Halo's shotgun is S tier. The range and spread and power are PERFECT. The only complaint is its pump action for a game set in the future not having semi-auto is fucking ridiculous. Also for the record sir , punching sharks in the face actually works.

“343 Guilty Spark” is one of the most impactful individual missions/levels in my video game life. The introduction of the flood was such an unexpected rush
Dude I love how you describe the flood. It's exactly how the majority of players felt the first time we all encountered the flood. We hit the wall and the game changes for the rest of the game.
What’s cool about the flood is when it came out it was way before cod zombies it was before swarm games. It was really one of the first times you had seen that in a video game and the sense of “we gotta get out of here, we’re out numbered” really was unsettling at the time as kids playing this game way back in the early 2000s lol
a cool little detail in 343 guilty Spark is that you can find a ledge with the dead bodies of Marines and Covenant Jackals surrounded with blood, and human and convenant weapons scattered around them...This means that the Humans and Jackals were so terrified of the flood that they agreed to put their differences aside and fight the Flood side by side till the very end.. such great environmental storytelling

I still remember it like it was yesterday though it was over almost so long ago. I was in my early 20s and had my original Xbox with the big ass “Duke” controller playing Halo. Just enjoying the game and hearing the music change and next thing I knew, the Flood was everywhere. That sense of wtf, confusion and knowing you were going to die. It’s great to see your reaction to it.
I love hearing new halo players stories when they run into the flood for the first time. Even halo vetrens like myself. STill fears the flood to this day, and I will never be ready for when Halo studios brings the flood back.

I've been playing in the ecosystem for 20 years n the games are just incredible and most people don't know,, because they are too biased to Sony and Nintendo to come find out how amazing!! the hardware and Game Pass n the features and the video games are amazing!!... Halos just the beginning!! No one understands the synergy of Halo with the equipment and the weapons in the world and the environment in the physics!! You don't get it nd understand, till you play it!! wait till Gears of War, fable and all the other amazing games in Game Pass... I've been playing the stalker series from the beginning cuz they have the trilogy now along with 2 that hit.. so many amazing games just finished wo long Fallen Dynasty, Dead Island 2, Callisto protocol and many others... but this is a joy to watch! somebody actually excited about Xbox like us passionate hardcore Xbox that been here from the beginning... so many great adventures and experiences to uncover. .. wait till you see the story of Marcus and Dom and Dom's family... the Xbox Community is one of the best communities to belong to we are just hardcore passionate gamers... you don't find as many casuals on Xbox and PC as you do on PlayStation.. don't get me wrong we all grew up with PlayStation as well they just eventually started becoming repetitive with that same old video game reskinned same genre over and over again.. and for many of us it got old.... on Xbox you could go from Age of Mythology retold which is one of the best RTS ever made along with Age of Empires to your favorite sports game then to some of the best RPGs ever made then onto a shooter over to a platform and then around to a metroidvania .. there's just so much on offer I recommend check out the Psychonauts series 1 and 2 you will not regret it you will have a giant smile on your face through both of the games!! Look forward to seeing more of your Xbox Journey you're just scratching the surface there is so much more!! I'm also new to Xbox. I just boght an xbox series x and I will get the masterchief collection. I'm really looking forward to playing halo. I also bought gears of war deluxe edition.
Just thinking about Halo2 has me smiling, if I was stuck on dessert island by myself there's lots of games I could pick and be happy, if it was with a gang Halo2 is the ONLY GAME. Such good memories.
I have so many vivid memories of ‘The Library’ section all in pitch black on the original Xbox - loads of Flood around you as you desperately wait for your torch light to recharge………………..
My favorite scene in “The Library” is thinking you experienced all that the flood can through at you and you get somewhat comfortable with them. And then the rocket launcher flood come out and kill you instantly. Like that the hell are those things able capable of. 😂

