As a user of Uber and bolt in Kenya I realized that the reason the drivers call to ask where you are going and where you are is because the apps tend to be jumpy especially bolt they get thrown off by the apps locator and get frustrated, they also end up incurring high costs if they don't use short cuts which the apps don't show the apps tend to take them the other way around so bolt and Uber need to update the apps regularly so that the drivers can rely on them fully.
Hi Jasmine. you made a good video on Tigoni. This is a village owned and occupied by some of the wealthiest Kenyans and was previously home of whites only during the colonial times. The Kenyans who took over after independence maintained the structures and mannerisms of the whites. As for the greenery, Nairobi area and its environs was actually a forest (Karura forest), all the way up to the railway station. It was cleared to pave way for settling the guys building the Kenya - Uganda railway towards the end of the 19th century. Thanks for promoting our country and county.
Glad you visited and enjoyed Tigoni,Kiambu but am gonna correct your description of the place as a village. This part of Tigoni is an upper class, high value area amidst lush tea farms/plantations. Tigoni village, just after Banana Hill town, (as driver answered your query )is the actual village of ordinary rural folk, just about where your driver got lost! Watching the video, it was clear even before you announced getting lost, that you were on the wrong track! Tigoni, being in the Kenyan central highland,is cool/cold depending on the time of year.
Thank you for highlighting Tigoni. You got lost on Birthday Road which leads to our home and is also the back route to Brackenhurst where you went to Muna Cafe...You only saw a very small fraction of Brackenhurst. You must come back! Welcome back to Kenya Ama 💛

Love the green surroundings I drink lots of tea but never saw any tea sold in Canada that came from Kenya. I am enjoying your videos of Kenya. As a Ghanaian would you say Kenya is further ahead of Ghana with infrastructure, Wifi and technology. ❤❤
@@JasmineAmaa Whereas your statement is correct, there has been a concerted effort in the last twenty years to improve infrastructure well beyond that which caters to tourists. There have been many tarmacked roads all over the country (remote or otherwise) ; fiber optics for internet all across the country; a robust telecommunication network; widespread distribution of electricity; and a revamped railway system, which includes the SGR railway that will take you to Mombasa. While some of the progress was implemented and or started before 2010, I credit the new constitution for making it possible. The last two presidents were also keen on moving us forward, their shortcomings not withstanding.
@JasmineAmaa You are being diplomatic to protect yourself. I will say it for you: Kenya is on top infrastructurally, technologically, and wifi. You have to protect yourself from Ghanaians who will fight you if you dare admit it.
Alot of tea people drink in western countries is from Kenya. They just repackage it and add other ingredient and name it something else. Just a way of making more money for them and attracting different consumers that looks for certain “ brands”.

@@NK_AGYEPONG Nope. I'm Kenyan and i know what i'm talking about. Even those urban areas were developed in forested areas. There's a whole eastern part of Nairobi which is almost like a desert. Kenya plants about the same number of trees as any other country.

@@yerfillinois8254Tigoni Village, in Kiambu County, Kenya. It’s 25 minutes drive from Nairobi city.
Tigoni is my rural home, nice to see how much you appreciate the place, karibu tena.
Your choice today is stunning, Brackenhurst is a real gem. You really soaked in completely. Will share so many other places you can visit in your next visit here in Kenya. Cheers!
Jasmine, Karibu Kenya and Tigoni is beautiful
ABOVE ALL, WHAT BETTER INDIVIDUAL TO CARRY KENYA’S FLAG AND SHOWCASE OUR COUNTRY TO THE WORLD . NONE BETTER THAN JASMINE AMA- AFRICA’S FAVORITE VLOGGER
It seems like you had a wonderful time. I went to St Paul’s University, roughly a kilometer away from Tigoni. I can confess that Tigoni is a gem.
But some unethical property developers have started invading the tea zones for commercial development
Quite saddening
I love your taste in fashion it's brilliant
Oh thank you! Xx
Stunning scenery!! Who wouldn't want to wake up every day in Tigoni??
That place is beautiful. Kindness goes a long way, love how you appreciated your driver. Keep up the great work.
You just made me change my mind about living in the city. My village here I come, 380 KM west of Nairobi Capital.
Ghana I hope you are ready for this, your girl has fallen in love with Kenya already.
Hi Jasmine. you made a good video on Tigoni.
Awhhh..
I love this!
Thanks for visiting Kenya 🇰🇪
Yeah...not just a village. Very few people can afford to live there.
Tigoni is a beautiful village. I watched this video clip again.
I’m glad you highlighted this. They went to Brackenhurst.
Thanks for showing the world the other side of Africa. I love your content.
Appreciate it xx
It has been a beautiful seenry. I have never seen that part of Kenya. Thanks J
Thank you for highlighting Tigoni. You got lost on Birthday Road which leads to our home and is also the back route to Brackenhurst where you went to Muna Cafe...You only saw a very small fraction of Brackenhurst. You must come back! Welcome back to Kenya Ama 💛
What is Brakenhurst known for?
@@Mianzi-bloomBrakenhurst was the country home of the British Governor who governed Kenya on behalf of the British monarch during colonial era.
And we need to change from a colonized name “Brakenhurst” to our indigenous African name.
@@douglaswamburu2920 oh ok. Thanks for responding. I did not know that part of history. Back in the day it was a popular retreat center for church groups.
Are you Ghanaian Nkrumah is a Ghanaian name
Great job. You out did yourself with this one. The music selection was perfect and in the right places. I was moved in the video. You are like fine wine. Your videos are getting so much better with time. Quality, quality, quality. Love it!
Appreciate u ❤️
Thank you for giving a positive image to my country kenya, but more of your down to earth attitude and definitely you're a wonderful human being.
As beautiful as Fairmont Mt. Kenya Safari Club in Nanyuki. The history of the latter is like a story from a crime thriller. One of the best places anyone can visit in Kenya.
What’s the story?
this just makes me love my country more ❤❤❤❤❤aaaaah I love it😊
Hi Jasmine. U did were girl. U are real good as a human. Well done girl. I love the way you invited the driver. It shows me how you real and real care about our people. Kenya is beautiful and Africa is in general. Try Ug. Am from there but in London now. I can't wait to go back home forever. Enjoy your break in the East. Kalibu.
Jasmine thanks for the good vibe about Kenya... You sold the country to the world like wow... I Love where you say... " This place is... Heaven" ❤❤❤
I wish you took the waiyaki way to limuru the views are epic!!! But thank you for showcasing our country
Wow, stunning environment.
Jasmine your eyes have seen the glory of the Lord.
Nuff respect.

