just a quick disclaimer is that PTA change is an 8% increase on yourself. meaning that once you proc it, it will increase your dmg by 8% until the end of combat no matter who you hit
@fazemayes7655 no, you gain 8% damage while in combat when you proc it. You don't proc anything on multiple people, if you proc it on the front line you just get 8% more damage while staying in combat now
I didn't catch that at first either. I've been wondering what rune I'll take on Jax for a game I need to do more damage in, and I think PTA with absorb life could be a move to sustain lane and do big damage as well. Also, Renekton PTA is probably going to be the choice over Conq again
Here is what riot should do after all of this tenacity nerf. They should nerf chain cc by making it so once you are cc by something you gain a %tenacity after the duration ends or after being hit by another cc spell, this should scale higher the higher cc duration. So this would make individual cc effects better, but chain cc even from the same champion much worse.
no they should make an update if u are cced and if u are adc u are cced for more 10 sec doesn t matter the cc ! tenacity shouldn t exist in the 1 st place
"Acq range" mentioned in 22:35 is "acquisition range". It impacts your attack move command as it searches for valid targets that are that far away from your cursor; if it finds none, your champion will move to that location instead. Furthermore, if you have automatic basic attacking enabled in settings, your champion will also automatically attack any valid target that enters your acquisition range Edit: typos; if you think I wrote something incorrect here and can prove it, please go on ahead. I've only noticed it works like that. How it works in reality might be a bit different
Bro idk what I did to my settings but i always auto attack when I just want to move (if I don’t keep clicking to continue moving) and it’s so annoying there are so many times trading in the middle of wave and I just start auto attacking minions instead of champ (I am low elo plz tell me how to fix)
it's like every .10 patch is an adc patch that they work on throughout the year. 12.10 is durability patch (mostly for adcs), 13.10 is adc changes, 14.10 more adc changes. i don't mind this since it makes the game fresh. just interesting though.
What make it even worse is that ADC has problems reaching the 1300 gold mark to get the big BF sword for power spike, noonquiver was ment to prevent that by making 3 components cheap so you can gradual improvements.

I cannot wait for this patch to drop, trying to catch an ashe with permanent 500 movespeed and slow resist with no tenacity or slow resist while her morgana support forces me to disconnect from afk warning sounds super fun, thanks Riot!
55% of players working on league play botlane. The rest are spread out to other roles with mid right after with 20-ish%. Every if not all skin releases have at least 1 or 2 champions that are played botlane. Player satisfaction steams from the majority of botlaners. I could go on and on about it, but you get it. ADC gets reworked a lot because items changing in other roles means they're worse as a class. Tanks are tankier, adcs need a hand. Bruisers are unkilable, deaths dance gets nerfed, mages outscaling and bulling an adc, get some ap scalings nerfed. On and on. Not to mention that the botlane playerbase is bigger than people think, but also, they're the ones buying the most stuff.
@Timeforspas12 deaths dance just got buffed and those are arbitrary numbers and they just finished fixing all of those problems why are they giving the problem to other lane listen im all for balancing but this unbalancing things for another year of the other "45%" to complain so they can just revert this change in another way
Nooo, dont remove ingenious. Its was actually useful rune. Remove the bonus gold snowball rune, thats literally the definition of toxic. Now we have no item haste. Im very sad.
Isn't trundle really broken with the new font of life? His Q slows enemies for 75% for 0,1 sec. Doesn't he get the heal everytime he Q's? On top of his increased healing, taking the healing runes like grasp + second wind + revitalize seems pretty busted.
Maybe cut down is good if you hit one giga spell while above that threshold, it would amp the whole damage meaning it could be cool on high burst champs. Maybe your a support and you want to hurt the enemy but you don't want to last hit them. Maybe your champ is a Jhin, or some champ with missing HP damage and you want to get them to lower HP faster for your missing health damage to do the rest.
The extra attack speed for ADCs might help make up for lethal tempo not existing in the game. It’ll benefit ADCs who use PTA or another tune. But it’s just interesting to see how the it’ll affect which ADCs are stronger
Adcs get buffed, Legend Tenasity gets removed , Merc get nerfed to 20% . Swifties no longer have slow res. TIME TO CRY AS ANY Juggernaut CHAMP . Any Dot support will perma slow slow you , easy land there cc . and you cry as you get a AFK warning .

