    This feature is great even for pros... to be able to pause flight for any issues you might have on the ground.
    Im not in a rush to try it, but as soon as official release is out... I think I'll give it a go!

      Yeah anything can happen in the air regardless of skill levels so I do agree - it's great to have for all.
      I'll keep testing this as the development contuines but once it drops I'd highly recommend it.

    I kinda feel like this would be useful for landing, you could come down to a height you can reach, pause the quad, put your hand under the quad and disarm to do a hand catch similar to a mavic. Maybe one wouldn’t have to carry a helipad on their backpack.

      My pleasure, this feels pretty stable, so it can't be that far away, I do know there's a few bugs left hit overall it feels very mature.

    I just flick the angle mode😊

    • @squaddingquads
      @squaddingquads  13 годин тому

      And that definitely helps no questions, but this takes it up the next level

      You could combine altitude hold with angle mode, that should be super stable too

    A bit early for my personal taste, but I am excited to have these features. I'd recommend always making a configuration backup before doing firmware updates :) I finally got my quads configured for GPS Rescue, which I want to test out as soon as the weather cooperates.

      Your absolutely right buddy, I forget the backup point in this video.
      GPS rescue keeps getting better and better too, so you'll enjoy I'm sure.
      Fully respect the fact it's a bit early for you to try, I half expected a few issues but so far, so good.

    I noticed you did not select magnetometer for this setup on Betaflight. And just to confirm no magnetometer needed, just gps for this setup.

    • @squaddingquads
      @squaddingquads  12 годин тому

      A GPS with a magnetometer would be more accurate and would work better, but this GPS doesn't have one.

      @@squaddingquads yeah 😆 For now I can handle it using one of 3 pos. switch, because I use it between horizon and acro while landing to hand, so third pos. can be used to this new function :D Rest of buttons I use to buzzer, video transmision power level, arm, failsafe and potentiometer to changle led colors 😅 But one more feature and I'm stuck 🤣
