Synopsis: When the members of an underwater research facility are under threat owing to a 75-foot prehistoric shark, Jonas Taylor, a deep-sea diver, is hired to save them. - Розваги
I’m a shark lover, so when I saw this in theaters with friends, I kept spilling Shark facts because I love how they actually portrayed the Meg that is basically just a normal shark.
For example, Sharks seeing the color yellow triggers then so that’s why it tried eating the tube cage
Same here. Also the eyes turning white when it felt danger (although that stab in the eye might've been a little unrealistic bcs of that lol)
@@natasa04tsats15 the more unrealistic part for me was how a swarm of sharks appeared and ate the Meg.
If a shark smells Shark blood, they flee because to them it means a predator able to kill one of them is a “nope” for them.
@@themysteriousredwarriorblo1662 oh right. Good observation i didn't notice that. Also the fact that there were so many sharks... Like okay it's the ocean and they swim fast but they would probably be too scared to go where other sharks are bcs of theit 6th sense and everything
The inaccurate part was Megalodon living in the cold dark deep sea. That wouldn’t work bc they are warm water sharks and there would not be enough food for them.
@@themysteriousredwarriorblo1662 Yeah, another part was how the shark looked, they portrayed it as a big white shark when it looked like a massive bull shark and was related the closest to longfin makos
I remember seeing this movie in the theaters, I genuinely enjoyed the film, wasn't something terribly groundbreaking or anything but a decent watch
I actually saw it in D-Box, which is so much fun
Nothing Is to you people anymore
@@prestonscott-mr1ie I mean to be fair I've never really been into Shark Movies that much
I still prefer Deep Blue Sea but Megladon was quite entertaining movie.
@@prestonscott-mr1ieBro what 💀
The Shallows with Blake Lively is a really good underrated shark film. It’s good fun and good suspense. Blake gives a great performance
Good writing? Yeah right👎.
just say you have a thing for blake
It was so good I enjoyed it and that was actually before I knew Blake lively so when I knew her and saw that she was in the shallows I was shocked on how I didn't see that was her m
Sooo good!
100% agree. That shark was vicious!
These movies strike two major chords within me: Claustrophobia and Thalassophobia
Whats Thalassophobia?
Sharkophobia
Fear of deep bodies of water. Just look up Thalassophobia images.@@Skull_Dozer
@@Skull_Dozerfear of deep large bodies of water like oceans & lakes
I have Thalassophobia😰
The thing that’s impressive about this movie is that The Meg itself wasn’t just CGI, it was a puppet too
The Meg is one of my favorite shark movies in my opinion. I really enjoy watching this.
Deep Blue Sea is great! You're gonna love it and I can't wait to see your reaction to it. Thanks for uploading-- always puts a smile on my face 😊
If you want to watch another shark movie, I'd recommend The Shallows. That film had me on edge
47 Meters Down is tense too
@@underweenieI also recommend shark tales
What's that movie where the couple is lost at sea, no lifeboats,
@@JohnLawUA-cam Adrift?
deep blue sea is also good movie
You’d think after watching so many movies/shows; the jump scares just wouldn’t phase you anymore because you’d expect them and know how to see them coming.
Fun Fact - they still and always get you.
You are completely right about Deep Blue Sea being a thing. You got Samuel L Jackson vs Sharks so defo watch that one. Past that you have films like The Shallows, Bait, Sharknado and 47 Meters Down that you could check out. Another great movie reaction though bro love to see it!
"The Shallows" is definitely a must watch indeed. I was tense throughout the entire film, although the ending was... Something, let's say 😂
Ain't no way you said sharknado
@@ZhaloSupercell1 sharknado's great turn your brain off entertainment
I agree but i also wanna include to watch the og of all, the jaws.that scarred for me for life why i have issues swimming in an open water & the Korean movie the host(it ain't shark tho but still lives in an open water)
@Ryuu CPM & Mashup YT not out yet. Cant recommend a film thats not out yet
I watched this movie in 3D in theaters! Enjoyed it a lot. i believe they're working on a sequel.
It took me a couple of times watching this movie before I noticed it but in the first subscene when they blow the hatch you can actually see the Meg who was attacking the submarine go in right as it explodes and you can see it blow up
The way I immediately pulled up my copy and watched the scene over and over until I finally saw it....
@@JennyAnn like I said it took me a few times as well LOL it finally caught on to my brain to focus on that scene when Jason Statham's character said that it got blown up in the explosion which is why there was no evidence
ty for mentioning this! i probably wouldn't have noticed otherwise lol such a cool detail
Great movie and a great book. Both are fun, even if they're different. If you liked this creature feature another underrated but scary fic is called Rogue. It's a crocodile movie that happens in Australia, and the crazy part is they made a fully functional crocodile animatronic that moved exactly like the real deal.