yeah the build path for terminus, because of when you buy it, it's probably actually better because it's really awkward when you want to buy it to get something that's only giving you a attack speed or you're like waiting a super long time to buy a BF sword. now you could probably buy it earlier like you could go it first item on kog now that kraken Slayer is going to be so shit because of the quiver thing

I dislike that they made some items more "boring", removing interesting passives for just raw stats. Yeah, the items are more consistent, but less niche. We're kinda moving back to S8 ... which .. yeah, idk how to feel about it. Really hoped they would add more items that you won't build every game, but maybe one in 10 games (I wish mages would get a proper anti shield item)
Runes make the game more like an mmorpg if the system is robust. I prefer a simple rune system, but I understand that if you play thousands of hours a season simple systems get boring.

I feel like absorb life is going to affect top Lane a lot. cuz if you push them off the wave and that happens a lot like people just give up the wave and they back up to their Tower and then they just farm it when it gets there but now instead of having traded before that or maybe that guy's at like half health he's going to be like almost full for the first dive
Feel like inspiration tree has been massacred. Remember when the pitch for inspiration tree was that it was going to be weird utility runes that break the rules of the game? Most of that is gone now, it's mostly just small stat boosts like every other tree, except they're weaker or more situational.

I think first strike is positive for ranged poke mages, since they make short trades that don't deal too much damage and the base gold is going up if you proc it off CD it will give alot more gold early game
@@vaale0006 10 Gold diff in base damage = damage dealt × 0.07 (bonus damage) × 0.7 (ranged debuff). You would need to do 205 (POST MITIGATION) damage early to equal the BASE gold you now get, of course it still gives you gold so something like 250 damage to equal it. Lol for sure it's not a buff to gold generation early game. (Maths lol)
I understand that I'm a bronze scrub, but imho ingenious hunter was one of the best runes in the game. Same was said by some more reputable players, like xPetu, and TheBausffs and Spear Shot have enjoyed the taylored builds as well (I'm talking Baumi's + eclipse and Sundered sky).
symbiotic soles probably be best on zilean and bard. being able to base at 4 seconds is pretty good you can just gank mid than return base. you can tunnel than base before enemy could reach you out even enemies like briar or seen which can jump from walls.
A lot of champs rely on lethal tempo to actually do enough damage late game to carry really sucks and I guess they want everyone to be stunned forever too!
I will say as an adc main in mid master. The ghost change does absolutely nothing in terms of nerfing it on adcs. Adcs never wanted to use it off cooldown and never used the full duration.
Believe me when I say Stattikk Shiv will be OP in top lane. It hits 6 targets after the kill, which means other than the first minion you kill in cannon wave you're sending that 90 magic damage at your laner. 2-3 activations per wave is 180-270 magic damage poke on your laner pre-mitigation. With how fast you clear waves with this you'll likely hold them under their turret where they won't have space to move off their wave to dodge the zap without missing creeps. That poke REALLY matters in many top matchups that would buy this item and its best on lane bullies, so they're even harder to find a punish window. Looking at Jayce, Akshan, Quinn, any of the ADCs that find their way to top every few patches. Trynd will be good with this and PD. Tanks will have a nightmare itemizing against this early. You can't get access to armor and mr on the same item without Jak'Sho which skews lategame and sucks to rush. Buy all the armor you like you're losing 200 hp for free 0 interaction every wave.
I really really hope they aren't going to only give beserkers an upgrade item. Especially after they made swiftness worse for everyone else but marksmen when the biggest abusers of swiftness boots before were ranged champs top. "But but muh lethal tempoo". Lethal was already heavily nerfed before removal, because it shouldnt have been in the game at all. Fleet and Pta were already the better runes for most champs.
“Fleet or pta was already better” that’s just not true even on champs that are skewed towards being able to take both, they are two different runes for different situations. One is only objectively better than the other in a vacuum

25:29 this is totally a jhin nerf, zerkers are just way better now because you get more move speed on an aa than with swifties. not sure why but this seems like a really hard nerf to boots of swiftness, gonna love berserkers this patch tho.

