    ________________________________
In this episode, Sally emphasizes that several foods commonly considered healthy, such as nuts, dark leafy greens, sweet potatoes, quinoa, and even bran, may actually be harmful due to their high oxalate content. Oxalates, particularly oxalic acid found in plants, can disrupt cellular function by causing oxidative stress, inflammation, and damage to tissues. The accumulation of calcium oxalate can interfere with metabolism, vascular health, and electrolyte balance, leading to various health issues like digestive problems, joint pain, urinary tract infections, and kidney stones. Sally also explains that our modern, non-seasonal diet exacerbates this issue, as we consume these foods year-round without giving our bodies time to recover.
Sally says that tea significantly contributes to oxalate intake due to its fully soluble oxalic acid content, making it both quickly absorbed and harmful. However, Sally mentions that in moderation, tea can be used medicinally to help the body manage oxalate release from tissues. She advises that dietary changes should be gradual, allowing the body time to adjust to avoid overwhelming it. She emphasizes that dealing with oxalate accumulation is a long-term process influenced by individual nutrition and lifestyle factors.
Sally advises that low oxalate carbs, such as white rice, are generally well-tolerated, especially for those with gut inflammation. She notes that white rice has resistant starch, which may be problematic for those with severe digestive issues. Cutting out fiber can also reduce pain and inflammation, making a carnivore diet appealing to some. Sally also highlights that juicing fruits, especially those high in oxalates like raspberries and pomegranates, can significantly reduce their oxalate content. She recommends eating nutrient-dense animal foods, taking breaks from constant grazing, and returning to traditional meal times for metabolic freedom.

How many eggs do you eat a day? I eat 2 to 4 mostly boiled as a snack and my main one meal is steaks and/or ground beef burgers with a bit of celtic salt or a seasoning blend and I'm good for 16 hours. I may incorporate avacado, berries, cucumbers at some point. Mainly want a whole foods diet while avoiding most leafy greens. I still sometimes eat butter lettuce with kimchi as a dressing. I like simplicity.

Vegetables on their own are poor mans food.
Irish famine was caused by a potato blight. People grew shorter and health deteriorated the less meat they ate.
The fatted calf needed to be exported. So if meat was bad there would be no mention of it in the religious books.

The Irish famine has nothing to do with potatoes. It’s because of a parasite called Mildiou that infected more than 60% of their potatoes plants.

Poor or rich has nothing to do with it. Meat is the fat man's food, which you would call rich. Reliance upon an agricultural issue, isn't a vegetable issue. If that agricultural issue was the food of meat, you're in the same boat.

Vegetables are rich in fiber and plethora of nutrients, are not accompanied by the saturated fats in meats, and don't contribute to global warming or a massive multi-billion dollar industry fat off the cruelty of animals that have no say if they die or not. Before you even say anything, no I'm not preaching veganism, what I am saying is that most cheap meat is curated and carcinogenic, and many of the animals it comes from eat garbage and are under constant stress. The only people who can afford to eat "quality" meats are the rich and everyone else is left to feed on the b/s or cheap nutrient lacking, fiber lacking, sugar/salt loaded processed garbage. So you're way of thinking is toxic, unhealthy and not helpful in the slightest in regards to this topic...

I've rid myself of both inflammation and major weight by eating these foods. My gout went away when I stopped eating meat at a fraction of the rate that's so pushed online these days. My kidney numbers are stellar. I solved posterior compartment syndrome which had me walking like a duck and threatening the future of my legs, with two juices. Gone, after many years. I was a heavy meat eater, owning a smoker and an infrared grill. I can butcher a chicken in a minute. My worst health comes from all that, regardless of how much I like it. I held all kinds of weight, regardless how much I exercised. My blood pressure came back to absolute normal after over a decade of horrible numbers. My facts demonstrate completely against what she is saying. On top of that (edit) my normal apneas are 90/hour, which started when I was

Vegetarian, Vegan, Keto, Ketovore, Carnivore, Superfood... this diet that diet.. i will eat wat i think my body craves on that day. Meat and other animal products, veggies a little bit of fruit that is in season. , No sugar or processed food or alcohol. i feel pretty good. My grandmother is 93 and doing amazing. I think we need to get back to how the oldies ate. Cause that generation got older than we ever will. Now 1 in 2 people get cancer and we get less and less old again and that is not because we eat meat or veggies. It is because of all the sugar and such!! Just saying!!

I love Sally amd her bringingawarenessto oxalates! FYI for anyone with these symptoms-Lyme disease symptoms are very similar to high oxalate symptoms. Both trigger autoimmune responses and affect the same parts of the body, joints, gut, and neurological functions. There may not be a way to adequately test for oxalates, but there are tests for lyme disease ( a tick borne illness). The sooner you get treatment for lyme disease the better the outcome/ less damage it can do.

As to peanuts, here's what AI says: Yes, peanuts contain oxalates, with 187 milligrams per 100 grams of roasted peanuts. However, peanuts have relatively low levels of gastric soluble oxalate compared to other nuts, such as almonds, cashews, pecans, and ginkgo.

    • @troysims2753

    • @jetjegoesdutch7933
      @jetjegoesdutch7933 17 днів тому +2

That being said,. peanuts grow on/ close to the ground and are planted after a crop like corn. They spray pesticides on them (the corn plants) and that doesn't leave the ground when the peanuts are growing. Peanuts have a soft shell and so the pesticides get right in there. Also a lot of peanuts have mold in them not to be seen by the naked eye. it's much better to eat nuts that grow on trees.

Sally is atypical because of her great love of vegetables. HOWEVER, we can learn so much from this canary in the mine. The rest of us may have lesser degrees of oxalate overload, but the cure is the SAME.
Thank you so much, Sally, for your deep research and compiling the data for us. I read your book, cut out oxalates (staying on a low ox. dose so I don't dump), and started healing: eye gunk stopped coming out at night, joint pain mostly stopped, and bone spurs are noticeably dissolving.

ACTUALLY, God did not make modern fruits & vegetables. Generations of selecting & crossing old varieties until we came up with far sweeter fruits & veggies with desireable colors & shipping ability. You can't even buy spinach in most of Europe because everyone knows that it's high oxalate. We also pick produce when unripe, before the plant reduced the oxalates via the ripening process, just so we could ship produce great distances. The produce we eat today is SO different from what our ancestors ate and what God created.
