You’re going to love those shocks bud. I logged many miles while testing and filming last year with the dynamix. It’s super impressive shock package .
got a few miles on It and I agree. some spring changes and sheesh well be set!!
Curious about what you will do to
Re-spring. Keep me in the loop. We have to hook up this winter. Great vids 🤙
I’m a Polaris guy so I still wanna believe the Polaris dynamics is better than the skidoo smart shox however there was a recent article in Snow Tech magazine and they made it appear that the skidoo smart shocks is a better system. Just like Bruce said the Polaris system only adjusts compression dampening not rebound and the skidoo does adjust compression and rebound and it’s a more complex advanced system compared to the Polaris. The skidoo system has far more inputs to their micro processor ECU and although uses position sensors on 3 of the 4 shocks with a total of 5 sensors that monitor engine, RPM and throttle position gradient versus time in order to adjust the suspension. The rear torque arm on the skidoo shock has two sensors, one on the left-hand rear upper suspension arm, and one on the front lower right hand suspension arm. For this reason Skidoo does not monitor or adjust the center shock as it is redundant with the data from and control of the rear shock arm.
I freaking Love it!! It's the color of my Raptor!!!! IN LOVE!! Hope to see it Friday or Saturday! I'll keep ya posted. Headed North Early Friday morning
See you there!!!
Another key advantage of the skidoo is the use of twin tube Shock absorbers. The world class KYB shocks with their twin tube design controls oil, flow through both fixed and variable valves as determined by the control unit. Oil flow is directed by shock solenoid to determine the amount of oil flowing through each path. A unique twist is the ability to control the oil flow in both compression and rebound damping, a feature exclusive to BRP. This shock technology uses a soft and a hard hydraulic valve, on command. A solenoid directs the oil in the selected valve or a specific percentage of both. The oil flow can travel in the main tube through the hard valve, or bypass it. The oil can bypass the hard valve through a double wall construction with the bypass amount being controlled by the solenoid valve. The KYB shock reaction time varies based on multiple factors, such as shock speed, shock direction, compression or rebound, damping increase or decrease. Target response time is under 40 ms.
Thank you for the video Jesse
thanks fort watching!
A new video from Jesse right as I sit down to eat dinner? Hell yeah!
perfect!!!
Nice Sled bud!! Love the Color! Congrats!
Thank you!!!
Mite as well add power steering while they are at it !
I dont think it would be necessary since the weight of the sled is pretty light. it would be cool though to have effortless turning at low speeds!
U would think they would of had that years ago not sure why all the snowmobiles don't have it
Sarcasm is lost to some folks 😅
Auto-lean too 😅.
@@WheresHerb I use to think.power steering was a joke on side by side till I drove one made a world of difference. I bet it would be a good move on the sleds
Not running an assault this season? Would be interested to see a video discussing how it worked on trail after all your changes and tuning last season. Considering going to one from my VR1 but unsure if it will handle well enough on trails...
wanted to try the Dynamix which only come on a VR1. we talked a bunch about how they worked at the end of last season. see link below!

Love it Jesse cool sled
thank you!
It’ll be interesting to see what you think of the suspension in action
its good! video coming soon!
Really hoping Polaris offers dynamics on the XCR next year.
Savvy riders are quick to notice that skidoo smart shock System is positioned in the XRS cross country segment of machines, the most capable consumer bump machines offered by skidoo. In contrast, Polaris offers their dynamic system on their Indy VR1 models which are positioned more as a comfort biased trail sled and not in their XCR models, which would be the similar alignment to the skidoo XRS machines.
we shall see what the future holds!
Did you get on snow this past weekend? Plenty of suspension testing material on the tug. lol. Can’t wait to see the build/riding.
we did! video coming soon!
Sweet
thank you!
Have you posted your overall thoughts on an assult as a trail sled?
yea last years suspension video
Can you tell me if the front FOX 80# 2" body springs interchange with the walker evans 2" body shocks if a guy wanted to soften up an XCR front end?
yes they are!
Anyone notice on there sled the rear transfer blocks are just rubber? My 23 boost had aluminum like the XCR? Are they assuming the rear shock is compensating that much?
Yes the dynamix sleds did not get the aluminum transfer blocks. Not 100% sure the reason behind that decision
Does it eliminate the need to adjust the springs?
DOes not eliminate it no. Still have to adjust for rider weight and riding style
Great tech but will be interesting to see what the failure rate is going to be on these.
they have been on the SXS for a while now and everything is done really nice!
Does each shock have a wire running to or are they battery powered and receive a signal from the computer?
wired
Does it have a steering angle sensor like the rzr does?
not to my knowledge. I believe the IMU reads that segment and adjusts through that
@jessejames322 go to the dynamix screen and see if there’s a steering angle gauge and turn the bars and see if it moves. The rzr will automatically stiffen the outer shocks just off steering angle before the module detects body roll
What's top speed out of 850 turbo ??
too many variables to give you a straight and accurate answer. all depends on many many many factors
Hey dudes are gay