Am I the only one who is super unhappy with Magical Footwear being the be-all and end-all rune on the first tier of the Inspiration tree??? I hate feeling like I'm nerfed for 12 whole minutes (if I'm having a bad game and getting no kills) by not being able to have boots, but it's such a clear winner on that tier that you'd be stupid to get anything else. This rune rework would have been the perfect time to address this OP and yet unfun rune and yet it's like one of the few runes they didn't buttfuck into oblivion.

Honestly I like the Marksman item update so far but there's a few things that need tweaking in my opinion: First, Navori should be an AD item and not AS. That's the stat that the champs who will buy this item want, and also all of the cheap items give AS so it would be nice to have an AD option Second, since they removed Spellblade from Essence Reaver, they should make a new crit item that has it. I already know that everyone will complain once ADCs start buying Trinity and there should be a burst sheen option in the game. Third, give Shieldbow its lifesteal back, I don't even know why they removed it in the first place Lastly holy Roit buff those build paths I genuinely was taking mental damage looking at those buildpaths especially for Kraken, how do tanks and assassins get to have the most immaculate build paths and components meanwhile the only good adc component noonquiver gets turbo gutted☠️

@@jenyaalucard8299 I agree with you, but this patch already nerfed marksmen early game a lot: Without lethal tempo you don't just get a full items worth of attack speed for free, and none of the crit items are particularly good as a first purchase, so most ADCs will have to wait until 2 items to start being useful. At the very least give them decent components so it doesn't feel bad to play
I feel like total attack speed increasing is an underutilized stat. Like they could've made lethal tempo give significantly less attack speed, but also made it total instead of off of base attack speed like every other attack speed sterroid in the game. That'd mean that champions that build attack speed and champions that don't build attack speed get the same value out of it.
idl what to thonk of these changes for crit ADCs: Imo it feel like you have to buy a mythic item again bc you can get 100% crit with 4 items and then you have to build one non crit item ost are gonna take BT or Kraken and it feels like u have to build these as an adc BUT it also allows adcs to build a bruiser or tank item while having max crit chance. You are insanely wrong here, this is a huge buff. More than just damage but also the option to gain more survivability Your logic just doesn’t really make sense, “feels like you have to buy a mythic item again”, how so? You aren’t incentivized to do so with a passive that gives you stats. You say it’s because adcs now have 1 more time slot, but how does that feel like a mythic. That feels better since now you have more diversity and items are no longer heavily skewed towards mythics Again crit items are actually stronger this patch, I don’t know how you can say adcs lost dps. Because previously people wanted 25% crit less ad but now riot has not only given more critical but more ad as well.
99% sure that auto attack focused adc like ashe, apehlios, jinx will go Infinity edge -> Phantom dancer -> Hurricane. Insane damage. Move speed. 75% crit chance. I love it. Buttery smooth like season 3
the xp change is massive niilah outleveling sololanes :^) junglers sharing xp after a gank to push waves :^) also 5% less xp might change which minion wave gives 6 and which minion gives level 2
I already have been using fleet on a lot of adcs. in lane the sustain of it is so stupid and the speed it gives renders attack speed totally useless, because they can just not fight like if they're going to lose the fight they just leave because they're so fucking fast and they heal so much
Good luck ever touching marksmen with fleet, ghost, zephyr and ms on nearly every item. Also you have less tenacity and only they get slow resist from boots, also swifties was changed to only really work on them.
? But isnt that great? Slightly more mobility is good buff? Less tenacity makes it easier to catch adcs and slows are way more punishing for squishys who need to kite a lot so i think its just fair that they get that
@iceboorg9737 Marksmen were not going legend tenacity. lts melee champs that were going legend tenacity and buying mercs the most. Tenacity matters less on ADC because they are most likely dead after being CC even if it is short (this is balanced because they are glass cannons). Melee champs get hit by multiple CCs in fights. The only squishy champs that were abusing swifties were marksmen toplane. There are many melee champs that needed them for their kit to function. Now the only champs that have slow resist on boots are marksmen. And new swifties only works on marksmen too. Marksmen having more MS is actually less skillful because its just much easier to dodge and reposition. It also just ruins a lot of skillshots that were balanced around lower MS. And it's not like they traded anything for this mobility. They were also the only class that didnt need a boot upgrade. Marksmen could always sell boots for a zeal item and still have 370-390 ms based on build. If a mage or melee champ sold boots, they'd be moving at 335 ms. Good luck playing the game with that.
Absorb life procs off champ kill only so that doesnt do anything in lane, the other things were already in the game so anti poke runes haven't changed, absorb life is for mid late game.

