My grandparents used to come down 2 Daytona New Smyrna in the forties. And 50s. And it finally moved to the Palm Beaches in the late 50s. And what I can tell you...
Great video. Gamble Rogers State Recreational Area is our favorite place to camp. We had a great site backed up right there overlooking the ocean. Love the drone footage. Glad to see you were able to fly it there. Have they changed the regulations to allow people to fly drones at state parks? We were stopped by a ranger when we flew our drone outside of Tomoka State Park a couple years ago.
Thanks nice video. Planing a winter camping trip soon to Florida. Do you need reservation at the camp grounds? How far is the beach from the inner campground?
Nice video! Makes me want to get an RV and join you. That would be kind of dumb, since I live right there, lol. I can see my house, and my mom's condo. Looks like you had a great time. You might want to try metal detecting down by the pier. Not many people that far south on the beach! Of course, you'll have lots of competition.
While Rogers was camping at Flagler Beach, a frightened young girl ran to him, begging him to help her father, who was in trouble in rough surf. Compromised by spinal arthritis that had been worsening since childhood, Rogers nevertheless grabbed an air mattress and headed into the ocean in a rescue attempt. Both men died in the surf. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamble_Rogers
I can answer that for you. Yes, there is a dump station. We camped there a couple times - in July and October. The rate was $28 a night, but we only paid $14 a night with the senior rate (a perk for being 65). Haha. This is our favorite campground. We had a spot overlooking the ocean. Opened the backdoor of our camper at night and listened to the surf and watched the stars from our bed. Can't beat that!
@@burbenska Thanks for letting me know. I didn't realize that. It is so nice that I think it is worth the full price at $28. We were surprised when we got the discount.
It's worth noting this is a very popular campground and it's not easy getting reservations here.
Love the drone footage...love the park!! Really thankful for share!
Great video! We are going here for Thanksgiving and are super excited.
Childhood memories of Flagler Beach!
Thank you for posting the video- enjoyed it very much. Good job.
Seven truck campers in the opening shot. I've never seen that many all in one place in Florida. Not even the Tampa RV show. Cheers!

That was great ! I live in Port St.Lucie . It's nice to know what's around !
Looks beautiful! We are leaving snow country and heading that direction in less than 2 weeks and will check it out.
Thanks for the wonderful videos!
Thank you for posting! Very helpful
Homespun very nice video! Thank you for posting! Nice music too. Great range on the drone too!
I lived in Ormond years ago and LOVE HighTides!!! Highly recommend blackened fish tacos.

I second this question. Is there a place in the regs that says it's OK in a state recreation area?
Yes good question can you tent there also and how much is it a night

Awesome 👏
Stay away, we are full here! Lol...
Ya We are full no vacancy go away
Do they have cabins???
I see a lot of RV talk. I don't own one. I tent camp.
A gopher tortoise is a protected species and cannot be harassed. They are very particular about it here in Florida.
Every fl State rec, Area has to be self-supporting .the smaller the camp. the more expensive.
Can u tent camp there?
Yes
Yup
Do they have a dump station to empty your tanks?
What are the rates during peak season?
Thanks in advance for your time

@@LuckyDawgProductionsModerator The senior discount is available only for Florida residents.

Is that fla residence senior or federal senior pass ?
Got it
Looks like it was a truck camper rally. Normally don't see that many truck campers in one place.
💜😇💜
Awesome campground 😎 Are dogs allowed ? Is there a doggy beach ? Can't go camping without my co - pilot 🏖️
From 8th street south to 23rd south is dog friendly
Turtles have webbed feet and swim tortoises have claws and drowned in the water
Did she think the turtle was going to attack?
It was a gopher tortoise, not a turtle. Often people will put them in the water to "save" them, and drown them!
Are dogs allowed on Florida beaches? On leash, of course.
Flagler county yes to dog's on beach... Volusia county, no animals are allowed on the beach. (It's been like that for long time)
Yup
The main part in town between South 15th & North 15th is where 98% of people are and animals are not allowed there
@@jasonjoseph3975 thank you for updating me
A tortoise, not a turtle.
Beware of the sharks along the east coast
we have lawyers over here on the west coast too.
Not for me. No shade trees at all.
That's why god invented AC for RVs
