just bought the files. i was very surprised by the price. very modest and affordable for my budget. thankyou for making this amazing design. gonna duel wield these in my next nerf war and be a boss
i found success printing the priming shell (slide) thickness(the axis perpendicular to the text) at 104 percent with the other axis at 100 I also found sucess in printing th pusher at 110 sale for the long ways side and keeping the thickness of the pusher at 100. this is just what worked for my and I wanted to share incase anyone is having trouble
I cant provide amazon links as i am probably not even in the same region as you, but if youre in the states get worker gen3+ darts, some 4mm elastic cord (i like the brand okaei) and a worker talon 15 round mag. You can buy magazine and darts from out of darts in the use or blaster-time in the EU
in the print settongs you said "Print settings: 3 Walls, 20% Infill, .2mm layer height". does this mean walls should have a thickness of 3 or does it mean that the wall line count should be 3
I just finished assembling my maraca but the propulsion elastic keeps slipping. and in order to keep it from doing that I have to make it too loose to actually fire with any practical velocity
I bought the files but having an issue where the gun fires on its own if I flick to reload. Seems the clearance between the trigger linkage and trigger is too small. Anyone else have this issue?
Im having a super weird issue where everything prints perfect except the grip, it comes out super jagged with very thin walls around the trigger well. Tried 3 sepatate prints with different filament brands. Any suggestions? Im using the settings the text doc says 3 wall layers .2mm layer height 20% infill
sorry for the stupid question, but im new both in fdm printing and in nerf stuff. If I understand it correctly i just need your files to print out, get some rubber bands and short nerf darts and assemble? Do i need any other parts like donors from retail blasters?
Finished printing mine, working out some kinks that I think are mostly related to my print settings (aka skill issue). However, my trigger is very heavy, but if I loosen the elastic enough to make the trigger comfortable to use, the thumb button no longer reliable locks into place. Is there a way to lighten the trigger without loosening that thumb button too much?
@@bruceleedleleedleleedlelee1127 Rubber band works much better, thanks for the recommendation. I printed the version with the mag lever, but it is very stiff, and I have already broken one lever, and I suspect the second one will break soon as well. I am going to print it out of PETG and see if I get better results, and if that doesn't work I will try TPU with lots of walls or high infill. I will edit this reply with results.
@@bruceleedleleedleleedlelee1127 First impressions are that PETG works way better for the mag lever. With this in mind, I was considering printing a Khopesh, and I will probably print the grip for that in PETG as well just so the mag catch works more smoothly.
you can use the version without the lever, you can try printing a bit hotter and with more walls and you could just make it out of a more flexible material like petg
I think I got to strong of a bungy since when I was dry firing I had to flick it really hard reload and, I only managed to get it work by flinging once even though the bungy was at minimal tightness. I know that it is not because it isn't I used grease on it. Dose any one have advice to loosen the bungy.
@@bruceleedleleedleleedlelee1127 Yeah, after a bit more testing it was just my old darts. I had also tightened the string a bit too much. Very cool design, thank you.

Love this Maraca! Thank you!
Listening to this as ASMR while my first Maraca prints 🎧
I tried different types of cords, normal bungee cords will not do the job. Purchase elastic shock cord, the power it releases is amazing!
amazon links to the darts, clip, elastic needed for this build please.
I am printing parts now, but don't know about types of nerf darts or nerf mods.

you may wanna try sanding down the nub on the triggerlinkage a bit, that has caused issues for others

you can try filing the nub on the triggerlinkage down a bit
Same thing happened to me!

Im using the settings the text doc says
3 wall layers
.2mm layer height
20% infill
try the setting to print inner walls first then outer walls
I was wondering how you did that trigger. Smart thinking linking it over the top of the mag like that
I may be completely blind, but is there a list of the number of pins and other connectors to print?
The Number needed is in the files, for example 8FramePin needs 8
Hi, can you put a link where you purchase your 4mm elastic please ? I Bought 2 blasters from your esty but my elestic seem too hard.
Try to find okaei 4mm elastic cord in orange, thats what i always use and it works pretty nice so far

you will need at least one talon mag and short darts as well
@@bruceleedleleedleleedlelee1127 thanks
Hello. I trying to make it. Where u get magazine for this gun?) Are u printing it too? or just buy?
Id just buy it, its called a worker talon magazine, they dont cost much. take the straight variant

either try some kitchen rubberband or maybe try to saw a notch into the trigger further to the pivot point and rest the elastic there

Purchase elastic shock cord, you'll be impressed by how much power it releases.
What size elastic are you using?
the etsy page said 4mm diameter
Where can I find the elastic band used here?
i get mine from a brand called okaei, but you can get it anywhere (amazon, hardware store, craft shop) as long as its 4mm diameter
@@bruceleedleleedleleedlelee1127 how long are both pieces?
What mag goes with this blaster?
Talon straight for half darts (what most hobby blasters use)
there are some fully 3d printed talon mags too. might not work super well though, i speak from experience
AFG - how to attach it? :( no pin is working...
PicatinnyPin and PicatinnyPinLock to secure it

That happens when the foam on your darts is very soft or old, try firmer darts

yep

what darts does it fire?
halfdarts only, stuff like worker gen3s and similar
You tapped the rail with gorilla glue and called it “oil.” Just pointing that out.
Correct me if I’m wrong
