranty. Mine only had the 20” tires/rims added by the dealer. I get so many compliments on this truck and it’s a great little truck. If you want cheap go with the Nissan but crappy interior crappy seats even in the fully loaded models. Best value for the price IMO better for off road also than the trailboss with more clearance on approach angles and departure angles, plus it looks way better IMO..
@@Mikef1969 I'm glad you found, and could afford, a truck set up the way you wanted for the most part. I’m torn between this and the Colorado Trail Boss. There can be quite a massive price difference and the Trail Boss is just as capable. That interior on the AT4 is a really good place to be though.
@donovanz1049. Yes. Nissan. No amount of emoji's will hide your ignorance. The Nissan Frontier is widely believed to be the most reliable and simple midsize truck left on the market. They have a V6 naturally aspirated engine....and a overall basic, but still decent-to-good looking design in the new models. Especially if you do aftermarket leveling and tires/wheels. Best midsize option if you care about your money.
It’s not when you’re behind the wheel. Not super high out put like the Ranger Raptor but it’s a larger displacement engine that’s not going to be under massive strain all the time. Those typically fair better long term.
I have this exact model color everything. Had it six weeks now and love it. Been a ford guy my whole life and this won me over in style and engine performance towing etc......
I agree, at that price, it beats the Tacoma up and down all day long. And I've owned many Toyotas.
Same here
