Colour doesn’t have to be hard. To find out more about how this approach to colour can help you mix colour accurately, see value more clearly and paint with natural colour, grab my free 6-part email course “The Keys to Colour” here:

Hi Paul, thanks so much for a great lesson. Often times I struggle with shadows as well as edges. All the information you share with is just amazing. Looking forward to continue enjoying your videos.
You're very welcome. I have done a webinar on edges already although I thinking of doing another, covering some more information that I wish I'd put in the last one. Watch this space!
Excellent webinars! Thanks for sharing your experience. You are a great teacher. Keep going!
Thank you :)

Hello from Texas
thanks a lot for this video
You're very welcome :)
Hello from Colorado and thank you for this You Tube. I have two questions Sir? Can I use this in watercolor painting and is it useful to purchase the Munsell color wheel by Mandarin Moose called 'Color Harmony Wheel' on sale at Amazon which states it is based on Mr. Munsell theory of color.
Thanks for posting for those of us who missed the right hour..
You're welcome Christine. It's tough to get the timing right for all timezones so I always make the replays available here.
Paul your lessons are just amazing. Thanks a lot for time and all your efforts for us. 🙏🏻 regards from india
What is the painting you were talking about to study how he approach shadows?
Thanks for doing this webinars.
Graydon Parrish
Is there a reason for the black out curtains?
Is the same technique for painting tree shadows?
A lemon shadow with ivory black mixed in will give a blueish shadow, so what should I mix with yellow then for the yellow shadow?
Probably raw umber, since that is a yellowish-orange in hue. Add some burnt umber if the chroma drops too much. Basically you want something in the same hue range (yellow) but lower value - that pretty much means raw umber or raw + burnt umber.
Dove posso trovar le cartelle dei colori?
How do these values translate to color application?
I can see you well
👍👍👍🙏👌👌👌
Hi great video. But why can't I download it?
Erm...I don't know? Sorry.
In this and all your videos should be edited to eliminate unnecessary passages, I have analyzed the times and these videos could be reduced by more than 2/3 of the time. Incorporating written texts would be a good idea and above all not based it on the need to have the Munsell book. Several times I have been to buy your videos and these problems have deterred me from doing so.
Thank you
All ok here
Great video! At 44 min you are recommending an artist ... Graydon Parish? It's hard to tell with the accent! Would be great in future when referencing if you could spell out the person's name to make it easier to look them up. Thanks so much.
Paul, what is your email address?