Rogue is a great little flic with lots of scares - and is not to be confused with the newer Rogue featuring Megan Fox and lions 😁
More people need to react to this movie thx for watching it
So glad that im not the only one that watched Heroes
10:29 ; that’s why I love watching Seb 😂
It was nice of this movie to point out the harm we cause to sharks as well.
Fun fact: meg was a real shark before its extic but some people says that it's still live
Look up Colin Drake a Marine Biologist that is actually studying Megalodons that has very compelling proof that they are real.
Yessss watch Deep Blue Sea, it’s amazing!!!!
Well now I wanna see Seb play Subnautica.
Also, mad respect to a fellow Ark player. I love that game.
You're comments and experience while watching these films always elevates the entertainment of the movies you watch. Thanks for putting your content out here for us.
Look up Colin Drake a Marine Biologist that is actually studying Megalodons that has very compelling proof that they are real.
Subbed ages ago but one thing you do that i love is get straight into the reaction. 21 seconds in and we are already in. Good shit ❤
2:13 hell yeah, man. I adore that game. Just started playing it again after a few years away. Such a cathartic game =]
this film was INSANEEE🤣🔥
Steve Alten wrote the multiple book series. The Meg 2 will be coming out as well do to the success of the first film. Part of what makes The Meg really terrifying in the books but is not explained in the film is that that shark could hear the heartbeat of the girl in the bunker and wanted to kill her by its instinct. This was also a 3D movie at the time of release.
Definitely recommend Deep Blue Sea. It’s one of my favorite shark movies.
I remember when this came out everyone hated it but I love it ❤
Your videos help make my heart feel better sometimes. 😅
2:45 bro the amount of great references you make in such a short time is awesome
respect! 👊
My dad and I LOVE shark movies. They're usually really funny, and it's always interesting to see the progression of CGI and effects and everything throughout the years. Some other fun ones I'd recommend are "47 Meters Down" and "47 Meters Down 2: Uncaged." Lots of jumpscares so be wary but they're definitely fun rides!
You should definitely watch Deep Blue Sea. Deep Blue Sea is probably the best shark movie after Jaws.
Love this! I used to be obsessed with sharks as a kid too and still kind of am lol. If you want to watch more shark movies I highly suggest 47 Meters Down or Deep Blue Sea. I hope you do more:)
Seb being more scared of what’s about to happen in this movie than all the horror movies he watched back in October 😂😂
Tbh this film surprised me because I thought it was going be absolutely horrifically bad on purpose and it was actually pretty good and certainly a very enjoyable watch for me 😊
I still remember watching and enjoying it and rarely getting scared because I am not afraid of shark movies like jaws. The Meg was a real shark btw. I was asking my parents on how big is was realistic and I was shocked on how big it actually was.
Jason said in a interview that there's gonna be a sequel. Also the meg is based on a book.
I would also recommend "The Ghost and the Darkness" and "Primeval"- both beast horrors with some truth in the story!
Ghost in the darkness was great
2% of the oceans floor has been mapped . Can’t imagine what’s down there in the 98% and the depths not discovered yet .
One of my favorite movies. Lots of unexpected moments, actual feels for the deaths, and the dog lives! My favorite part was the reveal they killed the wrong shark and there was an even bigger one out there
12:03 Agreed, I would probably also lose control of my bowel systems. That is my favorite line from you. It’s so hilarious.😂
A creature movie I watched when I was younger and have never forgotten is Lake Placid. Giant Crocodile.
The amount of times I’ve seen this movie… and the amount of times I’ve seen the office. And I NEVER realized that was freaking DWIGHT SHRUTE until he yelled “oh my god, Dwight!” when he fell off the back of the boat I’m-
I haven't seen this movie since it came out and I forgot how scary it was. It's a great movie. Yes, you should watch Deep Blue Sea because it's good too.
him saying to eat the kid and not the dog is so relatable
Can’t wait for Meg 2
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie and so glad you watched it! I think its a great first in a new franchise!
26:05 "Tell me, do you bleed" "You will"
This movie was so tension build. I loved the every minute of it man. 🤟🏻 Great reaction brother. ❤👌🏽
I know someone has already mentioned it, but Rogue is a fantastic creature feature too. Set in Australia, with a crocodile.
