The ending also creates this triangular parallel/dyanmic with Lelouch, Suzaku, and CC’s initial desires and how they grew from them to this point. Suzaku and CC both acknowledge to each other how they’re similar in many ways, one of which is both sought to die viewing life either too painful(in Suzakus case) or meaningless (in CC’s) yet Lelouch who from the start wanted to live freely with his sister Nunnally ends up to be the one dying while Suzaku and CC both take on the roles of continuing to live on via their own free will and choice that Lelouch sacrificed his life for.

Well if I remember correctly director of the resurrection movie stated that Lelouch renaming himself to L.L was a proposal. So them being a romantic couple (at least in the movie time line) is I would say unarguable especially with the dramas after the movie.
Yea agree with this interpretation. Stronger feelings are implied both on screen and the written media. It also makes more sense given the later media to consider these earlier moments stronger.
If Kallen hadn’t appeared to try and kill Lelouch, we could of seen Lelouch & C.C. kiss, I’m sure of that based on how they looked and were walking slowly towards each other. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO RUIN THAT KALLEN😢??!!!

Of course she loves him, and so does he, apparently. They just didn't make it as obvious.
Lelouch fulfilled C.C.'s Geass and that's the only canon I'll accept 😂

How can Lelouch not ressucitate in the original anime timeline while being named after a christic title in arabic ?
Honestly, I think he did. They say officially “He died at the end of the show” well yes, he did. But that actually still doesn’t mean he didn’t revive in the original. He was alive in the original ending in the Japanese release. Still, he needed to “die” in order for his Code to activate. Therefore fulfilling his Christ like name.
Lelouch is completely dead in the og anime. He is only revived in the non canon alternate movie timeline@@marcusgotosleep4853
I think the writers confirming they’re not a romantic couple, only answers that exactly. Yeah, they’re canonically not a couple or dated, however they do have strong mutual and positive feelings which are implied.
They did confirm it, in the audio dramas for The Resurrection movie, CC says “I only like it when you touch me” in a romantic playful way. Idk why no one mentions this, they straight up confirmed it. On top of that they still confirm it in the Turkish bath audio drama.
@@marcusgotosleep4853 well thats just CCs playful antics and teasing, I mean we never outright got a confession moment or them actually dating thing to go by.
C.C. never ever before teased someone with that(sexual) way and after C.C. says "Beside , I do not touched by anyone else but you" Lelouch says " Y-you’re always quick to say things like that…!" Then C.C. says "I’m not lying though? Want to try to touch?" So, we understant that C.C. says these things usually but she never ever before said that to someone else until the end of Fukatsu no Lelouch and after that we now she only say these to Lelouch. Also , Goro Taniguchi says about to change of Lelouch's name is proposal. So, I think they are already couple but until to they confess each other it is not formal but I think they eventually confess and will be offically couple.
When the Fukkatu no Lelouch was released, the pamphlet said that Lelouch had proposed to C.C. (Scene where the name is changed to L.L /by Taniguchi) So they became canon
Because of this, I remember that there was a big uproar on Twitter in Japan at the time among people who were shipping ships related to Lelouch. (This film and C.C. received a lot of criticism from those who mainly released Suzaku × Lelouch and Lelouch × Shirley)
