You could spend your whole life obsessed with this one movie and it wouldn't be a wasted life....or that's what I have to tell myself.
I saw it when I was 17 years old in Van Nuys California I still have the ticket stub from 1982 I am 59 years old and you are absolutely correct.

It would be wasted . The plot is simple and the ending is straightforward and nearly predictable. The only real mystery is : is Deckard a replicant?

I just love that the original storyboards for Bladerunner have the scene from BR2049 in them where K confronts Sapper on his farm! That's awesome

Everyone's Michael Deeley's old friend/good friend. I read his book years ago - worth a read. He produced two of my favourite films, Bladerunner, and The Deer Hunter.

You can find a cut that has a lot added as far as the cut stuff and touched up. There hasn’t been an official though. Ridley’s final is definitive
Watch for the White Dragon cut. The closest we’ll get.

Anyone else have trouble with these discs?
I bought the brand new DVD version of Blade Runner Final Cut THREE TIMES, and every one of the discs either played only once or twice before failing, or they didn't play at all.
One of them "Dangerous Days" plays about half way through before croaking.
Part one of one ... I had the disc before it stopped working. Goes it was past the inception date.
Ridley was clearly a pain in the ass during all the creative work. The price you have to pay for such a masterpiece

I don't think that narration helped it at the box office, it was cheesy and took away from the immersion and the mystery/ambiguity of the story. Everyone seems to like the director's and final, cuts
