Wonderful stuff, I listened to you recently read a letter you wrote to your darling wife before you got married, what a lovely love filled gesture, that is the language of poets and artists.
Aah the beautiful village of Clovelly, this is my favourite place on earth, such peace and tranquility, I feel drawn to the place and have done for many years, someday I will return back there forever ...Thanks for the post... Terry
Wonder full clovelly. My mate and I were there a week before D Day in 1944 ,,we hired a row boat and went out to a large tanker moored quarter mile off shore there was only one sailor on board ,he asked if we had a news paper which we passed onto him in a bucket on rope he passed to us ,,,he asked us to wait ,and passed back to us two large packets of ham sandwiches ,just what two hungry 16 yrear olds could make disappear in no time ,,loverly memories Jack
He's rather immobile these days and needs a lot of help with getting about. Mentally though he seems to be doing great, I hope he makes it to 100 and beyond.
RIP Joss. You were an inspiration in advertisements and a legend in the making of fantastic motion pictures. Godspeed, Joss.
I could listen to that beautiful voice forever!
I picked Mr Ackland up when I was a chauffeur a few years back what a gentleman. We chatted about his life what a chap.
I have never been to Clovelly, but I would love to.
everyone must watch "Daisies in December". It will make you cry with happiness and not be afraid of getting old!
So very beautiful. Such a great actor.
Wish I could go back there for another holiday. Not been there for 53 or more years.
That's one contented man! Lucky him.
