    Hang on a minute.. What sort of garage have you got? It looks like a caravan dealer showroom! Do you keep your car AND your caravan in there?!
    Very tidy sir. We leave the microwave plate in the microwave....sometimes (when we forget)

      Hello there Graham, Ha ha, I love my garage and I built it to store a two berth caravan one side and wide enough to open the car doors on the other side. This time last year I had cupboards and worktop fitted along the back wall which completed my dream garage 😁. Not had any sales, still got the same 10 year old caravan in stock 🤣 . Thanks for tuning in, all the best, Rob & Gail

    Do you keep your van at home? It looks like it under cover or better still, in a garage of some description. Recently came across your channel, great advice and tips. Keep up the good work. 👍

      Hi Mark and welcome. Our caravan is stored in my dream garage. I built it to house a two berth caravan and our Bailey has lived there for 10 years 😀. I even had some cupboards fitted last year and posted a video on it titled Garage Storage Cupboard Project. Thank you for the compliment and for tuning in and commenting. All the best, Rob & Gail 👍

    A really useful video. Thank you Rob & Gail. We had at first planned to get a motorhome home, but after watching your videos, lots of reading research, and looking at motorhomes and caravans, we have finally decided on a caravan. The extra room and being able to go out in the car will work better for us now we have looked at things more closely. Thank you both for your great videos, which have given us so much information they are brilliant. 🌞

      Hi Morag, Whilst there are gorgeous motorhomes out there, we absolutely love our caravan. We stay on a lot of rural sites where not everything is within walking distance and a bus stop may be some distance away. We like the convenience of our car, plus Gail doesn’t travel light 😂. Towing isn’t for everyone but I’m well used to it now. Make sure your car has the engine torque and the weight to cope with your choice of caravan. Also make sure you look at different caravan layouts to ensure you get the right one for you first time. Thank you for watching, we are pleased you have learnt so much from our videos. Best wishes, Rob & Gail 😀

      @robswiseways5697 Thank you Rob, we're going to continue looking locally and visit the NEC in October to see all the layout options before we make our final choice. Towing will be a new skill to master, towed a trailer tent but not a caravan, so I'll be taking it steady. All the best to you both 🌞

    Why do you wrap the towel radiator up in bubble wrap?

    • @robswiseways5697
      @robswiseways5697  Місяць тому

      Hi Nigel, The towel rail is incredibly lightweight so during transit it would probably dance around the washroom 😂 possibly doing damage along its way. Bubble wrap and two cushions ensures it stays wedged in place. Thanks for your comment. Rob & Gail 😀

    Very well organised there Rob. Good packing and weight distribution adds to a happier, safer tow. We tend to pack ours very similar to you, however now there is only 2 of us going there's hardly anything in the caravan. Much easier these days. Great vlog, cheers, Martin

    • @robswiseways5697
      @robswiseways5697  Рік тому

      Hello there Martin, Thank you for tuning in. You’re right, organised packing equals safe towing and as you know with your Unicorn they are nose heavy. Our option of the chest of drawers doesn’t help hence the almost empty front of caravan and Calorlite. Envy you travelling light, Gail likes a choice of everything 🫤 . Happy holidays to you both for 2023 😀 👍 and all the best, Rob & Gail

  • @davidmbell

    Don’t exactly travel light, what’s your payload? I imagine you know how much it all weighs knowing how precise you are with other things?

    • @robswiseways5697
      @robswiseways5697  Рік тому

      Thanks for your comment David 👍. The payload is 165kg with the weight plate upgrade. After purchasing a set of precision scales we weighed and listed every item. What you see in the video is pretty much max caravan capacity which is why I load the car as I do. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀

  • @totaltouring829
    @totaltouring829 Рік тому

    Blimey, I think I need to weigh what we take with us. If that’s 165kg of tackle, the wife’s make up and girlie bits weigh that.

    • @robswiseways5697
      @robswiseways5697  Рік тому +1

      Ha ha I know just what you mean 😂. After deducting essential items such as gas, motor mover, battery, you’re left with a chunk missing off the payload, hence all the items in the car. Gail’s become a speedy unpacker over the years. Thanks again for tuning in and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀

    • @robswiseways5697
      @robswiseways5697  2 місяці тому

      Hi Louis, It’s a 2011 Audi A6 allroad. A good compromise between an SUV and estate. It has the higher powered diesel engine, Quattro four wheel drive, self levelling air suspension and optional factory folding tow bar and this makes for a great tow car. Unfortunately Audi stopped importing the allroad into the UK in January 2022. Thanks for watching 👍 Cheers, Rob 😀

    • @robswiseways5697
      @robswiseways5697  Рік тому +1

      They do a good job of keeping shoes off the carpet Sandra 👍. Ours were purchased a few years ago but a quick internet search for shoe trays brings up a good assortment. Make sure you measure your space and choose a shoe tray to fit as you don’t want them to encroach into your doorway. Hope this helps. Best regards, Rob & Gail 😀

    • @robswiseways5697
      @robswiseways5697  Рік тому +1

      Thanks For watching Chris 👍. The vacuum was from www.garagevac.co.uk who are the uk importers from USA for intervacdesign.com
      Garagevac.co.uk only show the garage version with the tool storage. I have a green one which you can see fixed to the wall at the end of my video. They obtained the RV version for me that you can see on the intervacdesign website. They are basically the same vacuum without the tool storage. It originally came with a stretch hose but I purchased the 9m accessory hose which I cut down to 5m to suit the caravan. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀
