After the full de-cat and new headers on my six pot E46 the radio became even more of an optional extra, the car makes more than enough music on its own. 👍

I want this sound I see you have deleted the stock muffler and resonator and replaced it with 3 inch piping. Do you still have both sets of stock cats?
I've a 2000 540i/6 with the same exhaust setup; muffler delete and resonator delete.. To tell the honest truth, it does drone pretty bad. Holding a constant highway speed (60-70) isn't extremely bad, but it definitely infiltrates the cabin a good amount. Personally, I don't mind too much as the exhaust tones are music to my ears.. but my mother and a few of my non-car-enthusiast friends say it's kind of obnoxious. I do get a lot of positive comments and compliments on my exhaust from other car people, though. For being nearly straight-piped, a lot of people say it sounds damn good.
Enrique Sanchez Wouldn’t it help to have the exhaust stick out a little bit? I’ve removed the muffler and i don’t have any droning problem at all. Thinking about the resonator but i’d hate to get a droning problem.
J Gripen Yes; along with the muffler delete I ran some pipe out to the bottom of the bumper, in place of the old mufflers so it looks somewhat legit. I skipped the exhaust tips because I’m not a fan of them.. From the rear of my car the raw pipes are visible, but they don’t stick out a bunch
B God same! Muffler delete is not enough, I’m looking to cut something els out lol, maybe the cats as well and then just have a Dinan muffler so it wouldn’t be way too loud.
Freeway/highway speed is really nice. Low 17k - 23k RPMS drones pretty hard but it's mighty fine got used to it and I also have kids with me most times and they're fine as well

Im from sweden, i have a 540 touring in the garage that's pretty broken so i'm probably gonna buy a sedan and switch few parts. But here the most expensive one is 9kEuro. And that one has compression kit with 420bhp. But stock ones and like 3-6k :O. Come to sweden bro :D

It's too bad that modern BMW V8s don't even sound like a proper V8 anymore, I mean they're powerful but that's about it. The current AMG and RS V8 models sound a lot better if you're looking for that typical V8 sound
