@@MZPOOH3056 um yes it is.. co's communicate via written and or oral reports that the DA and judge can access. Unless shes talking to her lawyer her speech isnt protected whatsoever. There was a specific case in which a murderer was, i believe preparing for a re trial in prison or in jail during preparation for the trial and.. actually he was pleading his punishment phase. He was already convicted and the decision of execution or life without was being decided. Before he gave his testimony he told a co "watch this youre gonna see the acting performance of a lifetime" something to that effect (actually the documentary is here on UA-cam called "gladiator days" i believe) and he put on a weeping testimony that apparently was believable, if not for the co's information to the judge. He relayed the info. The man was sentenced to death by that info alone as the deciding factor. Theres several instances just from jail and prison documentaries were co's and jail, prison staff communicate with law enforcement, including DA's etc. Why wouldnt they? Lol. The jails and prisons arent on an inmates side lol. Theres an obvious symbiotic relationship in which information flow helps investigations inside and outside. Co's are law enforcement as much as a cop. Do cops write reports and pass info if you choose to speak and incriminate yourself? Absolutely! Why wouldnt another officer for a jail or prison not do the exact same? You know phone calls are monitored and used against you as well right? Lol.

Yeah, I can't imagine living in a family like that. I mean, I grew up part of the working poor class of society but what saved my family from being lumped into "white trash" was that my mother was born into the middle class and had some pretty high standards for her kids. She also was a tough mom and didn't try to be our friend. She loved each of us kids very, very much but didn't let us get away with much. LOL She told all of us "if you land in jail, don't call me because I'm not going to bail you out" and meant it. The time my brother DID land in jail (stupid teenager stuff), the corrections folks called her to come bail her son but she told them to leave him where he was until he learned to not do stuff that'd land him in jail. LOL He was in there for about four days, I think, in with the drunks. They didn't have juvie back then where we lived. Small town, small jail, small police force, etc. Scared him back to the straight and narrow.

The Jailhouse make-up is how most of women everywhere do it. Just because (I've done it too) they/we/I create some "make-up" in Jail, doesn't mean their specifically wearing it "for someone". After being in Jail for some time, women start to feel like a scrub, or even depression. You feel like your losing touch with your femininity AND with the REAL World.
To uplift their spirits, they put a little make-up on. It's a mixture between boredom and feeling better about ourselves.
I ALWAYS kept myself up in Jail, keeping myself shaved (legs underarms, and below), my eyebrows sharp, even though no one was going to be touching me or going anywhere.
It's ALL about keeping ourselves feeling like a Woman and not allowing Jail or Prison to what little dignity we do have left.

I even took a field trip with my mom to Atlanta to score pills.
One reason I resent my mother is that she had drug addicts barging into my bedroom, she let drug addicts sleep on my bed or on the living room floor..
She's one of those who cared more for her boyfriennd than her kids.

I’m so sorry you had to go thru that. I got addicted to pills after having severe gallstones when my son was 6 months old. I vowed to not let him ever see me get to that point so I went to rehab and missed his first real Christmas when he was 1. I was a functioning addict and still working, so I hadn’t burned all my bridges with my family yet and was very lucky to have their support. My sister took care of my son for the entire time I was gone. Knowing he was safe and happy helped me focus on healing myself. He is now 14 and that’s the only time we’ve been apart from each other. He doesn’t know my past yet, but it is something I will tell him soon. It breaks my heart hearing what you went thru because that so easily could be my son. I just wish your mother was able to get the help I was. Opiates are so different then they were back then. So many of us were affected and it still affects many generations later. I wish I could give you a hug. I hope things have gotten better.

The rule is “no makeup when you come to work”. She’s obviously a Trustee, allowed more freedom and cleans for the privilege. She even said she wasn’t supposed to work which is why she applied the makeup ( no lead of course). Rules may sound silly but it’s a rule. Many of these folks really struggle with limitations. I think this one is probably to maintain decorum between the male and female detainees. I thought the cop was actually being pretty good humored about it. He didn’t even write her up.

Even though y'all said there's a inclosed fence all around them, it still matters in my opinion. They might not get far like y'all said but it's the fact of the matter. I believe that's what cops are supposed to do anyways, shut the door before letting the inmate out. That's what happened when I use to go to jail. The garage door was shut before I got out.
