  • The stove is " Made in Norway " by the famous Jøtul ...Jotul as you say in english. This version is 602 N. Almost the same as 602 with no number or letter...the classic one. The nut and bolts are placed some a little different on this one, and the form of the end wall and front wall has some different connections slides. You cannot mix the parts of those two modells..except the outlet for smoke and the cooking plate which is 24 cm diameter.
This one has a kind of " hammered " finish and is green enameled. Using stove cement in the plate joints. Long and extended film for those interested.
The stove delivers about 7 kwt. The most sold and copied box stove in the world !

I’ve got a 602N with a secondary burn plate which is toast along with the inner panels. I’m going to eliminate the secondary burn plate and cast iron inner side panels opting for fire brick all around.

The Baffle is needed to guide the smoke in a half sircle before it leaves out the chimney or exit. I guess you can make a partly functional one with vermiculite or chamot

Thanks, very informative. What is the black paste that you used on the hotplate?

Huh,,, So, those outer tracks was NOT for a glassfiber wick kind of deal as I shopped for... I once glued some flue adapters together with that 1500*C Biltema Brandmassa. They stuck for good :D . Will that stove ever be able to be disassembled again ? Edit; Why did you split the door gasket wick into two parts ?

Good question. I guess it was somhow broken or half gone...so i made it in two part to avoid the broken part of the rope... :-)

The back pigs are for the smoke plate that lay above...guiding the smoke front and back...and out chimney...@@bjrn-erikmichalsen2825
