- Officers catch an aggressive man attempting to provoke an injured suspect sat beside him. After he refuses to cooperate, officers place the aggressive suspect in an isolation cell for the safety of the other inmates. Elsewhere, processing two intoxicated band members becomes an interesting task as they struggle to listen to instruction.
Jail is an American documentary reality television series that follows suspects in custody from booking through to incarceration. The show documents events in different jails across the U.S. Jail is the sister show to Cops, a show that follows police officers on patrol.

"Do you think attitude has anything to do with this?" That's not an excuse for her mother hitting her if she's telling the truth.
Most times in a domestic situation that police have to attend they will arrest the male if its husband/BF vs wife/GF regardless of what happened unless the situation is very clearly the woman is to blame. When it comes to adult kids arguing with parents the police will generally arrest the adult child because they do not want to be arresting OAP's. Most time alcohol is involved and its a simple case of taking them to sober up and end the argument. IF I was a judge however and I had the same man or woman in front of me for domestic violence on at least 3 occasions I would blast them with a 10 year restraining order basically ending a toxic relationship because human beings in relationships cannot seem to walk away from toxicity

Imagine being such a sociopath that you could work a job where you kept people prisoners and enjoy every moment of it! Most people in jail don't deserve to be there. Its just a convenient money making scheme to drain poor people even more! Imagine you have a drug problem. You don't have it for no reason or because your life is wonderful. This whole process is almost unnecessary... I don't have any respect for any of these police, none whatsoever! Even the good ones are guilty by association. Many of these people shouldn't be arrested and thrown in jail to have a record that follows them forever. It actually creates a crazy cycle that most people will never be able to exit!

Most of these don’t need jail time, they need a rehabilitation center. The justice system should offer this as an alternative to jail or prison time.
You want the system to send a cab, hold their hand and buy them lunch? They can do this....they can take care of their selves with the energy they use to get high and cause trouble and commit crimes.

Have to confess Im not a fan of that guard - she is pretty patronising and is obviously asking for people’s story for the camera - she has no right to be asking for people to tell them ‘their side of things’ like she has any sway over what happens to them. She voices her judgement over too many people when she it is not her place to do so and she blatantly has very little life experience when she makes comments like that. Saying ‘but she’s your mother’ and ‘do you think attitude has anything to do with it’ are very immature comments. She needs to keep her condescending attitude to herself!

It was a TV show and majority of the audience loves to hear the back story to the situation, which is likely why it is asked. SMH The arrestee has the choice to answer or not, I have not heard once Nicole tell them they have to tell her. As far as words like condescending and patronizing, which imply she is showing some superiority over them, I don't see that. I see someone in a position of wanting to help others to self reflect on the choices they are making rather then blaming everyone but themselves, which incase you have not noticed in these episodes, rarely do any take accountability for their actions which lead to the situation, a common human failure we all suffer from. If these shows were not so old I would say Go Nicole Go, but she has probably long moved on to something else in life.

It amazes me when inmates think they "run" anything in jail or think their "crimes" are "brag" worthy.
Trust me, there are inmates that have power, especially in prison, as opposed to jail. If people admire your crimes, they can definitely be "brag-worthy",

Can't say I agree with the female officer as to what she said about the young woman living with her mom. I too live with my mom who is 84 yrs... "I" chose to move back in with her to help her out with things she can no longer do. We don't always get along but she's my mom. I've given up my freedom to help her out. I do it because I love her.
She may have a great relationship with her mother and simply doesn’t understand that some moms aren’t so great. Living with her or not, her mother doesn’t get to hit her or throw things at her. Maybe the editing left something out and we aren’t getting the whole picture.
So totally different situation, you are helping your mom, which I admire you for, but this case the mom is helping her so not sure of your point. I think Nicole's point is the daughter needs to do some self evaluation, no parent is perfect and if Mom threw a phone, that was not good but the daughter needs to focus on what likely prompted that, I think the question Nicole asked later really hit home, hence the tears, the daughter is so focused on a mistake her mom may have made rather then self reflection. Given Nicole deals with this stuff so much I tend to thing she has some rationale for thinking this.
