    They are both are a solid choice for a first time home theater set up. I have the Sonos Beam Gen 2 my parents got the Bose 600 bar. We both bought the bundle with the sub and satellite speakers. Both sound amazing, especially the surroundsound. Atmos sounds amazing on both. A minor advantage goes to Bose 600 with slightly more of a high channel but it’s not super accurate. Still gets more overhead sounds compared to the Beam Gen 2. Like I said, can’t go wrong with both choices. Both sound miles better to TV speakers. Gets you close to a theater sound set up. I was blown away the first time I heard my Sonos set up. Highly recommend one of these bundles with the sub and satellite speakers. Spend the extra money you won’t be disappointed.

    i went to test both sonos gen 2 and Bose 600 in bestbuy before I made my decision. I liked the bass from Sonos but it doesn't give me that clarity and crisp i noticed from Bose 600. So I decided to get the Bose 600, + surround speakers + the module 500 subwoofer and it didnt disappoint. The balance of the treble and bass is just perfect for me plus the clarity of the dialogue which I can adjust in centre speak of the soundbar (sonos doesn't have this feature yet). Its perfect when watching bass heavy movies OR just plain TV News. No need to lower the volume when you get those bass tone because of Bose True Space sound technology. It just moderates it and delivers when watching movies. Plus its Bose, cant go wrong with that.

    I bought the Bose full set up (base and satellite speakers) when I purchased my 86" Television, watching content that supports Dolby Atmos is next level cinematic immersion, the reason I opted for Bose instead of my usual Sony was the brand name, I have always associated the Bose brand name with quality products, my only experience with Sonos was using a small Bluetooth speaker at a BBQ, it was a great device but i wasnt willing to spend a large amount of money on an unknown so opted for the one I knew.

    Wow this review is fantastic ! 5minutes only but so concise and to the point. So many "comparison" videos on youtube are so unhelpful. Most of the time only comparing price, useability, etc. But at the end of the day, the biggest selling factor for ANY audio product SHOULD be sound ! When I was younger I used to love deep rich blasting bass but as i get older i started growing more appreciation for clarity and solid mid range. I already have a sonos wifi speaker in my room but I think I'll go with Bose simply because of the clarity, thanks !

    Just picked up a Bose 600 with the surround speakers and subwoofer 500. I also picked up the sonos beam gen 2 and the one SL’s for surrounds to compare. The Sonos took about 7-10 minutes to fully setup and it sounds phenomenal. The Bose however took about 4 hours to set up successfully and I can’t get it to play audio from HDMI earc, Bluetooth, or from the bose app even though the app says audio is playing.
    I’m going to return it and keep the Sonos. Bose made the decision easy on which one to keep.

    I bought the Sonos, but I didn't realise you can't just connect a bluray player straight into it, you have to go via the TV with e-arch, and my problem is that my LG TV doesn't support DTS sound which is on a LOT of blurays. Is it possible to connect a bluray player (mine is the Sony x700) straight into the Bose just for the audio? Or would I have the same issue. At the moment, any Dolby Atmos disks sound great on the Sonos, but any DTS master sound is getting squished out at PCM stereo which sounds poor.

    One thing that’s often ignored in these comparisons is the google integration of the Bose. It was mentioned here as a way to “play music from an android phone” but it’s more than that.
    You can pretty much match Sonos functionality via google home. It’s a multi-room audio solution with “speaker groups” and everything. I guess part of this equation is having other google speakers, or if you’re lucky, some chromecast audios.

    ABT Electronics, would love a comparison video between the Bose 600 and the JBL Multibeam. I currently have the multibeam, and it performs very well connected to my LG C255. But I would be interested to see if the extra money for the Bose 600 is worth the upgrade.....

    • @abtelectronics
      @abtelectronics  Рік тому

      @Dale Schofield At this time we don't carry the JBL Multibeam soundbar. If we wind up bringing it in we'll likely do a comparison with that one as well. The other JBL soundbars we do carry sound great, so it should compare well to the Smart Soundbar 600. The big advantage the Bose has is true Dolby Atmos vs Virtual Dolby Atmos on the JBL. The upward firing drivers on the Bose will provide a more immersive Atmos experience.

    • @abtelectronics

      @Storm L The adapter that comes with the Beam Gen 2 has a female HDMI connection on one end and a male optical connection on the other end. So you'd plug an HDMI into the soundbar, attach the adapter, and plug the optical connection into your TV.

    These are both small soundbars that are best aired with a smaller TV in a smaller room with the purpose of casual viewing and listening. In this setup, most people will want to get a soundbar to improve dialog clarity. The Sonos is a bit like Apple devices - following the latest trends and being in without being the most practical. As such, the Sonos opts for more base because that's what Gen-Z folks want - at the expense of dialog clarity. The Bose seems more purpose-built for the scenario in which it's most likely to be used.
