Very sophisticated and expensive belt grinder. Thank you brother.

That’s a really good example of using 3d printing as part of a bigger build using other materials. For me, functional parts are so much more interesting than printing mini characters or face masks etc. A great project - thanks for sharing.

i instantly have so many improvements in my head.
make the handles the same hight so the belt is always parallel to the worktable when placed on its head.
make the sides in a stable 90° angle to sidesupport. maybe add magnets for stability.
Make the surfaceplate longer so it reaches almost the wheels for more flat surface.
Reduce the sidewalls on the wheels so you dont accidently grind some things with them.
buuuuuuut who am i to judge. i am just a artisan who loves to watch these builds and get ideas :D The only thing i am really scared of is electricity... not batteries but 220V. there is my limit of artisan hobbycraft

Quite a versatile machine there. A well-thought design, which could be used inverted as well. Great job.

Epic build! I love that you made it battery powered as well! I could see you making a battery attachment for those 20V batteries for the Dewalt type of battery connector. The great thing about those is that you can unmount the battery when it gets low and then recharge them and put them back on the sander.
One thing that would be really awesome is if you could build a 5 ft long conveyor that is either 8 to 10 inches wide. That can have the dream mats used for sluicing gold going around the drive belt. It be battery powered with a motor than can be powered by a 20 Volt Dewalt battery. Have a speed control knob. Be able to angle the pitch 2 inches per foot and adjustable feet on all 4 corners to make it be able to be perfectly level. Have metal or hard plastic rust proof side bars on each side that are 5 inches high above the dream mat that will be rotating around the belt. I have seen the dream mat in various lengths, but it is a hard solid piece. If it were flexible to be used in a conveyor, it could be used for a belt. One could then shovel gravel on it and it would bring the material to the top of the conveyor. Have water flow with adjustable rate going from the top of the conveyor down to the bottom of the conveyor. As one loads material on the bottom of the conveyor the gravel is constantly getting agitated and the light material is being washed away while the heavier material stays on it until it gets to the top and can then be washed off at the top drop off point and go into a high banker to get rid of the really big stuff above a 1/4 inch that would drop out of the the grisly bar part of the high banker. If the conveyor can be put directly into the water itself then one could load shovel fulls of material onto the conveyor as long as the outer walls are high enough that it doesn't spill over the walls as the material is being pulled up to the top of the conveyor. That's why I think it needs to be at least 5 inches of wall on the sides. Want it to be portable so that it can be made compact and then be able to assemble it at a claim location to do prospecting. I haven't seen anyone build anything like this before. I have seen people use trash pumps to suck up material on top of a sluice box and that was pretty neat. It just needs so much power to do something like that and it really isn't portable for those that just have a car. A conveyor would make it a lot easier to just load it from the bottom and not have to lift material up very high. So, that all you have to do is lift material just enough to get it onto the conveyor. Let it do all the work getting the material up to the high banker. It could even just lift it to a sluice as well. That is why being able to adjust the pitch to what one would prefer would be awesome. You just want to be able to control the water flow rate so that it isn't too strong for the pitch that it doesn't wash everything you put on it away.

Great build (as always!). Something on the back of my head suggest that there should be a safety switch, something like a dead man switch. This would make the grinder safer by not being able to turn it on by mistake (good luck trying to catch small RC car with a grind belt for its wheels ;) and also when the material springs back and you loose grip of the grinder it will stop automatically.
