UNITED STATES MARINE: (From Boy to Man/Husband/Father, to Grandfather)
50 years ago was my (3rd) third Non-Violent/Victimless DUI ... (Simple pullover arrests!)
All offenses were VOID OF VICTIM, INCIDENT, ACCIDENT, and DAMAGED PARTY.
After serving (6) years as a front-line Marine during the Iranian crisis (1979), (Before having a wife, children, and grandchildren) returning to civilian life (Honorable Discharge) was difficult...
Can the Bruen decision help this 67-year-old United States Marine regain his gun right for family and home protection after 50 defenseless prohibited years?
When DUI arrests have NO victim, NO incident, NO accident, and NO damaged party, the 2nd Amendment "Right/Privilege" should never be "eternally abrogated", ever!
    - USMC (Semper Fidelis) SGT E-5 (5811)

Your status as Marine veteran means absolutely nothing when you violate the law. It's not a reason for some kind of legal pardon. Not once but per your own admission, 3 times you were arrested and convicted of DWI/DUI. The fact that by the grace of God, no one was injured or worse doesn't negate the fact that your behavior COULD have resulted in the same. Not once, but 3 times. You are lucky that you didn't cause injury or worse. Otherwise, you'd likely be in prison. So you can't legally possess or carry a firearm. That's on you sir. I'm a veteran and still honor my oath. I'm 60 and been driving since I was 16, and with the exception of 1 ticket each for expired brake tag, and no seat belt, I have a perfect driving & legal record. If anything, we are expected to set an example. You Sir, did not, as the Marine hymn goes, "keep your honor clean." So man up and quit crying about it on every YT TV story about Louisiana permitless concealed carry. And though I'm sure it would mean nothing to you, my civilian and military careers were ended by a drunk driver. Not to mention living in chronic pain.
