I've watched your previous videos over and over!! Took notes and everything. Thank you for posting an updated video too!! I've submitted A TON of UM and UR appications and they do get past the ATS but I'm still getting denied (6+ years acute care RN, BSN). You give me so much hope though. Thank you for what you do!
Love your video! I've been considering UR because after 8 years, I'm burning out of bedside. Is it possible to get a per diem UR job without any training in the field? I'm asking simply because i want to move on eventually, I'm just not sure where i want to go.
I think it is possible but may not be easy! I would say start at the facility you at work at and maybe volunteer with the UR nurses to learn. Use that as a way to put the experience on the resume to obtain a per diem position
You can do it!!!! I would say tweak your resume and apply apply apply! You may have to take a pay cut at first but trust me it is worth it in the long run. Gods Blessings to you 💕
Worked CM for 6 years, 6 years of previous Med-Surg experience and 5 years of other nursing experience and can't get an interview for UM even at the company I work for. They only want ED and ICU. It's frustrating. Lost my CMSRN due to practice hours. Why take the CCM if I can't get an interview? Seems like a waste of time and money.
@@mzkelz3318 Have you had someone take a look at your resume to ensure it’s optimize for the positions you are looking for? I’ve noticed having a CCM gives you an edge because there are ALOT of nurses wanting to enter this specialty. CCM helps you stand out from the crowd…. I do resume reviews and would love to help you Transition into UR. Book a call with me the link is below: UtilizationReviewCrew.as.me/
Hi there! At the time a local hospital was going through a case management transition and was mass hiring for utilization nurses and they were willing to train me. Honestly clinical experience is enough you just need an employer willing to train you.
Hi! Thank you so much for your videos. Would love your honest opinion please. Do you think its worth it to pay $269 for a course on how to transition to UR ? Its offered by Alternative Healthcare Careers and they also offer to review your resume, help with interview questions, review basic principles of UR, etc. Its a lot of money so just curious your thoughts if you think it would help and worth paying for? Thank you!!!
This is for therapists mostly not necessarily nurses trying to get into the field so it is geared toward transitioning from OT/PT/ST . if you are a nurse I probably wouldn't recommend that course
I dont understand...as a Geriatric nurse in training... with experience looking for an Online job...reaching out to all these youtubers to connect me And what I am being offered is crypto currency investment...I looking for a job...not to get scam...

@@Iamcourtneynoel thank you!!
What certifications do we need? I’m seeing these case management jobs & UR jobs asking for applications with those certifications
To get in the role you don’t need any… I didn’t have any when I started out
Can you please help me out to get started, I would greatly appreciate it!

I had absolutely no clue! Love that song and I will survive!!!!
Hi cousin Courtney. Which school or website would you recommend for me to get the MCG certificate?
Hi Cousin!!!! So the only way that I know of getting a MCG certificate is through an employer. They have to have a licensing contract with MCG
@@Iamcourtneynoel ok thank you very much.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor and I’m trying to transition into Utilization Review Clinician
You can definitely do it! They are always looking for mental health specialists to do behavioral health reviews!
I am a physical therapist with masters degree and 23 years of experience and want to break into this , any advice for a non nurse etc?
I would say apply apply apply! You have the experience! Tailor your resume to fit UR job descriptions with your experience.
