Of course it was degreased - how do you think the grime came off ? You're not as clever as you'd like to make out on your keyboard are you, you thick twat.
Have to get Kimberley to take you up Ashdowns and give Brynne a kick up the arse with his Track Marshall that he started pulling apart ;) . Love the videos keeping me busy watching them rather then outside looking at sorting my TD5 110 Cooling issue lol..
I have always enjoyed your videos your lordship and I really do have a great 👍 interest in classic farm equipment from the late sixties up until the mid nineties, and what you and your Glamorous assistant Kim are doing with those tracked vehicles is absolutely fantastic and I would like to sincerely suggest that you keep up that excellent work on those and any other vehicles that are out there for you to wave 👋 you magic hands over, and I hope 🤞 that yourself and Kim keep well and see you on the next video, Thanks again your lordship for bringing such interesting 🤔 material to the masses.
I wanted to start my Sunday off well, so I decided to make a nice tea early & sit down to watch the latest video on the db bulldozer. Something about old machines, the build quality is so good, not this diecast shit & sealed units , covered in endless electronic sensors that we all face to battle with on modern machines, oh yes, the dreaded computer too chucked in by some design knob who has always sat in an office !!! Anyway, good clear interesting film showing us all the stages of maintenance, nice to see the young lady on board with a definite interest in helping or should I say doing most of the work🤣🤣🤣
To think of all the years that it worked, then the time it sat there, it's running well!! Thanks again for sharing and can't wait to see it push some dirt!!
Lovin kim in the vids shes a great help . Cute too . Great to see the old brown running . Im a major db fan having driven many models over the years gd solid old machines . Hope ur keepin well kurt pls take care look after urself old boy .
Ooh Good arh! You've taken me back forty years to when we played with these things on a regular basis. You could buy the machines, and the parts quite cheaply from Jacob Foster's in Wombleton. Of course, they were ten-a-penny in those days. Brand new original parts were still available from Scaling & Son (DB main dealers) in Wigginton, just outside York. - Those were the days!
Excellent work LM, the old thing will be like a shiny penny soon enough. I very much approve of your new assistant ;) There’s nothing more awesome than a girl who knows her way round stuff. Keep up the sterling work.
Love what you are doing and I really hope you keep your beautiful helper in all your future videos!! Not only is she good help but she's a great site to see!! Carry on my good man!
You work to good method chap . Wouldn’t mind You two working on our kit . Don’t wish to sound like a teachers pet! But there are some muppets that think they know what they are doing when clearly they don’t! Keep them coming please. As we say down here in the West Country. Proper job boy ! (And lady)
It's funny how those that like to try and criticise normally haven't watched the vid completely or have the mechanically ability of a fucking water biscuit.
@@LordMuck Always been of the belief these projects are more rewarding when performed as a team effort so long as it is clearly understood, undisputed, just which of you is the team LEADER !.
Good thing you touched on there mucka was putting a drop of lube in the diesel. I was told that with this modern diesel it doesn't have the lubrication properties of the old stuff and advised every time we serviced the digger was to put a pint of hydraulic oil in a full tank of fuel to keep things lubed up...👍
Good interesting video .What a great workmate you have , Kim is very patient sitting in all that smoke . Kept hearing We but Kim seemed to be doing most of the work. All joking aside "great team work"
I've been subscribed for a while and watch and don't when I can and don't comment and I've been watching some of your older videos and enjoy you repair and get old equipment and tractors as being from Evesham (Worcester) and used to work on farms when younger old fords I used to drive I'm a welder fabricatior and work on my own cars and I envy you as I've never had a girlfriend help me with anything
A lot of folk didn't, but I always rated David brown stuff, .............Bonser used their 3 cyl in a forktruck - nigh indestructable (and did that place try 😒) and their 70's tractors had such a good range of gear ratios.
Hello from Georgia USA. I just found your channel, good stuff ! Suggestion on you degreaser. I found spray on oven cleaner cuts that old grease a treat. Spray on them wait 10 or 15 minutes and that old grease just washes off easy. Keep up the good work !
Here in the States we can get a really good ZEP brand Purple degreaser, even have it in 5 gallon tubs. You can dilute it and its still powerful . Wear gloves because it will take the first 10 layers of skin off your hands if you let it sit.
In need of a gasket on a weekend, I glued some milk box sides together with the "metal" outside.. They work surprisingly well🤪but I guess thats now new trick either. i
Job well done so far mucker you and Kim work well together don't disappoint her to much her face did drop a little when you said about more work on the Dozer before she could have a play on it, the way Kim works on a diesel engine she would put some men to sham.
Love your vids mucka, you definitely know what your doing and learn a lot from your vids, stay safe, hopefully see you George and Deano again one day loved them vids too, keep up the fantastic work.
Great vid again young man..... really underappreciated engines and to be fair the tractors themselves the old david brown..... iv worked on a few of the 885...990....996 aged tractors over the yrs.... they all have a small drain bung on the bottom of the diesel tank that you maybe wouldn't see if you weren't looking for it...👍....ps make sure you take that lady out for a meal and show you appreciate her....there will always be work to do and hassle but there won't always be a pretty lady prepared to get her hands dirty and help you do somthing you enjoy... make sure to make time for her...👍😊
There's no point relying on the drain hole unless you're taking the tank off as these older ones are baffled so just hold sludge so it's best to suck them out and swill them several times.
When you pulled the injectors made me think of an old John Deere I was working on one time. Customer broke the injector off in the head. He tried to screw it out. Had to pull the head off and drive it out from the bottom. Good times.
We cleaned the gauze, flushed some lines etc. We don't show everything because we've shown it before on previous videos and we have to get as much as possible into a fairly short amount of time.
I sure wish David Brown parts availability in the US was as good as it is for you in Europe. My 1200 Select-O-Matic needs alot of help after getting worked hard by a old farmer who neglected it then it got parked for several years before I bought it. Cosmetically it looks good but after putting it back to work I really was disappointed. Needs new lift pump, injectors cleaned, injector pump resealed, throttle and shutdown cables replaced, and I suspect it may have some broken or stuck piston rings. I'm trying not to use it much till I can get into it to see the extent of the problems.
Interesting to see. By the amount of crud in the filter would be worth taking of the dpa and strip and clean really set just front drive shafts seals and a gasket kit. There is a filter in the end plate of a dpa. Undo the 15/16. On the inlet and it's just inside it's a tube type gauze. Also the top of a dpa housing is the return and it's common to have that black crud in there too. Wondered where you are based who do you use for your repairs Attlebough fuel injection
Hi mate another fantastic video can you please help me with a question what is the shelf life of red diesel and dose it help to use diesel injection cleaner in old machines or does it damage them
You have better luck then me when it comes to this type of stuff, my southern cross diesel doesn't for the life of it want to build oil pressure and I have gone through the pump top to bottom, but I think there is something missing as I got in pieces don't know want though. Anyway that is a great dozer, they don't make things like they used too.
Great video,, my uncle had one of these, stored it for 30 years, never touched it, someone offered him £12000 for it, my uncle said no.. If I sell it he said then what will I replace it with...
I’ve seen some bad fuel filters before but that looked like the stuff you would expect to find in the bottom of a differential. Lol. Old girl idles like a sewing machine. 👌
Cold water power washing without degreasing first?
