I did not mention it in this video though in others I have. This board acts as a 2 in 1 board for me. I can prone foil it comfortably as its 33L (I usually surf 29-30L...) and wingfoil it on days that are 12 knots+ essentially... I have done 10 but its a workout and must use a 7m +/-. The foil I do adapt accordingly... If its light wind might opt for a larger wing and if stronger wind a smaller wing. I weight 175lbs +/- though if you consider impact vest, helmet, being wet, maybe 180lbs wet. In flat water I could probably ride in lighter wind though here we must factor the chop which could add a bit of challenge and require little more wind.
@@charlesosterlund7303 right now I'm riding a 95 L Board, I'm 185 pounds plus all the wetsuit and boots, gloves. Cold up here in Toronto,Canada. I'm interested in getting a board to practice dock starting (Pump) but you make it look easy wing foiling with 30L Board so was thinking to buy a board that has enough volume to prone foil/wing/and hopefully 30 L is small enough to practice dock starting. I watch all your videos. Keep producing them they are great. Its thanks to you that I found out about Wind haven spot Cabarete. Was hoping to maybe come mid April but I heard in one of your videos that March/April is the slowest time for wind so maybe I'll try in May.
@@Ericz131313 if you are 185lbs consider a board around 30-40L. Depending on the kind of wave you are proning if small and mushy you will appreciate more volume, shorter mast and larger wing. If more power or size you’ll appreciate the reverse. Longer mast, smaller front wing and board with less volume though not to little. The Fone rocket surf is great in both sports. I haven’t tried the rocket wing S Carbon for prone surf though have it here in 36L but I believe the surf version is better to do both while wing S is best just for wing. The features are more wing related than surf. If you can get away riding the 5’0 38L you might be able to do both comfortably. Also if you can shave for 10-20lbs (with minimal effort over time) would help. Cabarete is good year round. Closer we get to summer the better. Check out the wind forecast and already you see wind everyday 15-20 knots+. Last days been on 4.2 full power with sinker. Could have ridden a 3.5. Our most mixed time is winter time where we could get wind and waves or no wind and just waves. We have 300+ days of wind a year 60 days that are not happening, though we have wind and waves all throughout just varies. March, April, May+ is great. Send me a message by WhatsApp or email through Liquid Blue if anything. Glad to help-
Lol, seems like its "really hard" for the beach goers to see your filming a video XD 1:36 and 5:47
All shot live :D it is what it is! Public beach and good that people are outside enjoying the sun and beach.
@Liquid Blue Cabarete Yea thats most important. Thanks for taking time making the video.
@@BrettWae NP! Hope to film some more ideas that have come to mine. If you got ideas let me know!
Just finishing up a week in Cabarete. Really enjoyed watching all the 🪁.
It is the place to see people of all walks of life sharing a moment in time on the water. Unique
Great info. How much do you weigh? would you be able to surf prone with same board?
