- Just a ton of edits, some of the original/raw edits are pretty good and you can still spot them, i cleaned up as much as i could, didnt touch the color (this is blade runner :) but did adjust the brightness a little, i have to be careful how much i increase it because there can be a haze effect and thats too much, i think i hit the sweet spot as i thought it looked alot better, the edits turned out pretty good, there will be some dialogue lost here and there, but i did what i could to smooth this out, overall i am happy with it, hope you like! become a patron and support the channel ! www.patreon.com... for watching !!

40:54 I love Frank Darabont’s take here. There was more than one masterpiece released in 1982 and I loved that he didn’t compare The Thing, E.T. or Blade Runner. Each film a brilliant achievement.
Heart and soul, and so much attention to detail, so much Vangelis, and whoever made it is a huge gift for eternity to Brian Kelly (Flipper) and everyone else, thank you. What can I say, I'm over 60 years old today and my daughter smiles at me when I tell you what it was like to see Blade Runner in the cinema in 1982... Like tears in the rain...
Epic documentary
Far too ahead of its time, no wonder it's taken until recently to fully appreciate the Blade Runner vision.
When I stick this on, it still transports me to another world, can't even say how many times I've watched it. Film at it's best.
I know hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I wish they could have given Mr Scott whatever he wanted and just let him run free with this project.
Ford wad right, a masterpiece doesn't need a voice over.

It did . It was fine and wasn’t overlong.
For me it will always be my No1 movie of all times! An Epic masterpiece in my book. Never gets old, since I saw the premiere of Bladerunner in an open air movie Theater back in time! Was just a teen at the time, but it had a big impression and effect on me, and still watch it, at least a couple of times every year!....and still get tears in my eyes, when Roy does the monologue and releases the white dove! Cause it is actually true......All moments in time....will be lost..like tears in rain, when we reach our end of existence and take our final breath.
Ebert be damned. I loved the movie! The feel of it, the tempo, the darkness, the sets, the rain, the weapons and vehicles, the clothing, and of course the music! Too bad Harrison Ford turned out to such a schmuck.
Ebert eventually came around.

A great (probably the best) documentary about the back stage trials and tribulations of film making.
Available in it entirety with the "Final Cut" edition of Blade Runner.
Unfortunately, Blade Runner: The Final Cut was published using defective discs and may not work after only 1 or 2 viewings.
I love this classic sci-fi movie. I love it with Harrison's V.O. (voiceover) narration, it sparkles. Brilliant. Like Bogart's Sam Spade in THE MALTESE FALCON (WB, 1941). It sings! It captivates the audience. The mixture of this superb cocktail of excellent writing, Ridley's direction, the actors, the characters, the scenery (production design and art direction), the sets, the props (Syd Mead's invaluable Spinner and other vehicles), and the incredibly spectacular special visual effects by genius Doug Trumbull and his crackling crew, the pyrotechnics, the technology, and the awe-inspiring synthesizer music score of Vangelis - it all works as a superb concoction for viewers (although not recommended for children); it all works brilliantly, like MGM's classics FORBIDDEN PLANET and 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY.
One day people will Love this film.

Perfect movie .
The final director's cut is one of the great films. Godfather 2 and Clockwork and Citizen Kane are also quite good. And Metropolis. Apocalypse Now. The Conversation. Anything by Kubrick. Blade Runner has good company.
I think the voiceover is necessary. I have talked with people who watched The Directors Cut and came away clueless as to what it was all about.
And for me personally the voiceover reinforces the film noir feel and I love it.

100% agree the voice over adds an extra human element and the fact Ford hated doing it comes across in the performance but so what? It helps, he sounds worn down and tired and exausted by this toxic world. Would love to see the voice over added back to later cuts.

@@egokillerband I concur. Harrison notwithstanding, his character Deckard comes through stronger with the voiceover, and Ford's voice itself resonates with the film story.
Joanna Cassidy will be 90 and still will be hot as hell...

I didn't like the way they treated Pris and Zora, and Ford and Young had ZERO! chemistry. The ending was ridiculous and not believable. The movie itself though is stunnimgly made, every detail as such, and the music is just fenomenal.
True , Ford n Young didn't have much chemistry; but should they have of ??? I mean she was a synthetic human oid , and Ford played a ruthless bounty hunter. Not a great stretch to understand why the two wouldn't be the romantic match in heaven
