Making leather armor is super inefficient, make excessive crossbows which has the highest gold per resource value with optimal speed and sell off what you have extra to buy leather. Save on working population to feed and boosts your ability to get troops built in short term and long term gold production. Love the game play

A nurse recommended me this game in 2007, hooked on it ever since. I was literally bored and haven't played the game in like forever and just searched if it had a competitive scene and was introduced to this video. Nostalgia came back real hard

One thing that makes this game more interesting for me is, the trees can growing up. So i purposely letting them grow even until it spread through the entire map🤣 i waste so much time waiting for that
Is this Game Ranger playing^^. I was Nr. 5 of the official Stronghold Crusader worldrankings back in the real GameSpy times, playing for GoC on Tournaments. It's easy on this map, cause you got so much ressources, these are too much ressources for a 1vs1 game^^. On the official 1vs1 playing map you only got 1 stonemine, 1 oremine and farmland for any 8 farms max.. To get money with these ressources is too easy, you have to get money by right taxation (you needed a lot of inns, increased contentment of population +8 for taxation) or making armour. And so you got no real fortress around your economy with strong defense on towers the game would have been lost in 10 min... A good start after 20 min. no rush with low ressources was for example something like 1200 horse archers with enough shields within. You needed enough money and population. Close to the end of no rush you stopped your complete economy to get all population for your army and then started economy again to get the population and money back while fighting the first time with the opponent. To increase the population you have to build water pots or mills, more than 100 with people by to get that big population after no rush. One mistake and your economy crushed down and the population decreased so fast, game lost^^. But this game is ok, a few tipps^^, use crossbows instead of archers on towers and allways make a lot lot lot of horse archers, horse archers is the most important unit for Stronghold Crusader. And money is the first thing you need, not food^^. And so the opponent got no fortress^^, attack with horse archers and shoot down the population and over. An easy working tactic allways is, defend your attacking catapults and shoot all buildings down^^, but against many many horse archers and sage defense you don't get your catas in position. Gl hf

For me it's the best when you can use everything, so that everyone can use their own strategy, if they have one of course. (ofc, no bugs allowed)
The thing that misses in Stronghold is AI that can build a castle so you can play vs a computer. Still one of the best games I build levels that are great fun.
Ik it's your personality, but if you throw in some more energy in, I'd definitely watch you more. I'm not trying to hate either. Just giving you advice. Also, you might be more efficient in Crusader if you get more spacing into your buildings. And go a little less heavy on the wood and population as well lol. The greatest Age of Empires players know not to que too many units at once -and the same rules apply here -work into it and buy/build as you need and your eco may be more balanced.
I enjoy this game, but the manner in which you play has me yelling at the screen. SELL THE 1600 WOOD!! You tend to frequently OVERDO many buildings....you need to manage your empire better....

Stronghold crusader extreme should have been different. They should have increased the map size by 10 and made the enemy AIs more powerful and adaptive resulting in huge endless battles
My only troops: For defense: 100 crossbowman and a balista in one round tower. For offense: 10 catapult, 150 horse archer, and 25 swordman. I always win, and sometimes without losing any single army.
Which one of them? It seems to me like both of them are arrogant, one towards Sergiu, and another towards his audience, acting like some kind of expert, but knowing so little about Crusader in actuality.

He should have spend his resources in crossbowmen completely to build up a unbreakable defense and then attack with pikemen and maybe slaves to burn the settlement(you cannot call it a castle). But he also could have won with just a few more assassins...
You made a crime in gamers history first never ever waste your green land as you need it for food second the infinity resources are stone , food , iron only so short your usage for other stuff . Third( optional ) make your people happy to earn massive gold from tax or make them sad but much food to make it balanced . Fourth never ever start a game and you didn't build walls at start after selling some to earn gold for better start .

Even with knights only, the opponent could destroy the armory early and kill peasants then roam freely.

I just download it few days ago..I didn’t know about economy system or understand everything in this game but i enjoy playing it for fun..