Watching your video's reminds me of the excitement me and my friends felt back in the day when we realized Halo is a survival horror game. The flood changed my life. You nailed the feeling of invinceablility that quickly turns to dread. It's nice to see you reacting the same way most of us did the moment we got that reality check. You nailed the "oh, we got this" and the "oh, sh!t we don't got this, run, run faster, sh!t wrong turn". It is so nice to relive these same moments through you all these years later. I remember all the same thoughts, all the same wonder as the game was building you and your ego up, just to sow confusion and doubt as you head towards that cutscene. It was pitch black in my apartment at the end of a long day of gaming on the Xbox launch day. And then the flood.... There are games in the series that i think perfected the formula, but halo ce was a masterpiece. They invented the modern fps control scheme, game loop, and had the storytelling as well.
Nothing prepares you for the moment you meet the flood, it's just pure gaming gold. Bro so glad your enjoying it, brings back a lot of fond memories for me the first time I played it 😁👌
😆 That's kinda similar to the way I'd would talk about video games. Great to hear a PlayStation fan enjoying Halo: Combat Evolved. It is an impressive Original Xbox title from 2001. I played it back in 2004, and it's exciting, as well as its environment and ambience. It's a great campaign, along with the other half of the game with the levels. Wait till you get to Halo 2, though, as the story is awesome. I remember playing that back in Easter 2005. I'd recommend playing the anniversary version as the cutscenes are more cinematic.
It's funny how you talk about your experiences in games. It reminds me of my stories when friends look at me with pity and wonder what I'm actually talking about. Incidentally, that's one of the moments from a computer game that I'll never forget and the reason why Halo is one of my all-time favourites alongside Quake 2.
Bwahahaha... Yes. That is *EXACTLY* what it was like the first time I ran up against The Flood. You go from Rambo to Shaggy (from Scooby Doo) so fast it makes your head spin. Then you're running for dear life trying to complete the level without getting killed. The end is *almost* in sight, you turn a corner and you're nose to nose with a flood spore carrier. And before you have time to utter "Oh sh*t" it promptly blows up killing you and spewing baby squidwards everywhere. Noooo...
Shotgun 4 life. But that's a huge part of Halos gameplay loop working so well is the two weapon limit always has you scanning the battlefield for the best combo.

for many many years from ps1 generation to now i just never gave xbox any of my attention, so all there big games i never payed any mind too, now i see what a fool i was and how much i missed out but its also brilliant being able to catch up on everything ive missed, sony exclusives do follow the same formula your right its something ive noticed too and while i enjoy the formula its a valid critique that they play to safe

I glad you having fun in the Halo series 😊. I wonder have you tried any Gears of War series yet? If you haven't yet it truly got a great story and unforgettable characters and combat. The first time using a chainsaw machine gun, make you just want to use it again and again. This is a spoiler but I got to see your reaction to a berserker for the first time. The screams from it would give you the best jump scare 😮 of you life. The best way to start with GOW ultimate edition in game pass.👍
Im living through your retelling of your encounter with the flood, im so glad you're enjoying the Halo franchise, it was a massive part of my childhood growing up and hearing you have so much fun with it like I did and still do makes me so happy that the halo formula and the bungie magic still works in 2024. Once you finish Halo 3 you should check out some of the Flood lore videos from Hidden Xperia and installation 00, there is so much to uncover and dive into in Halo lore! There is also an animated Halo movie called The Fall of Reach. and it dives into the Spartan 2 training programme (Movie night with the wife perhaps?👀) Book recommendations if you're a reader (In order) but read them after you finish Halo 5 :) Halo: Oblivion (Halo 4 story addons with some new cool lore!) Just thinking about Halo2 has me smiling, if I was stuck on dessert island by myself there's lots of games I could pick and be happy, if it was with a gang Halo2 is the ONLY GAME. Such good memories.

I have so many vivid memories of ‘The Library’ section all in pitch black on the original Xbox - loads of Flood around you as you desperately wait for your torch light to recharge………………..
My favorite scene in “The Library” is thinking you experienced all that the flood can through at you and you get somewhat comfortable with them. And then the rocket launcher flood come out and kill you instantly. Like that the hell are those things able capable of. 😂
Gosh what I would do to have that feeling of experiencing that for the first time again. Man talk about sweaty palms and late late nights with the brothers playing halo co-op/ multiplayer.

