An idea for an other kind of "blind mission", not sure if it has been mentioned. But basically walk from start to goal *without* GPS, maybe with the only help of a paper map, asking locals etc, and see how straight a line you can achieve. Obviously it will not be very straight, but you can still calculate a score. Could be an interesting variation.
The high subscribing count is well deserved!! Great video again guys. Would love to see longform content about the coastal hike, I feel like i havent had much exposure to the baltics, so it would be really interesting to get to know and see more about it!
We have decided that we will do a long video about the next hike on the coast, so stay tuned! Soon there is also a video coming out that shows how awesome it is here during winter 😉
Idea for a video. Visit some so-called ghost town. Or even more extreme, spend the night there. Thanks for your videos. Blessings and much love from Latvia ❤😇
You could do the longest straight line across Estonia or Latvia next 😅😂 am joking kinda, it would give us viewers longer or more videos to watch haha. I'd watch if you just went for a random country walk 😊 but do prefer the longer vids to shorts. Nice one explaining things, and well done guys 💕🏴
Your future plans sound interesting, especially the blind mission and the winter mission. Have you considered doing Finland at some point? I checked that the obvious line near Oulu is 200 kilometers long, while the line in Estonia would be between 130 and 170 kilometers.
What about hiking from Narva to Memel-Klipeda aria, following the beach :) it would take about 10 days. A great way to see all 3 countries (at least Livonia). OR, it is possible to get a line through all 3 countries, but it would be a mammoth task of course. Great content guys!
Hi, We are actually doing something like that. But currently we are doing on the weekends. We continue where we last left off. It's currently named Estonial Coastal Hike but we are planning to continue on the coast once we reach Latvia. So far it has been in shorts but we will make a couple of long form videos as well to see how they do. And ultimately a line across 3 countries would be awesome. Maybe in the future when we have more time and experience we attempt such thing.
Great Q%A , "Nothing" is honestly the best answer when asked what you liked most here. We dont have a good tourist infrastructure or many places to see, but we do have beautiful grasslands, forests and rivers. Would love to see more videos about crossing countries in a straight line, but i know its not possible for many countries, as it would take multiple weeks to cross. Honnestly im happy to see any exposure on the Baltic states, as we dont really stand out. Hope to see new videos soon , and Paldies for visiting us !😁
Actually we had only one. We borrowed the gopro from our friend and it was right before the mission so we didn't have time to buy any extra batteries. Because of that we had to be quite conservative with the gopro but we had power banks in each stash so we were able to recharged it every night.
@@TOM-ITI Wow, Püssi doesn’t only have a name that went viral in AirBaltic plane naming, but also a mountain! And a punk festival. Amazing place, I should visit.
Hard to tell if its same for non latvian/russian soeaking, but from my experience, LATGALE have most friendly and welcoming countryside people in whole Latvia. Some cities might be questionable tho... If you need hiking idea - check out old railway Rīga-> Ērgļi. Lotsa hikers, bikers, offroaders like to do it.
We have actually thought about that. It would be really cool. Unfortunately right now we are both full time working and we need to plan out our vacation days really carefully. So first we will move around in our neighborhood and then will start looking further away.
Somehow missed the opportunity to ask the question - by any chance have you been in contact with Tom (GeoWizard) and maybe you have any feedback (envy? :D ) regarding your mission?
We haven't actually had any contact with him and we don't know if he is even aware that we did this mission. Also not sure how to actually get in touch with him 😅
@@TOM-ITI If you look on his "about" information on his youtube page and click "show email address" you can see it there. It is also the email address that comes up if you google "geowizard email address" and has been the same for many years.
Well, I think not only it would be excess weight but it would also be kind of illegal because if it happens to be private land or national park then you are not allowed to harm nature like that. Not sure about the exact laws tho. Thanks for the commenting!
Tents: First night - MSR Elixir 1, Second night- A random 4 people tent, Third night- cheap hammocks Sleeping bags: Snugbag Softie Expansion Boots: Quechua MH100
@@Uraken3d Well, these kinds of hikes are quite rough for the equipment so we feel like buying super expensive gear for crawling in mud and thickets would not make sense
🦅🦅🦅Latvia mentioned 5th video in row🦅🦅🦅
Ps. Good job, I enjoyed all videos.
Good luck in the future, tuned in for Latvia but will stay for whatever comes up next

Thank you! It seems like this video is even a little more interesting than the video itself on the trail! Very informative
Best wishes and tomitastic achievements in the new year!
What a great video! I absolutely admire how much work and care you guys put into your content. And the beginning was 👌.
Thank you for the kind words, Janis!😊 Glad you liked the beginning 😃

Yes, Finland is something we will definitely try in the future! We will first try how Estonia goes tho 😃
yeah ... enyoj holidays :D :D :D, in first actual working day after long holiday marathon
Liechtenstein next ❤😻🇱🇻
for an idea - hike Latvia horizontally in the same setting, that would be amazing :)
That would be cool but crazy 😄
Random line adventure sounds like it could be very eventful

Do Lithuania on the western side - from Skuodas south to Nemunas, about 130km. Shouldn't be that difficult.
Will definitely check this out! 😉 Thanks!

Thank you guys for the series through Latvia 🇱🇻❤️🇪🇪 Loved it!
BTW what is this place from the start of the video?
Thank you! 🤗It is called Püssi Ashmountain or Püssi tuhamägi in Estonian 😉
0:25 sat in the snow in the freezing cold so it didn't take long to get there )
How many gopro batteries did you have?

Really enjoyed your videos from Latvia and not only! What is this place, where you tried to film in the beginning? :D
Thanks a lot! The place is called Püssi Tuhamägi (Püssi ash mountain)

Any chance of trying Wales, England or Scotland in the future?

That line u used - i believe was also used by USSR army to attack in 1945... or very close to that.
Would it be easier to get through thickets with a machete or axe? Or would that be unneeded additional weight?
Well, I think not only it would be excess weight but it would also be kind of illegal because if it happens to be private land or national park then you are not allowed to harm nature like that. Not sure about the exact laws tho.
Thanks for the commenting!
Will you do any cycling videos?
We haven't planned any but why not 😄
Maybe to challenge yourselves more you could consider doing straight line through all 3 Baltic countries sometime in the future. 😏
Questions: what gear do you have - tents, sleeping bags, hammocks, boot brand and model?
Tents: First night - MSR Elixir 1, Second night- A random 4 people tent, Third night- cheap hammocks
Sleeping bags: Snugbag Softie Expansion
Boots: Quechua MH100
@@TOM-ITI THANKS!
@@TOM-ITI Wow, never would have chosen the Quechua brand for hiking as I thought it was a very low budget firm, now I'll take a closer look
@@Uraken3d Well, these kinds of hikes are quite rough for the equipment so we feel like buying super expensive gear for crawling in mud and thickets would not make sense
@@TOM-ITI Well, spraining your foot in a crappy shoe and ending up camping isn't great either.

what was that place at the start????

Nagu me kõik teame, siis Eesti on hiigelsuur riik. Sirgjoones 150-200 km.
were you afraid of leeches in the ditches
To be fair, it didn't cross our minds 😅, so we weren't afraid and thankfully we didn't see any leeches.
First! 😄
Thanks. Music too loud and repetitive annoying
Thanks for the feedback!
I agree with that very much.
Next series should be called - gay across latvia