Look up Colin Drake a Marine Biologist that is actually studying Megalodons that has very compelling proof that they are real.
yes, Deep Blue Sea... Sam Jackson has the best role in the movie, but Thomas Jane, L.L. Cool Jay, and Saffron Burrows are pretty good too.
Absolutely loved this movie. It was exactly what I expected. A dumb fun giant shark movie with solid special effects.
It was confirmed that there will be a sequel to The Meg. I'm kinda excited
I love shark movies. This is one of my favorites. 😍🦈
😂 "25 meters.. that's like 50 of me!" Awww Seb.. you're so cute! ❤ Don't you mean that's like 12 of me? 😅😂
Another fantastic video Seb! keep it UPPP
9:20, my man went put like a G! 🎉
Saved all thier asses and had NO FEAR!!!
3:07 fun facts! we've discovered more of Mars than we have the ocean
My mom and I watched this in theatres with my mom when it cane out. We really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the sequel.
Deep Blue Sea is the second bets shark movie behind Jaws.
he really be clutching up when it’s time to eat
It was said that in Black Panther Wakanda Forever, Namor's throne was made up of a Meg's skull 😊😊
Thank you for making my day every time you upload
I'm obscenely excited to watch you react to this. 😂😂
Something about sebs videos are so entertaining
saw this in theatres and got to sit in one of those cool cineplex 4d chairs for the first time were it tosses you around and what not LOL
2:12 Fun Fact: Vin Diesel is actually on the dev team for Ark 2, is in the game, and has said he has thousands of hours in Ark
Seb I really like your movie reaction videos and I hope you have a good/great day!. ❤😊😁
The novels are interesting, I heard. Been meaning to get my hands on those. The Meg get to fight other prehistoric creatures and stuff! 🤘
Had to pause the reaction here at @2:16 because MATE I'm playing Ark right now while watching! LOL, agreed 10/10 game!
meg 2 is comin, excited for you to hopefully react!
Always enjoy ur vids so much man!🥰 Lookin 4d 2 this!👌 Much love from Australia mate xo 💚 🇦🇺
I love the show hereos! Currently re-binging season 3!
Seb: "Do I need to worry about jumpscares?"
Me: ...No. Nothing to worry about, It's just a giant prehistoric shark.
... Later ...
Seb: *Jumps screming from his chair*
Me: 😈
Awesome reaction, Seb, as always.
Thanks for sharing your awesome and your terror with us, much appreciated 😉🥰
/Lizz
Finally someone who watched heroes! Love this show as well, Hiro is such a mood ❤
Omg one of my favorite movie!! ❤❤
deep blue sea and bait are my two favoruite shark films, definitely worth a watch!
The Meg has always been one of my favourite movies cause of suspense and the intensity level. Plus, I was in my shark loving era and technically still am
Look up Colin Drake a Marine Biologist that is actually studying Megalodons that has very compelling proof that they are real.
Of all the weird and usually random and bad shark movies to come out over the years, this one is actually decent.
Saw this in theaters one and enjoyed it
I love Sharks and the Ocean
"is another one gonna eat this one?" hence The Meg 2
I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed this throw away movie.
Sea? Only till my knees hahahahhahahah, keep going man.
First time watching another movie commentary channel other than Dylan is in trouble and this is real class awesome work brudda😎
Yes 47 meters down there’s Two of them there honestly my second favs after Meg and then deep blue 26:44
Try the rc ball its genuinely fun doing tricks and stuff with it.
you have to watch “47 meters down” !!!! love you seb ❤️
I hate when people quote what was said in videos but that "he really showed that shark what it's like in London" was funny as fk.
"He fully showed that shark what it's like in London." 😮 Think I'll stay on my side of the pond.
im ready for the sequel
You should definitely watch Deep Blue Sea if you haven't, great movie :)
You need to watch Deep Blue Sea next.
18:03 in the cinema I thought the dead Meg will fall on that guy, I've never expected there will be another one and even bigger 🤣
The Shallows!
Honestly this movie is quite good
I'm so excited for the sequel
I was thrilled to have a good movie about the Megalodon :) next fish I wanna see is the Dunkleosteus, it's this mean looking, armored fish
kinda fun that when he swim to tag the meg he sings "just keep swiming" from finding nemo
I will watch literally ANY Jason Statham movie. I like to have little movie marathons where I watch whatever Jason Statham movies I haven't seen yet or ones that are always good on rewatch.
The Meg used to be my favorite movie when I was little it was my childhood
Love to see your reaction the the Jaws movies if you haven't seen them or done them already! they're a classic! especially the first one!
