We discovered Grayton Beach about 4 years ago on first trip to Destin. We went kayaking in the chain of lakes all around the park. The following year rented a house in Grayton. Wonderful area, excited to get back there to hike in the park, a knee injury didn’t allow us to while there the last time. Tons of fly overs happen Top Gun Style on some days. Also want to go to Ft Desoto
My husband and I stumbled across this beach by accident in our rental car and we were so thankful!! It is absolutely gorgeous! I was stung by a jellyfish but it was so worth it! Love the area with the alligators too :)
Did not realize that state park was there as we were stationed a the Air Base you mentioned in the early 90's. Looks like a great place to stay. Thank you.
My favorite beach as well! Only FL beach I like!! Beautiful white sand that doesn’t burn your feet and squeaks when you walk on it because it’s made of quartz. Looks like snow!
Another great job as always, Tom! That white powdery sand looks beautiful, love the shape of the dunes and their juxtaposition to the blue water. You captured it beautifully!
Thanks Marc! This is my favorite Florida campground and it has a top 3 beach in the state in our opinion! So appreciate your kind words too, thanks so much for that!

Please show us more places like this, that's why I've just subscribed and liked your video by the way -:) I am a Floridian, live in South Florida and even though I have been to MANY PLACES all around Florida, it seems like there is always something new to discover, which is great!!
The beaches are so beautiful there. The only drawback is the pure white sand attracts so much sun that it blinds you and burns you so quickly. The best time to go is early morning or late afternoon. Definitely the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to, though.
So Awesome! Welcome to our channel! Please feel free to leave feedback on each one so we know what our viewers enjoy! We put out about three a month! One comes out later today as a matter of fact!
Navarre Beach is my absolute favorite for the person who wants to be more secluded and Okaloosa Island for the softest white sand, clearest water 👌🏻🌊 (I’ve lived on the Emerald Coast my whole life)
Feel so late to the party finally getting to finish this 2 days later! Love this one Tom it looks like a gorgeous place to camp at. Trying to figure out whede we are going for Thanksgiving since Gary can finally take a week off. Clearwater is no where near this clear. We are there often since we are only 2 hrs away. Clearwater is beautiful and a great beach city but definitely not as clear. I have to say though my favorite FL beach so far is still Juno. That beach is amazing! Hope you guys have had a great week thanks for sharing another great spot!

Hi from Utah. Absolutely beautiful. Saw the gator sign, let's dwell on that a second. How many and how safe? Just wondering. Be safe and thanks for sharing 👍
The gators are all over in Florida lakes, but they usually stay to themselves and are easily avoided! I have kayaked within just 6 or 7 feet and never had them move, if you keep a proper distance they are usually no problem!

Yes, just outside the state park there was a road that you could go down with some parking allowed, I believe you needed a permit, but they issued them daily I think it was. I was surprised too, but really cool and the beach was very nice there on that stretch!
This is gorgeous, thanks for share of. From west Palm, NEVER heard of this place. Planning now. How’s the weather up that way? What’s the best time to plan this trip?
What about mosquitoes and other Critters at night that Florida is so famous for?... I lived in St Pete and Clearwater for a short time. Great video thanks for posting...

I was there is 1987. We started looking for a place near the beach to build. For a time that is all I could think about as Grayton Beach is the most beautiful beach in Florida.
Thanks Randy!! I ask myself that too sometimes. I just make them the best that I can and ask myself, would I watch this and our formula seems to be working. Thank You for your support!!!
@@CampTravelExplore you do an awesome job Tom. Sadly there are always negative nellies around and they even give thumbs down to some humungous UA-cam channels. This area looks gorgeous and you did a great job showing us around. Loved the benches by the Eagle Scouts too!

@@CampTravelExplore yeah it is hard everytime it happens especially when we work so hard at filming and editing. Thankfully though even with some serious crazy people who have commented others encouraged us too and stood up for us. I literally had one guy freak out on my other channel over calling the Mexican Pizza a Pizza and a grilled cheese a grilled cheese instead of a melt. He also went to some friends channel and did the same thing. Sadly there are some who are so miserable in life they just want others to be miserable too.

We love the Destin area in October, just a little less hot but beautiful then!! Thanks for checking it out, let us know if you get a booking there!
This video is absolutely awesome. Very well done.
We really appreciate your kind feedback!!!
Tell them to add more campsites and beach houses always booked
I always think the same thing, most of these parks have room to add sites!
sweet!!! staying there for a couple days starting tomorrow
Enjoy and ket us know what you think!
Thanks for the great video!
Thank You Stacey for your kind feedback! We really appreciate your feedback!
Thanks so much We are heading there in December!!
Thats great! Enjoy your time there, glad it was helpful!!
What about mosquitoes and other Critters at night that Florida is so famous for?... I lived in St Pete and Clearwater for a short time. Great video thanks for posting...
Well you do have some of that naturally, but we just use the thermocell products and they do a great job for us! Glad you enjoyed the video and hope you get to check it out in the future!
@@CampTravelExplore thanks for taking the time to get back to me. 4:35 a.m. Sunday morning in Glendale Arizona just going to bed. Thanks again
That reef looks awesome I definitely need to hit that
Im ready when you are :)
Thank you for this! I felt like I was there.
Thank You so much, we really appreciate feedback like this!!!
I was there is 1987. We started looking for a place near the beach to build. For a time that is all I could think about as Grayton Beach is the most beautiful beach in Florida.
I wish I could afford to build there! It is my FL favorite!!
👏👏❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻 soon I have to visit the Panhandle .... thanks
It is so worth it, the best beaches in Florida!!
Who would give a thumbs down?
This was absolutely beautiful.
I still don"t get it when people do it, but I just keep making them the best that I can! Folks like Randy here and yourself give us great positive feedback so I have learned to tune the others out!! Thanks to both of you!!!
Lol, you just have to do what your instincts tell you! My basic rule before I put a video up is, would i watch this? It has worked for us!! Keep it up! By the way, on the cooking channel side, keto is hot right now on youtube!
Thanks for taking us there! That was Great :))
So glad you enjoyed it! TY for commenting as well!
Love, love, love this area!
Its so great right! The beaches there are so nice!!
As someone who grew up close to Anna Maria Island, I much prefer the East Coast around Ormond Beach. The constant crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean is awesome. Nice video here indeed.
We love Ormond by the sea and Flagler as well ourselves!! Love the beaches on Anna Maria Island too!!
We're so excited to find #camptravelexplore YT site. We love #searchnflorida and meeting everyone out on the same paths along the way - we'll highly recommend and even send some of our friends over to view your channel. Happy trails to you all! -C&J
Welcome to our channel! Thank You so much and please share feedback on the episodes you take in!!
Bud & alleys has an awesome cucumber martini which is so refreshing with their veggie sandwich after some kyacking😊
Sounds Yum, I will have to remember for the next time!
The camp sites are booked months and months ahead. The entire coming winter is full.
You just described every popular state park lol, I hear ya though! I wish they would add some camping loops to these state parks, they all have room for it!! Thanks for checking the video out and commenting!
All Florida beach state parks are booked solid. You can book 11 months in advance and even then, most sites are booked ahead because people book the minute the reservation desk opens at 8am, exactly 11 months in advance. It’s ridiculous!
@@sharonbyrd5075 I'm glad I got to enjoy Florida as a kid. I won't be going back to such an overcrowded place, Yuk.