There is so much movement speed in the game, artillery mages are so useless but riot doesnt care at all because low elo cant sidestep. Try hitting an skill shot ability with ghost and +35% movement speed passive on champs
They need to add a late game item for Sorc Shoes. AP Assassins are terrible in the game (outside of Eve... who recently got nerfed), and their jobs will get even harder with these Merc Tread buffs.

I know Lethal tempo was incredibly strong. But it was fun to use for adcs. Just a good feeling stacking and ramping up attack speed. Instead of having 3 runes, I hope they can add one more run for each rune tree thats fun and good. Also, without Lethal tempo they should increase the attack speed cap to 3, for mega kiting! Lol
ill be honest idk why we do this to ourselves anymore like theyve been doing minor adjustements here and there and players a sitting here thinking its coming to an end but guess what we are reworking corki so everyone has to fucking adapt smh and we were doing soo good in the last 3 patches

I feel like legend haste is somewhat useless since mages who want the cdr don't go precision anyways and I don't think it will be better than sorcery crosspath with transcendence.
Well ap champions that go precision for fleet or conq will have quicker cooldows cuz there is no way Akali, Sylas or Singes are picking as or life steal

just a quick disclaimer is that PTA change is an 8% increase on yourself. meaning that once you proc it, it will increase your dmg by 8% until the end of combat no matter who you hit

@fazemayes7655 no, you gain 8% damage while in combat when you proc it. You don't proc anything on multiple people, if you proc it on the front line you just get 8% more damage while staying in combat now

I didn't catch that at first either. I've been wondering what rune I'll take on Jax for a game I need to do more damage in, and I think PTA with absorb life could be a move to sustain lane and do big damage as well. Also, Renekton PTA is probably going to be the choice over Conq again
Here is what riot should do after all of this tenacity nerf.
They should nerf chain cc by making it so once you are cc by something you gain a %tenacity after the duration ends or after being hit by another cc spell, this should scale higher the higher cc duration.
So this would make individual cc effects better, but chain cc even from the same champion much worse.

"Acq range" mentioned in 22:35 is "acquisition range". It impacts your attack move command as it searches for valid targets that are that far away from your cursor; if it finds none, your champion will move to that location instead. Furthermore, if you have automatic basic attacking enabled in settings, your champion will also automatically attack any valid target that enters your acquisition range

Bro idk what I did to my settings but i always auto attack when I just want to move (if I don’t keep clicking to continue moving) and it’s so annoying there are so many times trading in the middle of wave and I just start auto attacking minions instead of champ (I am low elo plz tell me how to fix)

it's like every .10 patch is an adc patch that they work on throughout the year. 12.10 is durability patch (mostly for adcs), 13.10 is adc changes, 14.10 more adc changes. i don't mind this since it makes the game fresh. just interesting though.
Hopefully it will be less ADC-centric with no Lethal Tempo giving ADCs innate attack speed and extra range

I actually dislike that Noonquiver looses the minion damage. I always thought that made pushing / farming so much more chill.
Now it's an anti-farm item, since it gives you crit chance, a stat that in early game can fuck up your last hits, kinda sad
What make it even worse is that ADC has problems reaching the 1300 gold mark to get the big BF sword for power spike, noonquiver was ment to prevent that by making 3 components cheap so you can gradual improvements.