Watching your video's reminds me of the excitement me and my friends felt back in the day when we realized Halo is a survival horror game. The flood changed my life. You nailed the feeling of invinceablility that quickly turns to dread. It's nice to see you reacting the same way most of us did the moment we got that reality check. It is so nice to relive these same moments through you all these years later. I remember all the same thoughts, all the same wonder as the game was building you and your ego up, just to sow confusion and doubt as you head towards that cutscene. It was pitch black in my apartment at the end of a long day of gaming on the Xbox launch day. And then the flood....
There are games in the series that i think perfected the formula, but halo ce was a masterpiece. They invented the modern fps control scheme, game loop, and had the storytelling as well.
Nothing prepares you for the moment you meet the flood, it's just pure gaming gold. Bro so glad your enjoying it, brings back a lot of fond memories for me the first time I played it 😁👌

😆 That's kinda similar to the way I'd would talk about video games. Great to hear a PlayStation fan enjoying Halo: Combat Evolved. It is an impressive Original Xbox title from 2001. I played it back in 2004, and it's exciting, as well as its environment and ambience. It's a great campaign, along with the other half of the game with the levels. Wait till you get to Halo 2, though, as the story is awesome. I remember playing that back in Easter 2005. I'd recommend playing the anniversary version as the cutscenes are more cinematic.

It's funny how you talk about your experiences in games. It reminds me of my stories when friends look at me with pity and wonder what I'm actually talking about. Incidentally, that's one of the moments from a computer game that I'll never forget and the reason why Halo is one of my all-time favourites alongside Quake 2.

Bwahahaha... Yes. That is *EXACTLY* what it was like the first time I ran up against The Flood. You go from Rambo to Shaggy (from Scooby Doo) so fast it makes your head spin. Then you're running for dear life trying to complete the level without getting killed. The end is *almost* in sight, you turn a corner and you're nose to nose with a flood spore carrier. And before you have time to utter "Oh sh*t" it promptly blows up killing you and spewing baby squidwards everywhere. Noooo...
Oh gawd. The Flood. That is certainly a love/hate relationship for sure.

Shotgun 4 life. But that's a huge part of Halos gameplay loop working so well is the two weapon limit always has you scanning the battlefield for the best combo.

At the end of the day, I’m glad that you and your family are having fun and enjoying video games. With so much evil in the world it’s great to see someone so excited, happy and enthusiastic about something. They can track sales, exclusivity, year to date numbers but not smiles and happiness. for many many years from ps1 generation to now i just never gave xbox any of my attention, so all there big games i never payed any mind too, now i see what a fool i was and how much i missed out but its also brilliant being able to catch up on everything ive missed, sony exclusives do follow the same formula your right its something ive noticed too and while i enjoy the formula its a valid critique that they play to safe
The first time I encountered the Flood was one of my all time favorite moments in gaming.
Not knowing about the Flood and having it happen was one of the best parts of the game for me.
Back before influencers got games given to them early and they completely ruin it with reveal videos and how to's before you've even downloaded it. I miss the good old days of just playing and finding out for myself

I'll be the one to save us all!!!" dang bro, you should've definitely been involved in Halo, Halo 1 2 & 3 Rocked the world hard, so hard there should've been an earthquake all around the globe, imagine having this experience before seeing all of these improved graphics we have today, beyond mind blowing, I know it was for me, I went from playing Sonic Adventures straight into playing Halo, my God, I couldn't believe it man and the fact that I was watching Starship Troopers, Aliens and Predator at the same time as a 12 year old kid with a huge imagination made it even more crazy to me, when I first saw the Halo 2 trailer after beating Halo 1 30 odd times I jumped up & down until I almost fainted, I was 15 at the time, it was an unmatched experience to say the least, glad you made it, it's better late than never I say.🎮🕹✌️

I glad you having fun in the Halo series 😊. I wonder have you tried any Gears of War series yet? If you haven't yet it truly got a great story and unforgettable characters and combat. The first time using a chainsaw machine gun, make you just want to use it again and again. This is a spoiler but I got to see your reaction to a berserker for the first time. The screams from it would give you the best jump scare 😮 of you life. The best way to start with GOW ultimate edition in game pass.👍

Im living through your retelling of your encounter with the flood, im so glad you're enjoying the Halo franchise, it was a massive part of my childhood growing up and hearing you have so much fun with it like I did and still do makes me so happy that the halo formula and the bungie magic still works in 2024. Once you finish Halo 3 you should check out some of the Flood lore videos from Hidden Xperia and installation 00, there is so much to uncover and dive into in Halo lore!
There is also an animated Halo movie called The Fall of Reach. and it dives into the Spartan 2 training programme (Movie night with the wife perhaps?👀)
