I love watching your videos and seeing the creative colorways! If you ever get overloaded with fabric, you could consider making blankets. Some charities, homeless shelters and police forces accept donations of blankets for when people are dealing with trauma, even smaller sized ones for children.
I got recommended this video a few days ago and have spent the time since blazing through the rest of your content. I love to see what you're making and creative ways to use and combine yarn! I just got into rigid heddle weaving last week and I've dived all the way in since. I also thrift lots of yarn so using up bits and pieces is always a fun challenge!
I'm so happy you found the channel! Weaving is so much fun, but I felt really overwhelmed when I started, and I hope I can help other weavers figure out what they want to make. It's funny you mention thrifted yarn because one of the projects in my to-do list is a bag made of second hand yarn! Hopefully I'll get to it soon. 😁
I love your videos but when I saw your Venture brothers shirt in the opening comments part, I thought, this is my kind of weaver! Your opinions on yarns that are widely available is very valuable to me and many others, I’m sure. Keep it going. I’ll always watch.
Hello. I find your vidéos very intéressant. It lets us know about yarn we see all the time. It is fun to see the results also. I was wondering do you warp one ball and weave with another ball. And how long is the warp and what reed you use . Thank you.
Welcome to the channel! For this yarn, I warped with one whole skein plus just a little of the second skein, and then used the rest for the weft. The warp was 56" (1.4m) and I used an 8 dent reed. ☺️
Thank you! I basically used one full skein for each warp, and one partial skein for each weft. I think I got all of this webbing at Amazon. I'll add the link to the description. 😊
It's really fun! I generally spend about 3-4 hours weaving. The sewing varies depending on the style., but 2-4 hours would be a good estimate. (I weave a lot faster than I sew)

That's an excellent idea! I wondee if i could seam some scarves together to make donation blankets? I need to look into it, thanks!

Must say, I'm not normally a neons type of person, but that check is SO MUCH FUN!
I know what you mean! It's hard not to smile when you look at it. 😄

😁 Thanks so much! There's lots more coming for sure!
The retro stripe color way is one of my favorite yarns right now!
It definitely hits the nostalgia vibes for me! Thanks for the comment! 😊
from Gerry- Wow! So much eye candy. This really helps a lot. I appreciate all your effort for our benefit. God bless.
Thank you, I'm glad it was helpful!
I like the newsprint ones a lot!
That's nice to hear! Thanks!
I like the neon both warp and weft version.
It's an amazing colorway for sure! 😊
I love all of the bags!! Even the droopy one 😂. I pick up that yarn all the time and I haven’t come up with a project for it yet.
😁 I'm glad the droopy one has a fan!
@@magpieandmolly haha, yep. I think if you lined it and used some interfacing it would be stiffer. But I like it just the way it is….
I would love to see how it would turn out if you were using a pooling yarn...
Is there a yarn you have in mind?
@magpieandmolly red heart makes (made) a planned pooling yarn.

@@magpieandmolly thank you very much
Love them all, how much yarn was needed, and may I ask where you purchased your twill bands?

Aaaah this makes me want to learn weaving! How long does the average bag like this take you to do?