55% of players working on league play botlane. The rest are spread out to other roles with mid right after with 20-ish%. Every if not all skin releases have at least 1 or 2 champions that are played botlane. Player satisfaction steams from the majority of botlaners. I could go on and on about it, but you get it. ADC gets reworked a lot because items changing in other roles means they're worse as a class. Tanks are tankier, adcs need a hand. Bruisers are unkilable, deaths dance gets nerfed, mages outscaling and bulling an adc, get some ap scalings nerfed. On and on. Not to mention that the botlane playerbase is bigger than people think, but also, they're the ones buying the most stuff.

Isn't trundle really broken with the new font of life? His Q slows enemies for 75% for 0,1 sec. Doesn't he get the heal everytime he Q's? On top of his increased healing, taking the healing runes like grasp + second wind + revitalize seems pretty busted.
Maybe cut down is good if you hit one giga spell while above that threshold, it would amp the whole damage meaning it could be cool on high burst champs. Maybe your a support and you want to hurt the enemy but you don't want to last hit them. Maybe your champ is a Jhin, or some champ with missing HP damage and you want to get them to lower HP faster for your missing health damage to do the rest.
The extra attack speed for ADCs might help make up for lethal tempo not existing in the game. It’ll benefit ADCs who use PTA or another tune. But it’s just interesting to see how the it’ll affect which ADCs are stronger

I dislike that they made some items more "boring", removing interesting passives for just raw stats. Yeah, the items are more consistent, but less niche. We're kinda moving back to S8 ... which .. yeah, idk how to feel about it. Really hoped they would add more items that you won't build every game, but maybe one in 10 games (I wish mages would get a proper anti shield item)
Runes make the game more like an mmorpg if the system is robust. I prefer a simple rune system, but I understand that if you play thousands of hours a season simple systems get boring.
If you scale cash back over 3/4 items it becomes pretty insane value, nuts in pro play where things arent as stupid fast tempo and people farm well

I think first strike is positive for ranged poke mages, since they make short trades that don't deal too much damage and the base gold is going up if you proc it off CD it will give alot more gold early game

You would need to do 205 (POST MITIGATION) damage early to equal the BASE gold you now get, of course it still gives you gold so something like 250 damage to equal it. Lol for sure it's not a buff to gold generation early game.

I understand that I'm a bronze scrub, but imho ingenious hunter was one of the best runes in the game.
Same was said by some more reputable players, like xPetu, and TheBausffs and Spear Shot have enjoyed the taylored builds as well (I'm talking Baumi's + eclipse and Sundered sky).
symbiotic soles probably be best on zilean and bard. being able to base at 4 seconds is pretty good you can just gank mid than return base. you can tunnel than base before enemy could reach you out even enemies like briar or seen which can jump from walls.
A lot of champs rely on lethal tempo to actually do enough damage late game to carry really sucks and I guess they want everyone to be stunned forever too!

I will say as an adc main in mid master. The ghost change does absolutely nothing in terms of nerfing it on adcs. Adcs never wanted to use it off cooldown and never used the full duration.

Believe me when I say Stattikk Shiv will be OP in top lane. It hits 6 targets after the kill, which means other than the first minion you kill in cannon wave you're sending that 90 magic damage at your laner. 2-3 activations per wave is 180-270 magic damage poke on your laner pre-mitigation. With how fast you clear waves with this you'll likely hold them under their turret where they won't have space to move off their wave to dodge the zap without missing creeps. That poke REALLY matters in many top matchups that would buy this item and its best on lane bullies, so they're even harder to find a punish window. Looking at Jayce, Akshan, Quinn, any of the ADCs that find their way to top every few patches. Trynd will be good with this and PD. Tanks will have a nightmare itemizing against this early. You can't get access to armor and mr on the same item without Jak'Sho which skews lategame and sucks to rush. Buy all the armor you like you're losing 200 hp for free 0 interaction every wave.

Am I the only one who is super unhappy with Magical Footwear being the be-all and end-all rune on the first tier of the Inspiration tree??? I hate feeling like I'm nerfed for 12 whole minutes (if I'm having a bad game and getting no kills) by not being able to have boots, but it's such a clear winner on that tier that you'd be stupid to get anything else. This rune rework would have been the perfect time to address this OP and yet unfun rune and yet it's like one of the few runes they didn't buttfuck into oblivion.

