I have a green painted one (original) That i want to refurbish in pure black . Any good tip to remove this green paint? Dont really want to sandblast it.
Doing the exact same thing right now for this model stove. Did you cement the combustion chamber to the baffle? you say in the video to "make sure it's nice and tight" some of the ones I've seen look like they've been cemented.
I just cemented the 6 sides together, the rest is bolted. The combustion chamber should be thight to make shure you don't have any air leaks and the air flow is regulated only thru the hatche and vents
Van DK term zijn er spuitbussen met hittebestendige verf, werkt heel goed. maar er zijn vast ook andere merken die vergelijkbare spuitverf hebben. dekachelwinkel.nl/verf-spuitbus-hittebestendige-verf-650-c-zwart-400-ml?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIgpWtzcSn9QIVB-N3Ch16YgfqEAQYEiABEgKpu_D_BwE
Thank you for posting. My replacement upper baffle just arrived. Nice to see how it goes together.

I could be wrong but I think you did the glass gasket wrong? Suppose to be a gap on top to allow air wash.
Interesting point , one to check on.
No glass in that door!
You are right , there must be a gap on top of the glass for the clean air-wash !
Leuke video, welke verf gebruik je voor het verven van de kachel?

@@luxworks6527 Dankje!
Hi did you use the original bolts or did you get new ones from Jotul? Also, what adhesive did you use to seal the joints? Thx.
I replaced the bolts by just ordinary galvanized bolts, you could also use RVS bolts, but they're a little bit weaker.
as adhesive I used, special woodstove cement (from Altech BV) or heat resistant mastic (from granita)