Man ,tigoni does look wonderful 😅❤! I gotta get back to Kenya 🇰🇪, its been years since I've been there lol!
Brackenhurst in Tigoni. I vacationed there twice. It’s breathtaking. Some of the best memories of my life. We were a bunch of teenagers from Nairobi.

Welcome to Kenya and enjoy your stay. Karibu Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪
What i do really admire and proud of you Jasmine is that ur video is sending a strong massage of reminder to our African fellows that we should Admire embrace the wonders & beauties of our African Continent. Africa is totally blessed in many ways. Today's most Africans minds have has fallen under western trap of diminishing Africa to an extent we forget to see & acknowledge the blessing of God to us. Asante sana Jasmine ❤
Which led to the African brain drain 😢😮
This is the Kind of comments that I like on such Vlogs from a Kenyan as opposed to many stupid self-praising competition that comes from many Kenyan commenters that turns every video to a contest between countries.
@@patricknjogu2962 Bana! There a bunch of our fellow Kenyans in these videos I wish I could just press the delete button on because they're making us all look bad, and the thing is, they think they're 'defending our country'. Terrible people.
Yes Jasmine, Stunningly Beautiful you are indeed. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Tigoni Limuru is about one of the coldest areas in Kenya, it can go all the way to 0 degrees! This is old money! You can see why the British took prevalence to this place. Karibu Nyumbani!❤
I love Kenya and the weather. I plan to move n live there. Beautiful country.
Brakenhurst... So beautiful, they changed the name? Anyway as a Kenyan, I never get tired of the cold weather.., that's all I know.. And the many trees and bushes, just perfect for me!!
Me too. I can't handle hot weather and hunididity. I love the cool climate.
It's very interesting watching Kenya from another person's eyes. Super fascinating
Definitely a well deserved follow...I'll be sure to catch up on some of your Ghanaian adventures and to more future videos. 🙏
Kiambu or Limuru Rd would have easier, quicker and more sinic that driving through Banana hill Rd, but never mind they all end up to your destination. ❤ If was in Kenya I would have joined you too I love it too.
Your next stop should be Tanzania and then to Rwanda
Love the green surroundings
I drink lots of tea but never saw any tea sold in Canada that came from Kenya. I am enjoying your videos of Kenya. As a Ghanaian would you say Kenya is further ahead of Ghana with infrastructure, Wifi and technology. ❤❤
Thank u ❤️ I think Kenya is advanced in tourism and things required to make it attractive for tourists. Very easy to get around and explore x
Kenya is at least 25 yrs ahead of Ghana as far as IT, industry and infrastructure.
New subscriber here. Jasmine you are such a beautiful soul Sis! Have a lovely and great time in Kenya🇰🇪
Thank you Jasmine for the beautiful work you're doing showcasing Kenya. Very friendly people and a beautiful country. It is actually relaxing listening to you and following your vlog. You just earned a subscriber. You are blessed!
Loving it Ama🔥 Africa is Soo beautiful 😍
You do find the gems don't you?
You Lake Naivasha vid would be smashing...or Lake Nakuru with all those pink 🦩 s....
Come to the lake region as well,we have got very scenic views here, highlands and lakes
Kenya is beautiful.
Kenya was a good place to live and work. Up to 1990s Kenyans never needed to migrate overseas unless for higher studies. BUT corruption took root. And we have seen Kenyans looking for greener pastures everywhere across the globe.
Ghana is tiling everywhere, Kenya is planting everywhere!
Wrong. What you are seeing here is a case of developing in forested area.
@@Mooseouma
I watched her trip all through town to the forested area and I know what I saw. The idea of afforestationin in Kenya 🇰🇪 is visible even in their urban areas. As a Ghanaian, what is unfortunately obvious, is that we keep going the opposite way
@@NK_AGYEPONG Nope. I'm Kenyan and i know what i'm talking about. Even those urban areas were developed in forested areas.
There's a whole eastern part of Nairobi which is almost like a desert.
Kenya plants about the same number of trees as any other country.
@@NK_AGYEPONG There are 3 forests and a national park within Nairobi, now. So it's not far fetched to think that Nairobi itself was developed in a forested area.
@@MooseoumaHe is right to some extent. Over the last few years kenyas forest cover has been increasing, maybe not noticeable in Nairobi but in the rural areas of Kenya. We exceeded the 10% forest cover target last year