Honestly I like the Marksman item update so far but there's a few things that need tweaking in my opinion:
First, Navori should be an AD item and not AS. That's the stat that the champs who will buy this item want, and also all of the cheap items give AS so it would be nice to have an AD option
Second, since they removed Spellblade from Essence Reaver, they should make a new crit item that has it. I already know that everyone will complain once ADCs start buying Trinity and there should be a burst sheen option in the game.
Third, give Shieldbow its lifesteal back, I don't even know why they removed it in the first place
Lastly holy Roit buff those build paths I genuinely was taking mental damage looking at those buildpaths especially for Kraken, how do tanks and assassins get to have the most immaculate build paths and components meanwhile the only good adc component noonquiver gets turbo gutted☠️

@@jenyaalucard8299 I agree with you, but this patch already nerfed marksmen early game a lot: Without lethal tempo you don't just get a full items worth of attack speed for free, and none of the crit items are particularly good as a first purchase, so most ADCs will have to wait until 2 items to start being useful. At the very least give them decent components so it doesn't feel bad to play
I feel like total attack speed increasing is an underutilized stat. Like they could've made lethal tempo give significantly less attack speed, but also made it total instead of off of base attack speed like every other attack speed sterroid in the game. That'd mean that champions that build attack speed and champions that don't build attack speed get the same value out of it.

You say it’s because adcs now have 1 more time slot, but how does that feel like a mythic. That feels better since now you have more diversity and items are no longer heavily skewed towards mythics
Again crit items are actually stronger this patch, I don’t know how you can say adcs lost dps. Because previously people wanted 25% crit less ad but now riot has not only given more critical but more ad as well.

Marksmen were not going legend tenacity. lts melee champs that were going legend tenacity and buying mercs the most.
Tenacity matters less on ADC because they are most likely dead after being CC even if it is short (this is balanced because they are glass cannons). Melee champs get hit by multiple CCs in fights.
The only squishy champs that were abusing swifties were marksmen toplane. There are many melee champs that needed them for their kit to function. Now the only champs that have slow resist on boots are marksmen. And new swifties only works on marksmen too.
Marksmen having more MS is actually less skillful because its just much easier to dodge and reposition. It also just ruins a lot of skillshots that were balanced around lower MS. And it's not like they traded anything for this mobility.
They were also the only class that didnt need a boot upgrade. Marksmen could always sell boots for a zeal item and still have 370-390 ms based on build.
If a mage or melee champ sold boots, they'd be moving at 335 ms. Good luck playing the game with that.

Absorb life procs off champ kill only so that doesnt do anything in lane, the other things were already in the game so anti poke runes haven't changed, absorb life is for mid late game.
@@jacksondodd4961 Absorb life procs on minion kills as well. Triumph procs on only champ kills and gives more hp

There is so much movement speed in the game, artillery mages are so useless but riot doesnt care at all because low elo cant sidestep. Try hitting an skill shot ability with ghost and +35% movement speed passive on champs

They need to add a late game item for Sorc Shoes. AP Assassins are terrible in the game (outside of Eve... who recently got nerfed), and their jobs will get even harder with these Merc Tread buffs.
Because Assasins should be weak in late game

Gragas’s cc is mostly knockup, which isnt affected by tenacity

@@Sebbe33G Well his E has a 1 second stun after a 1 second knockup, the point really still stands that nothing changes with the gragas interaction, he one shots you full combo before you can do anything anyways

I know Lethal tempo was incredibly strong. But it was fun to use for adcs. Just a good feeling stacking and ramping up attack speed. Instead of having 3 runes, I hope they can add one more run for each rune tree thats fun and good. Also, without Lethal tempo they should increase the attack speed cap to 3, for mega kiting! Lol
Now the only attack speed cap raiser is Hail of Blades, other than BelVeth and other passives

I feel like legend haste is somewhat useless since mages who want the cdr don't go precision anyways and I don't think it will be better than sorcery crosspath with transcendence.
Well ap champions that go precision for fleet or conq will have quicker cooldows cuz there is no way Akali, Sylas or Singes are picking as or life steal
