But a court ruling overturned this decision. The students came out again and we are at the current impasse. The situation is being flamed/politicised by certain groups, turning it violent. Video emerged of attacks by the security apparatus on the demonstrators., there are also images of demonstrators attacking the police/security. Since there is a court ruling, the students should have appealed to the court to overturn/amend their decision. Restraint from both side is needed to quell the unrest.
This quota is not to ensure minority representation. This is to get people of a certain list (made up as they willed to protect the gov) in only. The Court is no longer independent. BCL is a long arm of the one-party govt and carrying out acts of T against people. As soon as BCL and police started trapping people, this is no longer about quota.
