Listen to all of that infinite knowledge of the Forerunners. The strange animals flying in the sky. The dust storm brewing on the Ark. Halo 3 truly has some of the best ambience.
I love the moments like the one starting at 4:14 where you can hear them trying to hum the Halo menu theme. It's like it was supposed to be sung, but they're just locked away.
Think the deep humming noise is mendicant bias? Mendicant Bias is, in my opinion, one of the most mysterious characters in all of Halo. His history is legend, but his presence is felt and observed in Halo 2 during the battle in high charity, and again all over the ark. Parts of his core were reunited in the systems of the ark when the Covenant arrived in 2552. I think he we have a HUGE part to play in Halo 6. Especially if the "logic plague" hypothesis is accurate.
Loving the halo choir going on. If you actually play on the map yourself... all of the choir pieces eventually fit together as the whole halo choir theme. I figured this out just by making a map and it kind of gave me the chills when I heard it.
I've been meaning to re upload this one, as well as the rest of my Halo 3 Ambiances, the one's that are zoomed in anyway. This kind of took off faster than I could keep up Ha, Ha!
+Ambience Cavern HD One of my favorites! The story behind this map is creepy to say the least and the random Blood Splatter doesn't help matters either.
@@seanjohnson3401 I think I remember some forerunner maps having stains of some sort in certain places in them. I really don’t know what they are. I guess I’ve always assumed them to be combat damage from past battles.
What the hell??? I was literally searching up games to feel nostalgic about this map and here I stumble upon the perfect video. We all think alike man !! O7-Realesded of reach !!
This is part of something I had intended to do on the game's seventh birthday but never got around to it (should still do it). There is no good quality 'multiplayer soundtrack' in existence, but there are many clips people have taken of varying quality. I thought it'd be nice to boot up every map without a weapon or time using the VGA adapter for the 360 for direct stereo output via RCA (along with microphone recordings of the backing channels with optical/5.1) and record/mix it all together on my reel to reel as a single high quality series of stereo recordings of each section of every map in the game. Would release it both FLAC and MP3 as a five hour compilation in honor of the (now dead) Bungie's fantastic sound design.

Sounds like Halo 2's Finale 1:25 mark to my ears.
@@bloodgulchpatrick I believe you're right, I can hear it.
@@bloodgulchpatrick Set the speed to x2. It’s pieces of that song all across the map’s ambiance.
I love this. You guys are great
i love the ambiance of epitaph. gives a sort of vibe that it was where monks would have been long ago.
Red Raptor X fourunner monks
Well that’s certainly going to be a difficult structure for the flood to access....not impossible, but difficult, and I believe that was its purpose.

If you mean Halo 6 you now mean Halo Infinite

Glad to know I’m not the only 1 who heard it
This is some sort of horror game soundscape. I like it! Especially the deep pattern of the soundtrack.

what's the back story?
+VINTAGE SEP "random blood splatter"?

Fun fact that glowing projection is Bungies version of the Guardians
it would've been interesting to see that in halo 5
The better version*
Honestly I think I like this version more. It looks like they’re trying too hard redesigning them in 5.
It is offensive bias
I love it
Love you content man:(
Epitaph ambience and the faint beautiful sound of a fusion coil!
The ambience music for this map was fucking amazing
This kinda...soothing
After 14 years, now we know this is the tomb of mendicant bias, guarded by offensive bias

Rod Jonse do it
I want to still though the Halo audience (the actual one) is a bit dead if you haven't noticed.
Rod Jonse sadly rip halo community
Uhhhh yes! You gotta record the sound design from each map. Glad im not the only one who appreciates the hard work Bungie put into their maps.
fun fact: that sound is actually the souls of all the noobs i wrecked on that map in Lone Wolves back in the day.
Gonna need a 10 hour ASMR of this
Offensive over Mendicant. Forever it shall stand
I think I once saw a clip where someone managed to get that floating platform in the center to fall. I’m not sure how that is even possible.
sublime
My favorite.
I hope to see you make some videos like this for Halo Infinite. I explored around the maps during the beta and the ambiance was top notch
Fun fact, many of the Halo 3 maps (including Epitaph) were inspired by Frank Herbert's Dune series
What a channel
-This give me, memories, im play this map of the game for this ambiental music. I like it! This... "Part of the Game"... 😉 Miss play Halo 3!!!! 😭😘
When I sleep to this i feel at peace 😌
Only good thing about this map was the ambient noise.
